Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I keep getting an error whenever I try connecting to the net on my 3DS and was wondering if anyone else has experience with the particular error. "Error Code: 003-2101" Any help would be appreciated.
so i have a quick question about hyrule warriors on 3DS, i just started playing adventure mode and im trying to be sorta completionist. on the first adventure map im trying to get a reward (heart container) for an "A" rank victory, and im supposed to use a bomb to search for the reward. ive already blown up the wall i need to, ive gotten an A rank, and (according to guides ive looked at) i played through the battle as sheik (the specific battle is "Fight as a warrior of light!"/A7), but it still wont give me the reward. am i missing something here

If you don't play the right character or haven't unveiled who gets the heart, you won't get anything.
how would i unveil who gets the heart? the container shows a ? next to it instead of a portrait
You haven't unlocked that character yet
how would i unveil who gets the heart? the container shows a ? next to it instead of a portrait
It means it's for a character you haven't unlocked yet
guides say sheik though and shes basically unlocked from the start :/
guides say sheik though and shes basically unlocked from the start :/
You might be looking at a Hyrule Warrior guide, for the Wii U. For the 3DS version this one is the best : https://www.gamefaqs.com/3ds/167257-hyrule-warriors-legends/faqs/73095 It also lists A7 as needing Aghita, not Sheik.
oh...yeah i guess it wouldve been nice to know that requirements changed between wii u and 3DS, thanks
I think I found a way to hook up my 3DS to my sound system
I think I found a way to hook up my 3DS to my sound system
Headphone jack? [sp]does surround sound work[/sp]
Headphone jack? [sp]does surround sound work[/sp]
The options are headphone jack or an NTR plugin. 5/7.1 Surround isn't ever going to work since the 3DS only uses 2 audio channels for everything, it should be fine if you go for a 2.1 setup though.
I think thats a tempban. Try changing your serial.
Huh, odd. How would I go about doing that? I haven't picked up my 3DS since the MHGen launch, so I'm a little confused as to why that'd be the case.

I can make time for this... maybe... probably... -Appointments Cancelled-
There's apparently going to be a eShop sale for The Game Awards. Xenoblade X is in there for RPG (since it was released in December it's considered for 2016's awards) so if you want to play it before the inevitable switch port buy it when it maybe goes on sale.

And now we know why the fan games were removed.
Watch it just be more Plateau gameplay
I really hope the towns in BOTW are cool and actually feel like living breathing communities; and that there's more then one. The past 3D Zeldas always had really one major city and the rest of the communities were literally just Kakariko and a handful of people in a cave somewhere.

Gerudo, Goron and Zoras on their own would make for very diverse villages or cities to visit. Sheikah is another tribe that is already VERY present in BotW as they are introduced in the first minutes/hours of the game as this technological advanced group. Kakariko is the stapled "main village" of the Zelda series. I wouldn't be surprised if it was created or expanded after Ganon was locked away in Hyrule's Castle to accommodate the exiled nobles. What I would love to see (and what seemed to be implied during E3) is the possibility of scattered communities or houses in the plains that live off of nature's gifts. Remember the small villager's house in the very first teaser? Was a shepherd's house. If they kept the concept of it, we could end up having random country folks (maybe even the Lon Lon Ranch!) in the main lands of Hyrule. What I remember them saying was that they removed towns and NPCs (except the Old Man) to avoid spoilers. I believe they did so because it was easier to remove the entities that could trigger unwanted events. Even the Old Man was seen around his cabin (the one where player would find on the Great Plateau with a Woodcutter's Axe) chopping wood in footage outside the E3 Demo so that could be the trigger for an event that would say too much. There are even some weird looking spots around the Great Plateau where floor textures seem to indicate that there was something there. Weird spots with no grass especially. They also mentioned that the player can rush through the game and finish it quite hastily but if they take the time to help townsfolk, they will reveal information about secrets or even Link's past. So while I'm afraid it will feel barren in some regions, it will probably not be like Twilight Princess's barren. TP didn't have wild animals running around, tons of enemy outposts and secrets hidden around the scenery. Add a couple ruins and towns where people live and you get a pretty lively world. The E3 Demo just isn't the best reference for it as it felt barren for a reason: they showed what they wanted us to know and only that. By doing so, they removed elements that broke the original feel. And besides, it's not like we could have seen anything from the Great Plateau aside from how vast the world is. System still has its limits. Still cautiously optimistic while eagerly anticipating the game. It will feel really weird to hold the game in my hands, even just playing it.
I just always disliked the fact that the Gerudo, Zora, Kokiri, Korok, Rito, and Goron cities were always hidden away in lonely corners of the map. They felt really secluded and segregated, with only each species living in each area. When BOTW releases, I hope that it has different races living together, or that there's at least tourists or sightseers in each area. A few hub towns where Goron merchants or blacksmiths live with Zora fishermen and Hylian soldiers would be cool.
Headphone jack? [sp]does surround sound work[/sp]
I just tried it and it works! Sadly the sound is a bit quiet and not the highest quality but if your surround sound system can do virtual or mine has a multi channel function which plays through all the speakers and does bass properly then you're good to go!

