I would agree if housing placement wasn't randomized. Being able to kick someone out when they ruin a planned area is a godsend.
Agreed. Fuck bunnie for thinking she can just build on top of my carefully laid out Canadian flag flower bed.
A year ago I decided to recreate my town just to have a excuse to play again.

Today was my towns birthday :v: What timing!
I love how this update pretty much lifts the best parts of amiibo Festival (island escape) and Happy Home Designer (touch screen furniture) and plops them into regular Animal Crossing. I think Nintendo's outright admitting that those games were failures. :v:

I was just about to post this
Does anyone know if Puzzle League can be played with others? If not I'll be sad since I still play Tetris Attack netplay with my friend, but I'd still want to try it
Happy Home Designer was far from a failure
Happy Home Designer was far from a failure
It sold decently, but it scored low in reviews and definitely failed to move the amiibo line as much as Nintendo was probably hoping.
Maybe the Animal Crossing amiibos would have sold if they made an actual Animal Crossing Wii U game and not a spin off.

It did mediocre over here but HHD fucking exploded in Japan from what I understand.
They're STILL making fucking TOMES on home design.

Japanese guides are fucking crazy. I almost imported one of the phone-book-sized New Leaf ones back when that game was coming out just to have a good catalog checklist, but I ended up settling for the dinky US guide instead (which turned out be incomplete anyway).
Yeah, apparently there are different volumes based on HHD, that's just Volume 1.
I don't understand personally but v:v:v

"PIKACHU USE A Z MOVE NOOB"
groanzone
Oh neat.
I used this amiibo card

and she showed up with that adorable dress in-game. That's a neato little detail
No idea how far we're supposed to take this, but it says:
"2017年発売予定の最新作『ゼルダの伝説 ブレス オブ ザ ワイルド』は、1986年に発売された初代『ゼルダの伝説』と同じハイラルが舞台です。"
"The Hyrule in BoTW is the same as the one in the original Zelda"
If this is meant to be taken literally, then it looks like the timeline placement's been narrowed down quite a bit.
So I updated New Leaf, prior to the update, it was fall.
After the update, there's snow on the ground.
:what:

Another downfall game?
I wonder how this fits in with the Koroks.
Koroks were only in Wind Waker.

I remember when the "horses don't run into trees" video came out, people speculated that the map is Zelda II-inspired

Never heard that speculation before.

I remember the shot of the mountain against the sunset and people noticed it was extremely reminiscent of Zelda I art, and the Japanese logo is explicitly a reference to the original's. In a way, this is probably what we thought it was for a long time since E3; a reimagining of Zelda I's freedom, but now taken to a logical extreme of also being a reimagining of Zelda I's Hyrule as well, perhaps with influence from the expansion it got in Zelda II. Obviously the story is probably different, but then for all we know it could be anywhere from another Downfall of Hyrule title to a liberal remake of the original.

I'm thinking the Koroks are just the natural evolution of the Kokiri at this point
Sold my old town for about 15,000,000 bells.
Downside, Lost Mira and my complete fossil collection.
Upside, Don't have to deal with the rest of the shitty villagers and now I'm filthy rich.

Kind like how Twilight Princess started out as an OoT revision or something like that.

Isabelle is the best thing to happen to Animal Crossing
There's an Isabelle New Nintendo 3DS and an Isabelle Scooter. There is so many more items I never knew about
How do people like their ACNL towns to be laid out? I personally like my Re-Tail to be as close to the beach as possible for easy money and as few ponds as possible.
How do people like their ACNL towns to be laid out? I personally like my Re-Tail to be as close to the beach as possible for easy money and as few ponds as possible.
I did the first town that generated, so my Re-Tail is halfway through the town and to the left, so I put my house near that.
Good news then, you get the option to keep ir sell your catalog when you start over.
Gonna have to elaborate on that? Sell my catalog? As in, sell off the ability to rebuy certain items?
Is there a list of all the new items added by the update?
And is the first RV randomized each day? If so, it's really cool that you'd still have access to all this neat shit without having to buy cards for ridiculous prices
This is so weird because me and 2 friends just randomly got back into ACNL, completely unaware this update was coming
Card packs are like $5 I thought.
