Finally watching all the footage with audio since I had to mute it at work. For a minute I thought I had to rebuy a Wii U, but then I realized it's not out until next year and will be on the NX.
I hope that in the new Zelda there's a way to prevent weapon degradation to at least some degree. I like the idea of it, but I feel like once you get the Master Sword you'll pretty much have no reason to use any other weapon, the main reason being the Master Sword likely won't break. If it's unpreventable for regular weapons, I at least hope that there's a 'legendary' version of each weapon-type that won't break, I tend to really like using spears/lances in RPGs and the like so I'd like to be able to use stuff like that in this game a lot without having to worry about 'oh should i save this weapon's uses for when i suddenly decide to have fun with it'.

It might do mediocre damage until end game when you restore it or something. Which means whenever the player gets the master sword they'll have something decent-ish to fall back on but the other weapons will still have priority.
me neither, from the cover it looks like the car isn't even in the game but I just wanted to make clear that all players still move at once
From what I understand, everyone plays their turn at the same time, but separately, not in the same car. That's very different.

So this is what happens when you mix Sins of the Father and the new Zelda trailer together and it works surprisingly well link
Oh, and by the way... Free download. Plus a port called Runbow Pocket confirmed for n3DS with hopes that they can get it running on regular 3DS, as well as Runbow Deluxe and Pocket Deluxe: retail versions with all the DLC on-disc.

Anyone else find the fact that (Robobot spoilers) [sp]you can hear Haltmann's distorted screams whenever you destroy the pillars in the Star Dream heart battle[/sp] a little bit jarring? I've always loved how Kirby games had their dark undertones, but I never expected something like that before. Shit's right up there with 0 and 02 for me.

No one had time to think, everyone's rushing to get to their space.
In Smash Tour it's first come first served, which is dumb. And it's all on the same screen. Mario Party is on 3DS so there could be a strategic aspect to it where you have to plan where you think the opponents will go in the same turn. No rush, just a time limit, and maybe an event when 2 players land on the same space. I really think it has potential to be interesting.

Alright, that might actually work.

So has there been any sort of confirmation yet as to whether the demo has been running in a Wii U or an NX?
My brother's been so disappointed with Skyward Sword that he pretty much lost all interest in the franchise and refuses to give any faith to Breath of the Wild. People who think like this really need to get over themselves. So they made one game that didn't meet your interests or standards. No developer is perfect. Just because one game wasn't good doesn't mean all future titles are inherently shit.

WAIT A FUCKING SECOND WHY DOES THE FINAL BOSS OF THE TRUE ARENA GET A BONUS ATTACK IN AFTER ITS HEALTH HITS ZERO AND WHY DOES IT SUDDENLY DECIDE NOWS A GOOD TIME TO IGNORE I-FRAMES AND WHY DOES IT HIT LIKE A FUCKING TRUCK AD WHY DO I HAVE TO BE THE ONE WHO DIES AT THE VERY LAST SECOND OF A 30+ MINUTE BOSS RUSH TWICE FUCK
So has there been any sort of confirmation yet as to whether the demo has been running in a Wii U or an NX?
Yep WiiU
I've never played any of these games, but they've always looked fun. I'd recommend them all on the 3DS first and foremost, but if you don't have one, the Steam Sale starts tomorrow.

I use Archer because if you hold down, you are immune to attacks. That's how I beat True Arena in Triple Deluxe.
I've never played any of these games, but they've always looked fun. Where should I start should I decide to get into this series.
Honestly, I think Half Genie Hero is going to be a good starting point for anyone. It seems like it really wants to be a lot like the classic games, so that's why I recommend it.
What Copy Ability are you using? I use Archer because if you hold down, you are immune to attacks. That's how I beat True Arena in Triple Deluxe.
It nukes you if you try to hide. Seriously though you kinda deserve to be hit with it if you can't be assed to jump. The boss starts flashing red like 10-15 times, music fades away and it has a big power up aura form around it. It then shoots out one wave of damage at the top of the screen where you can't be hit unless you're trying, one right above you, then one at the bottom and top. You literally get past it by tapping a button once. It's like the zamboni scene in the recent Deadpool movie slow.
Well if you have the Kirby amiibo, the UFO Copy Ability might help then. The problem with that is you can't dodge or block with R.
I got a feeling someone at Nintendo saw this and passed the message on
This video works where Egoraptor's OoT Sequelitis fails, because this video balances complaints with praise, and does it in a polite way. Matthewmatosis criticizes the games, but also genuinely highlights the positive aspects of the series. You can really feel the love he has for Zelda, and the frustration in the diminishing quality of the newer installments. I've heard before that TP was particularly long in it's intro, but I've never heard it better explained than the "38 minutes of cutscenes before he gets his clothes." After watching about 4-5 hours of Breath of The Wild gameplay yesterday, I think that it will seriously address the complaints in Matt's video.
Well if you have the Kirby amiibo, the UFO Copy Ability might help then. The problem with that is you can't dodge or block with R.
You literally just tap the a button. That's all you have to do. You don't need a amiibo to jump over a slow moving low wall. It's literally only there to be a "haha gotcha trying to cheat the arena again" thing and the boss blows up the second it's over. Also amiibos mark your true arena time to show you cheated so :v:

Guys, what if, Link in Breath of Wild [sp]ISN'T Link, but just a random person, just like in MGSV Phantom Pain with Venom Snake, a lot of inspiration seems to have come from MGS.[/sp]
Guys, what if, Link in Breath of Wild [sp]ISN'T Link, but just a random person, just like in MGSV Phantom Pain with Venom Snake, a lot of inspiration seems to have come from MGS.[/sp]
I doubt they'd pull that, [sp]Since the prophecy lady seemed keen on calling him Link. It just doesn't seem like a Nintendo thing to do.[/sp] Also both mine and Xonax's posts contain MGSV spoilers just in case anyone hasn't played the game yet and wants to.
Guys, what if, Link in Breath of Wild [sp]ISN'T Link, but just a random person, just like in MGSV Phantom Pain with Venom Snake, a lot of inspiration seems to have come from MGS.[/sp]
It certainly is Link, given his courage. Whether he's the Goddess' chosen one is another case, however. And I'm sure the rusted Master Sword we see in the logo plays into that.
I wonder why they changed from YouTube to Twitch for their Day 2 coverage.
