Speaking of manga adaptations, Twilight Princess' manga is... pretty violent in some places I heard.
Like[sp]Link loosing an arm when the Bokoblins first attack Ordon and the first wolf transformation being painful looking[/sp]
Also, you're forgetting about the Four Swords manga which is pretty straight forward (there isn't much story in FS Adventures but the author doesn't deviate much aside from giving Link a father), gives each Link a distinct personality and gives each a slight mini development arc to show their strength and weaknesses that culminates into them ending working together. It's a nice adaptation with also two volumes and an extra bonus chapter of shenanigans [sp]such as the Four Sword not unifying the Links after being put back in the pedestal[/sp].
Not to mention, OoT also has two original stories in it, being Young Link and the Skull Kid and Adult Link helping bird people. And MM had that weird interpretation of Majora in the final chapter and the first chapter (tho the reason behind that one is due to Akira having started working on the manga before the game was out so he had to kill time until it was released). Just to show you how much freedom the author had with the stories to the point where he could write in characters that weren't in-game.
Aren't the authors of the Zelda manga two women?
Aren't the authors of the Zelda manga two women?
I have the bad habit to default to the "he". Yes they are. Akira Himekawa is actually the collab of two women. I'll fix that.
It seems that these are pretty much confirmed now thanks to the Switch Debut.

How? Well one page shows a USB-C power cord.
I mean I already believed them but there was that slim chance they were inaccurate.
(Carrying case could still be inaccurate though)
it seems like they listened and redesigned the back so charging while in kickstand mode isn't impossible now. you'd need a special angled cable, but still!
Tried calibrating it?
Yeah, it seems to be a hardware issue.
"I don't like this game so I'm pretty sure the guy behind the game hates it too." is projecting pretty hard by the way.
I get the impression Sakurai is really happy with how 4 came out and anything else is kind of projecting.
I don't know, it's pretty easy to get the impression of a guy not enjoying working on something when he literally leaves his job at HAL to stop making sequals (this is his reasoning according to a handful of interviews), constantly gets upset at his playerbase (both casual and competitive), handwaves the vast majority of what said playerbase says and every other interview with him involves melodramatically lamenting on how hard it is to work on the game, how it's causing his hands to be damaged (which to be fair is fairly plausible considering things) or how he doesn't want to make another Smash game (even though he said this after both Melee and Brawl, as well).
I imagine that he was ecstatic during some parts of development (i.e. he seemed really happy about tabbing Cloud) but I just don't feel like he particularly enjoys developing the series overall, and that the transition from 64 to Melee and Melee to Brawl had a larger feeling of impact than that of Brawl to Smash 4. However, said statement is merely an opinion and not fact.
There's a difference between not enjoying the development and disliking the actual game, though. Of course he doesn't dislike the stuff he made, he just seems exhausted from the process.
I suggest watching 6 days to air.
It's about South Park but every season Trey comes into the office and goes "I can't do this anymore. It's over let's give up." before buckling down and getting things done and he always ends it with "y'know what that wasn't so bad after all."
People say they're done all the time, it's usually because of how daunting a task is and let's not forget Sakurai has already said "if they do a smash 5 I'll probably come back in" or along those lines. Not because of resignation but because he likes working on it and wants to make sure it's great.
and let's not forget Sakurai has already said "if they do a smash 5 I'll probably come back in" or along those lines.
Really? Source?
Won't lie, can't find the direct quote but if I recall it was in one of those weekly columns he was doing for awhile.
Also unrelated but for the new thread if we hit it before the Switch Direct should I make a Switch section in advance or wait until the direct is done? (Assuming folks are fine with me still being the OP)
I just don't feel like he particularly enjoys developing the series overall, and that the transition from 64 to Melee and Melee to Brawl had a larger feeling of impact than that of Brawl to Smash 4.
I feel like Melee took 64 & refined it as close as it could be to perfection, if only the characters were balanced better & some bugs were worked out. Brawl just added more stuff, tripping, chaos, excessive visual effects & a "story" mode, but added nothing in terms of gameplay except for final smashes, which are just over-powered character-specific items.
I played Smash 4 a whole lot longer than I played Brawl, & I only played about 100 hours of 4. Smash 4 dialed-back a lot of the crap that Brawl had, but also didn't really add anything except more characters & more stages.
There's really nothing left to do with the series unless you radically redesign some fundamental mechanic. I suggested switching to full-3D in my previous post, only for a few "Disagrees" & no replies explaining why it's a bad idea. Now I'm convinced that it's the perfect way to revitalize the series. Hardcore fans often need to be dragged kicking & screaming into anything resembling real change, often coinciding with their desire to have an advantage over those new to a series.
Source is gamestop so easily could be wrong buuut just for fun

