Oh, she said that the enhanced ports of mario kart 8 and splatoon are actually in the nx trailer.
Hey looks it's the person who creates fake rumors that never come true and always points out obvious things in trailers
I wonder why Link owns a PS2. Got everythng else Nintendo.
Because Okami is the best Zelda game?
Hey looks it's the person who creates fake rumors that never come true and always points out obvious things in trailers
Oh come on, guys, I get not trusting her on things prior to the Switch announcement, but after posting this over a month ago (confirming a good chunk of Nintendo Switch stuff) and having Laura Dale vouch for her (who got 99% of her NS stuff true, sans a bad source), are we really still doubting her? I mean, we won't know everything until January, and I'm not saying trust her word completely, but I truly believe she has a good source on this stuff.

Not saying she doesn't do that (she lives on that stuff)
What she's doing now actually is just reposting older tweets going "LOOK EVERYONE LOOK I WAS RIGHT KEEP GIVING ME ATTENTION PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE." when the stuff she's right about is all stuff everyone else already called anyway.
Honestly if it wasn't for the fact I know she's full of shit already that would of been the nail in the coffin.

Truth be told, have no idea who Laura Dale is so won't comment on that person but it's a known fact Emily Rogers is a chronic liar who shotguns a million ideas out in the hopes that one of them sticks, then when she gets lucky or guesses the obvious she cleans up to make it look like she has a perfect track record (Which I add consists of amazing "leaks" as "There is going to be a Paper Mario game on the Wii-U" after people already figured it out from a leaked brochure at a job fair). Like there's no getting around that and each time it's brought up she casually dismisses it as "uh I guess all my other sources were wrong on this one is right : )"
What I honestly think her goal is, is to attract attention of a actual source to her and the showboating is to do just that. If you yell loud enough you're bound to catch the ear of someone who wants to post a leak through a middleman and hey this chirpy idiot won't shut up so why not?
Thing is she MIGHT have a real source by now- it's 100% possible. The issue comes from the fact that she doesn't fact check, try to find multiple sources that say the same thing, anything of the sort. What you get from Emily Rogers is someone who doesn't have a filter and doesn't desire one. She shitposts her own theories, her own wishlists etc all while posting a dozen or so rumors in the hopes of getting one right. It's why I'll never trust her even if she says one truly outlandish thing that ends up being right- it's because she's wrong about almost everything else.
Like right now in her tweet she's going on about how she "totally called Splatoon's port and Smash NX" when oh my god that's been going on for like a year now unrelated to her- everyone knew that.
She's a complete loudmouth and pardon the term, a total attention whore. It's why it's so frustrating to see places like Gamexplain or other rumor mills constantly regurgitate what she says and ignore every time something doesn't pan out.
don't ever listen to rumours
think about the point in posting a rumour - it's just for views. there's no other reason to post unconfirmed information. it's because you need views on your website (or attention). they know many people will take rumous as fact and it's essentially spreading misinformation if you're wrong which can hurt a brand. it's completely, utterly useless information until it's actually announced.
think about the kind of person who would post rumours and why they do it. then ask if they're trustworthy (the answer is no).
rumours aren't news. they are fake information for clicks. it's essentially clickbait. ignore it completely and don't listen to people who post them at all.
it concerns me how much they're focusing on how this is a home gaming system, i really think it'd be a disaster if they come out with another handheld
it concerns me how much they're focusing on how this is a home gaming system, i really think it'd be a disaster if they come out with another handheld
It's a console in terms of power and capability, even despite the portable nature of it. They released the New 3DS last year and there's still less than ten exclusives and it only really powers up or effects a handful of games in any notable fashion; to try to replace the 3DS/N3DS like that with one consolidated system when it's so successful would be stupid and reckless to try to pull off.
Is a huge Nintendo fan, has a twitch channel where he plays a lot of Banjo https://www.twitch.tv/dickhiskhan
He didn't know what it was specifically for until the day
The logos were covered in black tape initially. When it came to filming, they removed the tape to reveal what they were holding
He knew the name since September, presumably when it was filmed
Surprised the name wasn't leaked, given how many people were involved in the production
In his scene he was one of the only gamers, although recognised a gamer or two in other scenes
The Switch Unit was real, he talks a bit about what it felt like to hold. Wasn't a big fan of isomeric Sticks, think he was used to the Wii U Gamepad
Pro Controller one of the most comfortable controllers ever. Previous best was Xbox One controller
"guys nx info this week" *reposts every week for 3 months*
see i was right ;)
Emily Rogers in a nutshell
Not that you need to have INSIDER SOURCES to guess half the stuff that's true of the NX. Everyone and their mother knew it was gonna get Breath of the Wild, ports of Wii U titles was to be expected, dunno when the handheld/console hybrid idea started gaining traction but lots of people jumped on that bandwagon. Honestly the most surprising part of the trailer was the removable controllers for multiplayer. Everything else was just "ok, so this is what that proposed feature actually looks like in action".
Ravio and Yuga have been confirmed for Hyrule Legends.