Especially in Hyrule Castle. Otherwise, they just appeared after some progress. Like Zoras in the hot springs or the Gorons in the city (not the hot spring seller, the other hidden sellers in a building). While it was nice, they didn't do much or changed anything. While I'd love to see a prospering Kakariko. They could implement a way for the player to change this small village into a prosperous town, where finding different members of the other races would try to find exile or a new life in the village. Each NPC would bring something different depending on their tribe. Zoras would bring seafood and fish to would be sold there. Gorons would bring new ways to temper weapons and maybe a way to exchange ore into rupees. Gerudo would bring rare items or be hired to scavenge outposts (since they seem to respawn after a while so if marked, the thieves will explore the general area and bring you the item(s) while you do something elsewhere). As time goes, Kakariko grows to be a huge influential town. And lots of interactions could be made too. Remember the workers in Ocarina of Time? What if they are seen building stuff in BotW and you bring in Gorons that would help, which would then unlock a new shop or a bar. Then you would see them all together sharing food and drinks. Zoras bringing different ingredients would add to the list of local restaurant/inn. Same goes for the other tribe's villages. Gerudo warriors in a Goron village could unlock hybrid weapons to be crafted thanks to the expertise of the two tribes. Just making small interactions that change the world slowly due to the player's input would be enough to make it organic and alive.
Have Gorons and Dekus ever interacted with each other in the series before?
Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I keep getting an error whenever I try connecting to the net on my 3DS and was wondering if anyone else has experience with the particular error. "Error Code: 003-2101" Any help would be appreciated.
Based on my cursory research, it appears to be a non-Nintendo connection issue. Either a problem with your router/connection or a problem with your ISP. My money's on it being a router issue, so maybe try looking up how to implement good settings on your particular router model. Just google the error code and look at the articles that come up; there are lots of suggestions you can follow.
While not directly related to Nintendo, there are rumors going around that Activision has pulled the plug on Skylanders: I wonder what this means for Amiibos.
It means Nintendo has to get off their asses and make a Skylanders type amiibo game.
It means Nintendo has to get off their asses and make a Skylanders type amiibo game.
To be honest, I'm surprised amiibo aren't used more than they are. Smash Bros. amiibo are on-par with what I expect, but so far, the rest just seem to be either very underwhelming, or physical DLC purchases. Twilight Princess, a mainstream Zelda title (remastered for the Wii U rather than being a main entry, mind you) had... Double damage, refill hearts, and refill arrows? Then there's that cave that Wolf Link gets you, but still. And look at Pokemon, too. Huge game for Nintendo, zero amiibo support, or amiibo figures, if that. It's all a concept they could have done so much with, went full force for Smash Bros., but then fizzled out otherwise.
Well looks like either Ubisoft is trolling us, or this is a confirmation of the Super Mario Rabbids RPG Switch game: Source (0:24):
