People keep pointing out the buttons, but there's a lot more to it that makes it really hard to be faked. Like the fact that he actually slid the Joy-Cons out and into the controller dock. You can't just 3D-print that kind of functionality without considerable time and effort. This isn't like that other pre-reveal fake, this one has actual functionality that we have video proof of.
It's really not. I've worked on projects where we used old first generation 3d printers and I was able to 3d print parts that would easily be able to snap or slide together. With newer 3d printers you could make that stuff work pretty easily if you just got all the measurements correctly and used some sandpaper afterwards.
Until he turns it on and shows us that it actually works, it might as well be a glorified paperweight whether it's real or not.
are they insane? $10? lmao
Yeah, they could've made much more had it been a F2P progression-limited whale-based system instead.
i get that nintendo doesn't want to devalue their games but they'd be lucky enough to get people to buy it for 1 dollar let alone 10
On a more positive note: Nobody really cared about the game in the first place and maybe it'll discourage Nintendo from moving too much toward mobile platforms instead of their own consoles.
So... Breath of the Wild isn't going to make the launch window apparently. It may not even make it until Summer or even Autumn 2017 by the sound of things. Unless Nintendo has another massive title on the way for the Switch (maybe that new Mario), then I don't see the launch sales for the console being nearly as big as most anticipate. I mean, why buy the new console when the most high profile game on it isn't even going to be out for another few months at best after it? Please let the Switch have some actual games on it at launch Nintendo. We don't want another repeat of the Wii U launch.
"Emily Rogers" Move along, folks.
Considering Eurogamer is also reporting the same news and the way Nintendo seems to always be bad at everything when it comes to console launches. I am not surprised if this is the case.
"Emily Rogers" Move along, folks.
Even if it is Emily Rogers, at this point, I really wouldn't put it past Nintendo. This is easily the most ambitious game that Nintendo has made in years, so it makes sense that they'd spend months upon months polishing the game up as much as possible, and pushing that date in 2017 out as late as possible to make sure that the game is as good as it possibly can be. And as much as I'd have loved for BotW to make the launch window, I'd rather them release the game in as much of a polished state as they can rather than potentially release a game that might be broken in a couple of areas and then patching it down the line later. Not like Nintendo is the type of company to do that latter bit anyway.
Nintendo missing the launch of their console and having nothing of real value on offer is believable though. So it begs the question: why launch in March if one of your biggest games that everyone is clamoring for isn't even available?

Launch without the biggest, most anticipated Nintendo title in a long time? Yeah... no. Feels like something pulled out because they need to feed in something since the Switch is no longer rumor factory. BotW is the next big thing after it.
Except for the fact that it sounds exactly like a fuck up nintendo would do
a news article written on a blog post written on a rumor good
eurogamer also confirmed it with their source at nintendo. i trust them at this point.
Except for the fact that it sounds exactly like a fuck up nintendo would do
Which is why I still have this little bit of me that is scared it gets delayed again... It's the only thing I don't want Nintendo to fuck up. Come on, Uncle Nintendo! Don't get drunk and forget to pick up BotW on the way to launch date!
They should just delay the console at this point. No point in launching the Switch if your top game doesn't release with it, that's exactly what happened to the Wii U.
switch is dead zeldo is cancelled mario is now an iOS exclusive endless runner with power up microtransactions edit: wow no fun allowed here I guess
Reminder that on a perspective note, Super Mario 64 did not meet the Nintendo 64's intended launch. In reality, Nintendo delayed the Nintendo 64's launch to meet Super Mario 64's, as originally both were intended for a November 1995 release, but ended up coming out over a half of a year later in Japan in June 1996 (and even then, it was technically an incomplete state, as the American version released in the end of September 1996 has much more cleaned up visuals, sound effects, bugfixes and even added voice line content). Even then, Super Mario 64 was released in a rushed state because Nintendo was losing patience at the sheer amount of time they wasted not having the console out, which resulted in cuts like Yoshi and even removed multi-player involving Luigi.
At this point, we can really only hope that Nintendo has some other huge game up their sleeve for the launch of the Switch, instead of just ports of Wii U games to it. Don't get me wrong, the ports are nice and all, but if some people weren't willing to buy a Wii U for MK8 or Splatoon before, what makes you think they're going to buy a console for them now? The hardware gimmick is nice, but without having something new and high profile like a Mario or Zelda on launch, they're going to have a hard time pushing systems, which means consumers will lose interest, which means 3rd party developers will lose interest. Basically, a repeat of the Wii U, just without the confusing name and marketing. And I'm not expecting much in terms of excitement for the Jan 12th event either. It's a live event that's bringing in analysts and investors as its main audience, so there probably won't be that much fanfare regarding anything announced. It's probably not going to be a Nintendo Direct or E3 style show from what's been said about it. More serious, less hype. I think it honestly would be a better idea to delay the console at this point, or at the very least, in hindsight, not proclaim that it's coming out in March of next year. Nintendo has kind of put themselves in a corner by doing that, because they can either release a console in March that doesn't have much in terms of games (if they don't have a big game at launch), or upset everyone by delaying it until what would probably be the holiday period. Either way, consumer interest goes down, but the latter option at least has a chance of keeping whatever hype the console had steady until the next big Nintendo IP comes out. Not to mention the huge surge in holiday sales due to the console being new and exciting.

Don't post Emily Rogers news. B: Her entire basis for it being pushed back is that they can't bug test it because localization isn't done. Anyone who actually knows anything about that process knows that bug testing doesn't wait for the script to be done to begin. That makes literally no sense. C: Emily Rogers is the one that started the whole "Playable Girl Link" thing, after she said it a day later Eurogamer said "We have our own source but yeah we're backing up Emily Rogers too." about it. They're known to just c/p what she says and claim they have a different source so do keep that in mind. Y'all know how I feel about how the Switch is being handled at this point but if it really did wind up delayed then I don't even know what the hell Nintendo has planned at this point. The console will be DoA

people will buy it i'll buy it
If you're going to put the words "Rumor" or "Emily Roger" next to the Switch. You can bet your ass that i'm going to do one of the longest eye-rolling ever.
I'll bet you that the majority of Switch launch titles are just going to be WiiU ports. Stuff like Splatoon, and Mario Kart 8 will probably be there day one.
Since the Amiibo thread is kinda dead. alright to post pictures? [t]http://i.imgur.com/xBLa5Q5.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xRfHdbX.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/P91xu6g.jpg[/t] Rescued the Toad and Captain Falcon a while ago, i mean i wasn't a fan of the Non-Smash Amiibo but a £6 Toad was a steal, Cap was £11 loose. Animal Crossing probably gave Happy Home Designer a colbert bump in all fairness. they must have been shelfwarmers for a while since there was dust on many of them. anyone needing a 3DS ingame? if the wifi is good, i can probably put in Isabelle at the campsite sometime. got most of the Splatoon (sans Squid Sisters), Villager and Zelda items. [sp]collectively the Cyrus/Reese/KK Slider combo was cheaper than all 3 individually[/sp] EDIT: Dear god, Isabelle wears glasses and casual clothes inside her RV, that's so adorable!
