He was shaking when handling the screen and pulling the kickstand. He was nervous as hell. He is the first man outside Nintendo to play the Switch and experiment Zelda on it. Not hold it like the actors in the ad. Play it!

I don't even know how I'll react when I'll get mine eventually. Not just the console, the game itself. It's going to be surreal just watching the intro of the game on my TV.
Starting that game up will not even compare to when I first booted up Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword on Christmas Day. Or rewatching the intros of OoT and MM on 3DS.

BotW is on another level. March cannot come sooner.

I'd imagine villagers are hard/time consuming to unlock unless you pay money. And you can probably pay to get unique or specific villagers.

Same for home expansions. Maybe even limit the tools, have them break after usage, and have superior Gold Tools for purchase.

I don't mind its existence, and it's definitely a nice collection item, but in a world where flawless NES emulation is a thing, it's definitely not worth the price for the technical point alone.

Still, for those who don't want to play around with the world of 3rd party emulation, it's a great option.

I'm honestly more excited for the potential rumor of the Gamecube Virtual Console being a thing with the Switch, because while Dolphin is pretty damn good and has a lot of nice features (higher resolution, texture mods, netplay, etc), its emulation still isn't perfect with even some popular 1st party games still having some issues here and there.

At least it's sort of obvious what it is. It is a new version of the 3DS after all. Definitely could've done better though.

Couldn't say the same about the Wii U when it was initially revealed, and even with the system out, some people still don't know what it is. Especially those uninformed, which results in things like kids getting Wii U games for their b-day or on Xmas from their parents because they have a Wii.

Also, how long before their marketing campaign starts using the phrase [I][U][B]"will you make the Switch?"[/B][/U][/I]

Well it's purpose is to switch between dock and on-the-go hence the name. I think it's a great name. Better than using the 3DS brand which is so confusing and has so many versions it's hard to get into it as a consumer.

The Switch namesake isn't much different than the Gamecube. It's a description of what it looks like and/or what it can do.

Besides that, it rolls off the tongue quite nicely.

Nintendo codenames are interesting. In some cases, I might have preferred them to just go with the codename, in others, I can clearly see why they didn't.

The Nintendo "Revolution" certainly sounds a lot more badass and appealing to older and more "mature" audiences than the "Wii", but I can't deny the success that the Wii name helped to bring the console in terms of mainstream adoption.

As for the Wii U, I prefer that name over "Project Cafe", even though the Wii U name was nowhere near ideal with it. I have to wonder what else they could've called the console though.

And who would want to buy a console named the Nintendo "Dolphin"? Gamecube is straight and to the point.

I think the only one that's sort of a toss up is the Nintendo 64, and the Nintendo ULTRA 64. They're both essentially the same, only with ULTRA having more of an appeal to younger audiences because it's "ULTRA."
