I would love to get the Palutena Amiibo. But, god damn, it's another fucking Toy R' Us store exclusive. And there's no way i'm paying to ship one Amiibo, nor wait an entire week for Pokemon Moon to come. :/
I think the exclusivity deals have run out at this point. Might be wrong though.
I think the exclusivity deals have run out at this point. Might be wrong though.
Nah, they actually did it again. The original Palutena exclusivity was on Amazon. Now Toys R' us has it.
If Zelda ends up coming out on the Switch's launch day, can that please be the point where we stop paying attention to Emily Rogers? Like seriously if she's wrong about this as well then I might even message GameXplain and beg them to stop covering her rumors.
She's claimed that Soul Calibur 5 and GTA5 would be launch titles for the Wii-U, she's said sources tell her Rockstar is supporting the Wii-U themselves, she's the person who spammed places with "You can be a girl in BotW", she's been wrong about Mother 3 and a million other things People will never stop
Nah, they actually did it again. The original Palutena exclusivity was on Amazon. Now Toys R' us has it.
and Lucina was best buy.
I still have a first print Lucina MiB, honestly forgot I had it. It and a Japanese SMB Yoshi MiB were hiding behind a bunch of figure boxes on my shelf. Aside from that, the only Amiibos I've gotten recently are the Rathalos+Girl Amiibo, and ROBIN. Missing Meta Knight, Dedede, and Wario, now.
Can somebody make a list out of all of the things Emily Roger has pulled out of her ass and has been completely false? "leakers" seem to rely on making semi-reasonable guesses that anybody could make and hoping that people ignore all of the things they claimed at the same time that turned out to be false which people seem to be happy to do as long as at least half of their claims were correct. I'm just skeptical because many aspects of the Switch were very predictable by the time she started making claims in the leadup to the Switch announcement.
C: Emily Rogers is the one that started the whole "Playable Girl Link" thing, after she said it a day later Eurogamer said "We have our own source but yeah we're backing up Emily Rogers too." about it. They're known to just c/p what she says and claim they have a different source so do keep that in mind.
source? i'm not finding anything about eurogamer backing up the female link rumor
source? i'm not finding anything about eurogamer backing up the female link rumor
I don't think any journalists really covered it besides the obvious ones (Polygon), or if they did, it was after the stupid "backlash" Nintendo and Aonuma got due to their explanation of it not being a thing. I'll still say that, despite the source, I would still see Nintendo pulling something like this. Considering how ambitious the game is (for Nintendo), and how we've barely even seen the surface of what the actual game is like, I could imagine them going through a decently long testing cycle for it before pushing it out for release. Nintendo usually isn't one to push a game out and patch it on day one or later, after all.

See? She was right that time! Remember? What if she's right this time too, huh? Huh!?" and ignore the 90% of times she inaccurately spewed something. I took the rumor with a grain of salt but once I knew she was behind it in some way, the cap fell off the shaker and ruined any chance of that rumor being remotely plausible.

This time they're definitely legit!" Then the information is wrong. Then she posts something else a month later and everybody freaks out again. "Well DUH, she just had bad sources that time. This time they're definitely legit!" Are there any leakers out there with really good track records? Ones that don't open their mouths to get attention every time they hear something vaguely plausible?
From time to time actual devs show up on Neogaf and post cryptic riddles about leaks that turn out to be entirely true

Anyone else notice how Puzzle League is really hard without amiibo
Rumors ahoy from Laura K:
The following info once again comes from Laura Kate Dale, who leaked accurate Switch details prior to the reveal trailer. Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Wii U version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is not going to hit the previously expected launch date either - with that said, Nintendo still plans to release a Wii U version of the game Mario Switch - the Mario game shown in the Switch reveal trailer is planned as Switch release day title in all territories - this Mario game will feature a 3D open world hub from which different worlds can be selected - there will be multiple objectives to complete in each, much like Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy - the multiplayer teased in the trailer will be a co-op version of the main game - both players will be able to work together, but with a some sort of tether to keep each other from wandering too far - player two’s gameplay will not hold player one back from progress - player two can be the one to complete an objective and be shown as receiving the level end reward - a screen will then show how much of the progress toward that success was down to each player - this Mario title has a demo in development that will be ready for press to play in January 2017 Switch SKUs - two Switch SKUs (stock keeping unit) - the more expensive option will come bundled with a new version of Splatoon Splatoon Switch - 1 vs 1 mode where two players on separate Switches can fight over a map - you can change your weapon of choice mid-game - Nintendo expects the short match nature of Splatoon to translate well to handheld multiplayer - plans to add additional single player content to the game - the Switch version will have a similar free content output schedule to the Wii U version Skyrim Switch port - port is indeed happening - will be out launch day - will allow mods at some time post-launch - mods limited to using existing in-game assets

Kinda bullshit how one of the amiibo abilities is literally "the base ability except twice as good" Never knew animal crossing could be made pay to win but there you go
I kinda hate calling it pay to win when the games easy to clear if you're good at the game. I ran through kinda hard with just the base ability because I'm used to Tetris Attack. That being said Tom Nooks ability is just a free win basically so if you're bad at puzzles I guess it can be seen that way.
Shigeru miyamoto turns 64 today
Miyamoto 64, Super Mario 64 mod when?
I'll be interested in Super Mario Switch if it goes back to open levels, instead of 3D Land's/World's linear levels.
Mario 64 had Luigi in it at some point, I wonder if they still have the model of him back in the Nintendo Harddrive
Mario 64 had Luigi in it at some point, I wonder if they still have the model of him back in the Nintendo Harddrive
More than likely it was just a recolored Mario stretched a bit.
More than likely it was just a recolored Mario stretched a bit.
If even, Luigi didn't get his own sprite sets until after the fact in a revision of Super Mario World. There is no known footage of Luigi in the game, however there is some showing Mario helicoptered at the end of a somersault similar to the way Luigi did in 64 DS. There is a pretty nice fan made Luigi though, which is probably the one you think of from things like the SM64 Multiplayer Mod.
Mario 64 had Luigi in it at some point, I wonder if they still have the model of him back in the Nintendo Harddrive
This just made me realize that I totally want the ability to use Mario's 64 model in Super Mario Switch. Something about the contrast between N64 and HD models really amuses me. Maybe it could be a reward for beating the game or getting 100% completion or something.
Something about the early Mario models are kinda appealing, he was much pudgier in those days. Nintendo really got the hang of 3d modeling in the early days.
The 3D model render that they made for Mario for Mario 64 is my favorite Mario, so many different renders had him with more emotions than just constant happiness

I'd love to have a modern highly polished HD game with the visual design sense of late nineties "how does this 3d thing work" Nintendo.
I'd love to have a modern highly polished HD game with the visual design sense of late nineties "how does this 3d thing work" Nintendo.
Nah, now they're in the "let's make this mix of real life textures and solid colors on our mascots' renders" phase. [t]http://mariopartylegacy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/mp10newart1.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/vJmc8yi.jpg[/t] [t]http://mariopartylegacy.com/wp-content/gallery/Mario-Sports-Superstars---9/1/mssart6.png[/t][t]http://071bc3d04e2671665c74-5a267f839fbe60d0845a37698418bb02.r26.cf5.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Mario-Sports-Superstars_render_1.jpg[/t] It's weird to look at from up close. But I always found that Metal Mario render to be the best thing ever. I had found a folder with that render print during all my childhood. I probably have it somewhere stored tho I do remember it being a bit damaged. But I felt like it was the best thing to carry my drawings around.