Just so I don't fuck anything up, how do I switch to a 64gb microsd card on a New 3DS? Is it as simple as formatting it to FAT32 and copy-pasting everything over?

I assume you got that SD card for home brew, so that may be a bit tricky. I believe http://3DS.guide has instructions on setting specific formatting parameters for a new SD card.
If not, yeah just format and copy over, worked for me on old 3DS
4 was better than Brawl at least.
4 definitely controls and feels better than brawl.
But I still think as a whole package, Brawl is the better game.
The whole content split and missing modes depending on the version was stupid. I almost wonder if it was worth it to have two versions.

I don't wonder at all. I feel like it was absolutely not worth it. After the Wii U version came out I pretty much never touched the portable version ever again, and I don't like that so much development time and money was spent on the 3DS version when it could have gone to improving the only version that I care about. I know it's kind of selfish to say, and I'm sure that people who don't have a Wii U feel differently, but honestly I'm still pretty upset about the whole thing.

Would be such a perfect game for the switch
It would also be the first decent mobile port of Isaac. I got sick of it ages ago, but that's nice at least.
I'm personally hoping we see Gungeon on it as well, I'd love to have that on the go
That game has too much violence. It makes me feel sick
So it looks like the rumored Mario Kart and Donkey Kong rides were confirmed via Universal filed patents:

[sp]Looks like the Donkey Kong Mine Cart ride will 'jump tracks' too[/sp].

What are some "perfect games for the switch?" Games like Wii Sports were "perfect games for the Wii," utilizing the motion and the controller well. Adventure games (could have) used the gamepad well for the Wii U. What would be use the Switch's features uniquely well?

It's sad too knowing that the 3DS version was Sakurai's intent from the beginning, and the Wii U version was shoehorned in by Nintendo. The Wii U version is technically superior, and yet I actually like the 3DS stage designs more compared to "super death-by-gimmicks bros" on the Wii U.

If anything, the Donkey Kong Mine Cart will probably be like the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts ride (which is a mine cart ride).

Yo, it'd actually be so legit if they did the "screen behind a gap in the scenery to give the illusion of depth using CGI" thing for the Harry Potter hanging coaster ride and had it so that you go into what seems like an open area of a cavern, see Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong carting next to you and then DK gets shocked by something on the tracks and jumps his cart onto a track heading away as you leave that section for a drop. Only to see them again at the end in a different screen through a very large hole in the wall.
That'll be cool. One cool thing they could do is a F-Zero Roller Coaster, kinda like The Incredible Hulk one that launches you at the beginning.

Darn it, now I'm going to be disappointed if that's not how they reskin the Hulk coaster to that since their Marvel license is ending.

When did they announced that the Marvel license is expiring soon?
When did they announced that the Marvel license is expiring soon?
Sorry, it seems that I was wrong about that. My apologies, for some reason I could have sworn Disney's takeover of Marvel was going to result in Universal relinquishing rights, but apparently the contract for Marvel at Universal is set up in a way that Disney can not force the ending of as it is not time-dependent. Whatever I read in the past about the matter was not correct.