It's easy for me to forget that Yuga is male
I'm still sad that Linebeck wasn't the DS character.
hoping for a hilda skin for zelda
Ravio my boy
He looks so odd tall like that

There's this, unless you mean one that more closely resembles Hilda
christ gamexplain is milking this for all its worth
30s of playing the trailer, a 30 minute video
Then again, Facepunch forum is home to the Major Update Speculation...
You know kinda left field, but in Mario Kart 8 my random pick for a new character is the Yoshi Island Bandits.
Like I know he's not that far in line when people like Diddy, Kamek and Birdo are waiting but as my random enemy turned racer pick it would be them.

You're acting as if that's something new. :v:
95% of GameXplain's content is just them overanalyzing stuff. It's great.

Also a Monster Hunter Direct is happening on the 27th, this Thursday. It was pretty explicit in saying no news about mobile ports or something for the Switch.

Damn shame, a Monster Hunter game announced for Switch launch would garuntee its starting success.

Some anonymous dude from an anonymous message board has us covered

[del]>"Just over 100" mini dungeons
>Each area has "1 full dungeon" (7 total?)
>There's an underground system (no idea of the context he's talking about here, the comment is dropped out of nowhere. Caves? Tunnels?)
>For every 4 heart pieces you collect, you get a new heart, for every 5 hearts you get "1 big heart" (I have no idea what he's talking about here)
>"Every location has its own town" (guessing he's referring to the regions, which could mean 7 towns)
>Every town has side quests, story elements, and "a secret element we're not discussing just now"
>There are weapons that don't break
>You can store items at towns[/del]
Edit: Though in hindsight I should probably keep it in check, given where I got this source, the guy might have been full of shit, but it's the only lead we got right now V:v:V
Yeah fuck it I'm striking this out until I get some actual confirmation because now it's looking the guy was pulling stuff out of his ass in an attempt to catch retards with it. He succeeded because I sure fell for it :saddowns:

This, this, this. I say this every time a """famous reliable leaker""" says something. People always forget about all the stuff these 'leakers' were wrong about and the stupid 'news' sites that reported on it pretend it never happened so they retain their credibility as well, or just outright lie about what the fake leaks were.
The best example I can think of: Does anyone remember "Geno"? He was a 'leaker' who was constantly referred to by several sites as having a great leak track record, but in reality he had never been truthful about anything ever. I've seen sites attribute the leaking of Pokken Tournament to him (i.e. "accurately predicted that a Pokemon fighting game would come to Wii U"), but if you actually look up what he said, it was pure, unfiltered bullshit. And yet this instance, with everyone being so quick to believe the revised history about what he said, is what somehow built Geno's credibility for when he spewed tons of NX bullshit. I'm glad we finally know what NX is so we can look back and laugh at this, too.
...On the bright side of not having backwards compatibility, maybe people who held out on the Wii U will have the incentive to pick one up now? Although, with ports of a ton of the games coming out on 3DS or Switch, there's less and less of a reason to.
I would definitely keep my 3DS for a while after the Switch. The WiiU however is a much more complicated story.

If someone doesn't own a WiiU by this point I really don't see them deciding now is the time to pick one up.
I would definitely keep my 3DS for a while after the Switch. The WiiU however is a much more complicated story.
Why wouldn't you want to keep your WiiU when it can play WiiU and Wii games and the Switch can't?
So Jim Sterling did his obligatory video on the Switch:

And looking back at the Wii U debut trailer, it really saddens me how little the Wii U's potential was utilized. The "put GamePad on ground to see where you're putting" bit is the big one, but I remember a whole bunch of concepts discussed at the time that no one just... ever did. I remember Penny Arcade mentioning a party of players exploring a DnD dungeon with their Wiimotes while the GamePad player acted as the DM. No one did that. Nintendo Land was a great example of some of the stuff Wii U could do, but no one ever expanded on it. Granted, it seems like a lot of the GamePad's uses only truly shine in local multiplayer, and it actually seems to me like gamers don't want local multiplayer anymore.
If someone doesn't own a WiiU by this point I really don't see them deciding now is the time to pick one up.
On the contrary, I think now that the Switch is now confirmed to have no BC with the Wii U, which a lot of people said "Wait to see if NX has Wii U BC before you pick up a Wii U at this point," now would be the point where it's finally "safe" to buy one.
I just wish Nintendo would drop the damn price already.

With how many WiiU games are being ported to other platforms, it hardly matters if the switch isn't backwards compatible - especially when many of the ports have enhanced features. The WiiU's already lost a number of it's most enticing exclusives, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot people just held out to see if the games they want ends up being ported too, if they aren't already.
