hmmmmm.. GBA, SP or Micro? :v: I love the original form factor, but the SP obviously has the light, yet worse shoulder buttons and no headphone jack [sp](courageous)[/sp]. Meanwhile the micro has a headphone jack and light and not much else.
Original if you want to play Game Boy and Color games, literally anything else if not.
I'm at a bit of a crossroads with Animal Crossing. I don't know if I want to sell my town and start over or not. I'd get 16m bells if I sell it, plus an extra 1.4m if I sell the catalog with it. I've got a fully upgraded house plus storeroom, and I've made a decent little flower garden on the south part of my town. I've only gotten up to the silver fishing rod and bug net, and I'm a ways off from the gold. On one hand, it would be nice to get a new layout that would let me make a better park esque area, since the layout of my town means mine is kinda squished down to the south. Getting some new villagers and being able to refurnish my house sounds fun too, I'm kind of at the point where my house is pretty packed with shit to where I don't even care what the stores sell anymore. But on the other hand I put a decent amount of work with my big ole flower garden. If I sell my town, 10m of those bells will be going into getting my house upgrades back, so I won't have nearly as much to work with in terms of public work projects. I don't know if I'd sell my catalog either, there are a few cool pieces of furniture I'd like to keep. What do you guys think. Sell or keep.
I don't think it would be worth it to sell my town.
Do unlocked public works projects (minus the buildings I assume) carry over after you sell your town? That uncertainty is probably what's holding me back the most. I want to get a good layout and create a perfectly laid out metropolis but I will be god damned if I'm waiting for all that shit to unlock again.
Original if you want to play Game Boy and Color games, literally anything else if not.
You can play GB and GBC games just fine on an SP though.
Picked up this bad boy today. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ReIqPby.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/8s6nt5O.jpg[/t]
You can play GB and GBC games just fine on an SP though.
You mean I've gone my entire life thinking that the SP can't play original packs? Huh. Don't trust discount gaming magazines from 2001 I guess.
its only the GBA micro that cant play them cause tbh the games are as big as it is
To re-answer your question, the GBA SP is a great console and definitely the best model. No backlight in the original model kinda blows, and the micro is a bit of a pain to use. If you have nostalgia for the original model then it might be worth it, but otherwise go SP. But be sure to check its battery and whether or not it needs replacing, as it has a rechargeable lithium battery, which is another advantage.

I wish the new 3ds had more skins. I got the NES 3DS for Christmas like 3 months before they released the new 3ds...

I've been thinking about going all digital on the Switch, but I have no idea how much space I'd need. I bought most first party games on the Wii U, and I got them physically so I ended up barely using my external I bought for it. How much space would you guys recommend? I'm thinking a 500GB SD card might suffice, but I'm worried I might come up short. Especially since the Switch will probably get more games than your average Nintendo console, being a hybrid.
500GB SD card.
:scream: Do we even know the default internal storage capacity of the Switch? I wouldn't worry about that kind of thing until we know more about the system and, for that matter, how big the games will be.
:scream: Do we even know the default internal storage capacity of the Switch?
If the rumors are correct, they learned nothing about hard drive space and we get 32GB yet again.
This is exactly what I'm worried about. It'd be great having 100-200GB of internal storage right off the bat, but I'm not sure how long that'd last me if all my titles were digital. I think the biggest reason I want to go digital is it'd just be nice to have your entire library in your hands anytime you go somewhere.
Nintendo's online infrastructure (eShop, accounts etC) will undoubtedly be just as poor as ever so going digital now is no more viable then it was for the 3DS or Wii U.
Meanwhile I'm crossing my fingers hoping to god they don't go the way of Playstation and Xbox and have us pay a monthly subscription to play online.
does anyone have any totally fucked/broken n64 controllers (they'd be willing to part with)? i wanna salvage bits. bonus dollars if they're a cool colour. pm me!
Meanwhile I'm crossing my fingers hoping to god they don't go the way of Playstation and Xbox and have us pay a monthly subscription to play online.
that entire concept is why i never play online console games. i already pay my internet bill, why do i need to pay again to have online access to my video games

I wouldn't take those as the real estimate just yet.
Meanwhile I'm crossing my fingers hoping to god they don't go the way of Playstation and Xbox and have us pay a monthly subscription to play online.
Nintendo may be somewhat out of touch, but I think to charge for online feels unlike them. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I just don't see them doing it.
Looks like Nintendo (of Japan) officially announced that the production of Wii Us is going to end soon, at least within Japan. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/hardware/lineup/index.html The dark grey boxes below the Wii Us read "Coming production scheduled to end (in Japan)". Run through Google Translator I'll admit, but it seems to be the case.
Good luck to whoever is going for the Mini NES tomorrow. Gonna hit my local Target 30mins prior, if I can't snag one, I'll head to Best Buy later on.
I'm going to try my luck on Amazon at 2PM. If not, gonna check my local Gamestop.
I'm currently in front of Walmart in case they have it and they open at 7(pst). If they don't there's a Gamestop at literal walking distance with no line or people, but it opens at 10
