That Kirby picture more looks like Drawcia to me :v:
the wii u version of yooka-laylee has been cancelled due to "unforeseen technical issues" and they are looking into releasing it on the switch http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-12-13-yooka-laylee-cancelled-for-wii-u-due-to-unforeseen-technical-issues
Although Yooka Laylee didn't exactly seem technically demanding (although I guess it hasn't really been optimized yet, either, if the Sandbox was anything to go by), I guess it shouldn't surprise me that even Kickstarter-funded projects would rather jump to the more promising Switch than stick to the sinking Wii U.
That really sucks, I know a few people this is gonna upset a lot. The WiiU was the perfect platform for it.
Wouldn't surprise me if the Wii U had issues running the game smoothly. At least it's nice to have a confirmed big-name title for the Switch launch.
Well, the switch needs all the propping up. Hoping the launch titles are explicitly going to actually be at launch this time. Otherwise it's just the same Nintendo mistakes all over again. Though, at least we got GameCube VC and Virtual Console enabled, so at least it will be my handheld for old classics if it completely fails right out of the door. I hope not though and since the marketing department of Nintendo seems to've made certain that they are at least much better represented out there. I hope they've figured out the launch for it with good titles that satisfies the needs of a launch.
I appreciate that now the Switch, assuming there's no Mario game or something of the sort on launch, now has a launch-window classic 3D platformer. I feel like that's a big draw for a Nintendo console out of spirit even if it's on every other platform.
It kinda sucks I was looking at this to be my last Wii u game, but if I can upgrade to the Switch for free that is fine with me.

But hey, at least they're looking to make a Switch port, no problem with that. [editline]13th December 2016[/editline]

Fire Emblem Mobile assets may have been included in a Miitomo update, according to dataminers This is probably the most anyone here has cared about Miitomo in a while.
Does trying to use a hardrive for the wii u not work? I bought two different ones and the Wii U doesn't detect either of them. I remember reading that it does work and I bought a recommended hardrive but no luck

To give you an idea of how poor the flow of electricity is through the Wii U's USB ports . . . . . the Gamecube adapter has two USB plugs because one USB port in the Wii U is too weak to power rumble to 4 GameCube controllers. Yeah . . . . . .
Ahh Alright thank you, I'll look through the Nintendo site and get one that they recommend
Now that you guys mention that, I wonder how the storage is going to work on the Switch, is it pre-installed like the Wii U or you can expand it like the New 3DS?
Now that you guys mention that, I wonder how the storage is going to work on the Switch, is it pre-installed like the Wii U or you can expand it like the New 3DS?
SD is too slow for what they're going for with the Switch so I hope if you can expand it, it's via an internal SSD or something.
I just hope off the bat there's enough data for a handful of games. I was asking about the hardrives for my younger nephew/niece since they're clumsy I worry about them breaking disks and I was only able to get 3 games for them on the internal storage
I worry about them breaking disks

disks
Aaaaaabout that I'm a dumbs, disregard
Aaaaaabout that
? He's talking about the wii u
How is it that the Wii can power a hardrive just fine through one usb but the wiiu can't? Or am I just missing something?
So looks like there's going to be a presentation tomorrow, maybe a new kirby game.
How is it that the Wii can power a hardrive just fine through one usb but the wiiu can't? Or am I just missing something?
the wii u uses lower power USB ports, makes production cheaper
Wow that's funny, though there's 4 usb ports so that's enough for the hard drive and gc adapter. I really wonder if it was cheaper to have 4 usb ports that can do what 2 can do.

As much as younger generations are criticized for various things, particularly cases of weird ass writing in some games nowadays, we certainly need more fresh blood in the console industry.
