And hopefully repair them. I would not like losing a powerful weapon I took the time to power up. Or even make from scratch (implying that crafting gear is a thing).
While Link might be able to find whole sets of plate armor in the wild, someone had to make that set of armor. I'm pretty sure that when towns are discovered, presumably after you leave the great plateau, you'll find blacksmiths who can repair your items, or modify them. Hopefully they'll also sell consumable repair kits so you can fix your items before a boss fight.
Damn I was hoping DQ 7 would come out sooner than Sept.
so the cards in color splash work like stickers confirmed? It's still better to flat out avoid combat?
so the cards in color splash work like stickers confirmed? It's still better to flat out avoid combat?
You pretty much have two layers of consumable resources. Cards, AND paint, and the super items that pretty much one-hit KO bosses is back, so combat is pretty much a bunch of puzzle crap again :v:
so the cards in color splash work like stickers confirmed? It's still better to flat out avoid combat?
Sounds like it yeah. There was one thing with gold paint that looked like it could be a exp bar but they literally never acknowledged what it was filling up. But even with that nothing but Toads, same boring settings, awful writing and Bowser is the big bad once again.
unless they turn it around in the future, there's no real point in caring for the future of the Paper Mario series if this is what they want to do with it to 'eliminate redundancy'
Does anyone know what happened with that new IP announcement?
Why couldn't it just be a deck system? No body likes those but it still sounds favorable to...noncombat. [editline]15th June 2016[/editline]
Does anyone know what happened with that new IP announcement?
wasn't it some 3ds rpg by grezzo?
Ever Oasis was the new IP
Makes me think of Dark Cloud with that combat and world building.
Unpopular opinion here but I dislike the new zelda adopting a bunch of stuff from games like Skyrim. It makes it feel like it's just not Zelda for some reason. I was never a fan of the 3D Zelda games, but this one just really rubs me the wrong way for some strange reason.
Ever Oasis looks extremely cute and cool I'm willing to give it a shot. Sandbox games don't hold my interest very long unless you have a ton of insane movement options (Hulk Ultimate Destruction/Infamous series etc) so feel like I'd be missing a lot as I'd wind up just setting up beacons on where to go and just heading there.

We also have hang gliding too. The return of the hookshot would be really nice too, just saying

This is coming from someone who hasn't really gotten into Zelda, though. I played a bit of Twilight Princess, and a bit of Link Between Worlds. I never got far in either game, though. They just didn't hold my attention long enough. Meanwhile I have 250 hours clocked in Skyrim. Zelda is one of the few Nintendo IPs I just haven't ever been able to get into.
Well that's a depressing thing to wake up to. Rhythm Heaven Megamix is only out in America, and they haven't announced a date for EU/AU yet. Please fucking don't do like Rhythm Heaven Fever where we had to wait 5 months. Ugh.
The original Zelda became famous for being open world, you know? Back in the day, being able to go on a genuine adventure and not ride the rails or be guided through whatever was incredible.

I've gotta say even if Nintendo's E3 this year wasn't super-exciting it was still really good. Zelda and Mario Party both look great, and I know for a fact I'll be getting both of them. Also does anyone know if the new Mario Party is going to have online? I looked around to try and find an answer, but I can't find a definite yes or no.
I'm all for the open world stuff, just not the weapon durability, weapon modifiers, resource gathering, stats and things like that.
Item durability is a huge boner killer.
As much as I hate durability I can kinda see their angle at it. It really does force you to either improvise and think on your feet, making the most of your other items and equipment, or learn to plan in advance before doing shit, combat in the Zelda games has always been a pretty simple affair of just whacking things with your sword til they fall over. I'm willing to give it a chance Edit: I'm willing to bet you'll be able to use the magnet spell to forcibly disarm certain opponents, which is pretty rad, for example, and if all else fails a bomb should knock them flat on their ass and allow you to take their weapon
I love Mother 3 as much as the next guy but I don't think it was on many people's minds this e3 :v:
Maybe not for E3 but I'm sure somebody would've felt similarly burned enough after the Direct a few months ago to do something like this. [editline]f[/editline] I'm sure most people would've given up hope that the rumors were true by the time the Direct was over, but because I love being disappointed I decided to hold out a little bit of hope for E3 before giving up completely. Considering Nintendo's minimalist take on their presentation this year, it ended up actually being one of the few things that kept me interested.
i think my biggest beef with the systems in the new LoZ game is that i can't go around punching bokoblins to death with my bare hands, gotta have a weapon

Unless I heard wrong or look at the screen wrong, outfits had no sparkles and never broke despite some of the Treehouse players taking heavy damage. Weapons and Shields had three icons: Sparkle (New), Non-Sparkle (Used) and Blinking Red (Damaged) but you never see sparkles on the outifts, even after they acquired the blue tunic and the snow outift. I don't think they can get damaged.
Unpopular opinion here but I dislike the new zelda adopting a bunch of stuff from games like Skyrim. It was bound to not please everyone and make some others skeptical about it, especially such a drastic turn. For me, it's a fresh new take on something that really was getting stale and didn't perform really well in the last two 3D games. Think of it like the original back in 1986. Changed the video game formula of linear gameplay to full blow openness (even if Hydlide kinda did it first just not as well). And even back then, they changed the formula drastically with Zelda II. But then, fans didn't know better so they just rolled with it. Now it's a lot different, after 5 3D games following very similar molds. Tho, seeing all the changes and references to older Zeldas in BotW, I was almost expecting them to show us EXP points somewhere. This entry will most likely make the series lose some fans but will definitely gain new ones in the process. I'm certainly looking forward to it, especially for the whole organic storytelling part. I loved it in Metroid Prime and Dark Souls, I'm going to enjoy finding out what happened in that new ruined world of Hyrule.
Was rewatching Projared's LoZ video, and there is a good amount of frame drops. Really curious about the resolution and fps on the Wii U now that I noticed it. In some footage it looks like it's running at 60fps and in others it looks like 30fps even if the video on YouTube is 60fps.
Far as I can tell the game is 30 FPS, but it does seem to have framerate drops at times.
My old boss is going to try and play it tomorrow. He said he'll guesstimate the fps and resolution.

I'll check some footage to make sure though.
