So an implementation of Waithax (slowhax) was released last night. If you have a 3DS on 11.0 or 11.1 (not 11.2, the latest) you now have the ability to do a DSiWare downgrade with a single 3DS to install CFW. You can check out gbatemp or the 3dshacks subreddit for more details. The guide which is essentially the "3ds homebrew bible" hasn't been updated yet but there are other guides which cover utilizing the exploit and then you can just follow Plailect's guide.
Darn it, now I'm going to be disappointed if that's not how they reskin the Hulk coaster to that since their Marvel license is ending.
The deal is infinite for anywhere East of the Mississippi. The only way it would end is if Disney would buy them out, which there has been speculation there has been talks. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the ET ride closes for one of the Nintendo rides.
Medli is too adorable
Pikmin 3 was fantastic. A bit short but still excellent. I'm extremely excited to see what Pikmin 4 will bring.
I kinda felt like it was a step back in some ways. I'm bummed out they capped the rate you can throw pikmin and got rid of the captain upgrades and caves. It's also a bummer that you can't give captains more complex commands. But god damn if it isn't one of the nicest looking Wii u games
Universal Studios Japan just put out concept art and a press statement for Super Nintendo World:
“SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™” is coming to Universal Studios Japan and will be the first such opening in the world*1, featuring globally renowned characters and game worlds from Nintendo. It's just a lot of them are never going to be found without a hint and a small portion of them are kinda pointless like the dodge roll.

Hoping for a scale replica of the SM64 Peach's Castle with as much of the interior as they can fit.
Awesome, now how about some love for F-Zero?
As much as I'd love another F-Zero, I don't really think they'll be taking the franchise anywhere. I mean, what other changes/innovations in gameplay can you add to an F-Zero game besides online multiplayer? Considering all the other F-Zero games after the original SNES game have basically just been graphical updates, it sort of shows that Nintendo themselves haven't really thought about what to add to the series either in the past 2 decades. Not to mention that it would be essentially competing with one of their own games (Mario Kart), and Mario Kart has even taken one of the main features of F-Zero into its gameplay with MK8. The only thing I can think of that might shake things up was Criterion's scrapped work on the series, which was basically just F-Zero meets Burnout.
Kirby's 25th Birthday is this coming year and the waddle dee's at Cappy's Broadcast Station are waiting for a big announcement :o https://twitter.com/Kirby25thJP/status/808143124908257281
I wouldn't say it's impossible to be innovative with a game like F-Zero, just look at Wip3out or Fast Racing Neo. In fact, Fast Racing Neo is a pretty good spiritual successor that a lot of people seemed to forget about.
europe gets pikmin 2 on the eshop this week, lucky bastards

The Piklopedia made the game feel so much more alive, and it's a damn shame it didn't return in 3.
Where did you managed to get one? I'm probably going to wait after Christmas when the hype dies out a bit for it, I have the Famicom Mini anyways.

It lacked the variety of 2 for certain.

Maybe Scanning the 8bit Kirby will allow him to use the Pixel ability outside of liquid space. You could probably play as Kirby, Meta Knight, Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee. Liquid space-based stages would just have them temporarily fused together for some degree of puzzles. Final Boss will probably be Liquid Zero (second form being Crystal Core Zero), and his Ultra Form is Liquid Soul. (except as a 3D being.) probably uses some shapeshifting pixel of some kind to damage Kirby, but you run up to them to use them to dodge full screen KO attacks. They will play up the Pixel qualities as if they're adorable mascots, Qbby will probably be shoehorned into the Kirby series, like Lolo(lo and Lala(la). his doppelganger would probably be called Cuboy. maybe either as a complimentery boss to the 2, or as a surprise character to scan with his amiibo once Goodbye! BoxBoy! comes out.
8-bit Kirby amiibo? Man, don't mess with my emotions.
See, with Mario, 8-bit made sense because it was Mario Maker as well as celebrating the series 30th, but it was the 30th Anniversary 8-bit Link amiibo that solidified 8-bit as a promotional variant/trait. it makes sense to save 8-bit variants for celebrations now. it might be jumping the gun to an extent, but they'll probably want to keep the Amiibo steam going until the next major release they'll rejuvenate interest in it during the Post-Switch release. If Pokemon goes down the same route, they'll probably just generalize it with more dynamic posing, or character-realistic sizes relative to eachover, mostly since Pokemon could have reps from 3~ generations at any one time, possibly more if they're used in spinoffs. Digital Bonuses? maybe getting the 25th anniversery game digitally will let you get a VC copy of Dream Land 3, or 64. depending on the material they'll want to revisit. Robobot had stuff like a AFTERGAME SPOILERS [sp](incomplete) Cloned Dark Swordsman, Cloned Sectonia and even bought Galacta Knight through space-time. also a NOVA (but not THE Nova. again, depends on if SSU's Meta Knightmare is canon or not)[/sp] and before that, in Triple Deluxe had [sp]the Amazing Mirror, Dark Dedede and Meta Knight[/sp]
