If I want color splash to be like the first two paper mario games, how disappointed will I be if I played it?
Color Splash is an overall good game. But it isn't anything like the first two. Again, neither was Super Paper Mario, and that was good too (personally I like Super Paper Mario more than the first two)

I also enjoyed it.
Color Splash's Toads were better characters then Super Paper Mario's photoshop shape men /hot take.
Still angry at Color Splash that they didn't even put some of the girl toads or Toadette: [T]https://67.media.tumblr.com/5dcee2b806af9183b587731b2bcad6f4/tumblr_o66i3hmHf71rrftcdo1_500.gif[/T] Was adding a ponytail or something too damn hard Nintendo?

It's so pixely!
What the hell is going on in the back there? It's so pixely!
the full power of the gamecube unleashed
Wait that's Thousand Year Door? Whoops
What the hell is going on in the back there? It's so pixely!
Those pixely characters were the crowd in the Glitzpit Arena, so they used that to reduce lag in that area. [T]http://www.mariowiki.com/images/e/e3/Glitz_Pit.png[/T]
Color Splash's Toads were better characters then Super Paper Mario's photoshop shape men /hot take.
Seriously though, the character design in Super Paper Mario just bugs me. Everything is made out of assorted polygons and it makes everything look so homogenized and boring.
The underworld had some cool designs
I just remember stupid circle butterfly shape and box devil shapemen
Also color splash looks pretty damn amazing visually

Love it or hate it, I think we can all agree that SPM > Sticker Star. More like sucker star because I bought that shit at release.
Love it or hate it, I think we can all agree that SPM > Sticker Star. More like sucker star because I bought that shit at release.
At least it's a homebrew entrypoint.
Also color splash looks pretty damn amazing visually
It'd look better if they didn't make the animations so jittery, however.
God I wish that Persona Q didn't launch on the Old 3DS purely because of the Grimoire 3DS system, I wish there was a N3Ds version
I just remember stupid circle butterfly shape and box devil shapemen
How could you not remember the best character?
Was he in hell? I thought that's what we were talking about.
Hey, internet isn't THAT bad.
Oh, basically every edition of the 3ds xl is sold out here except for the Mario World version
Oh, basically every edition of the 3ds xl is sold out here except for the Mario World version
It might be because ones with popular franchises are known to sell best, so the stores stock them over more obscure ones.

Plus, you know..

So is the story. But beyond that I struggle to find things Super Paper Mario did well. Even the combat is kinda lame.

If the game was a turn based RPG with action commands it'd be improved tenfold. The game's dialogue is enjoyable and the gameplay is present and not actively offensive. Bits like the shmup battle against Mr L in space and the Sammer Guy tournament that gets cut short, only to be revisited in the postgame were great, though.
Speaking of Turn Based RPG's with Action Commands, Dragon Ball Fusions has been out a few days stateside, Has anyone else had a chance to give it a shot? I've been pleasantly surprised, it's significantly less shallow than I expected [sp]for a Dragon ball game[/sp]
Dunno if anyone's mentioned it here yet, but Japan's been getting a deluge of SFC games on 3DS VC last week and this week in celebration of the Super Famicom's 26th anniversary. [thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/27431030/site%20materials/forum/fp/sfc_annivgames.png[/thumb] We have five of these on the NA VC. Can you guess which ones? :v: Would be nice if they at least brought the puzzle games over, like Mario's Super Picross and Kirby's Star Stacker. They did bring Super Picross over to the EU VC, but not to NA. I guess Europeans are less intimidated by number puzzles? You also get this theme if you buy any one of these games: [thumb]https://67.media.tumblr.com/c5804734ee42e69ba787d160bbfc70b0/tumblr_ogz514eLn01s2z1y6o1_400.jpg[/thumb] Man, I wish I didn't pass up that SFC-style N3DS XL.
