I like how they keep avoiding thousand year door. I wonder why that is
Because they can't put GameCube games on the eShop because ~reasons~
I want a TTYD remake running on color shit's engine
Paper Jam Bros was the last good paper mario game, it seems.
Super Paper Mario is out on the eShop today.
Well looks like I have a way to finish the game now. I lost my disk half way through the game when I was playing it on the Wii.
I believe my save is on the Wii U too, since i transferred my Wii data to it.
What would be the best metroid 2 guide? The game is such a maze it's nightmare to navigate trough without a map.

I had a map opened up from the Metroid Database.

it might be because you'd need the gamecube adapter to have 100% 1:1 controls
[editline]16th June 2016[/editline]
either that or get wii's classic controller or classic controller pro.
Isn't there some japanese third part gamecube game on the japanese eshop? Like just the one? So we know it's possible.

It's fun but the papercraft battles don't come even near the quality and awesomness of those giant luigi dream battles. Holy shit they were so fucking good.
I liked both Papercraft and Giant Luigi fights, I think silly gimmick fights are fine as long as they're regulated to rare events.

Gyro controls were ass
Only hard requirement I'm setting down for the M+L series is that they come up with a new dance for the bros each game. It's Paper Jams true failing.
E: Fuck my automerge nooo

A high up exec has a huge cache of unopened TTYD copies and he won't rerelease it until he sells every last fucking one.

so glad they're not placing themselves in the dumb console wars.
It may not be about specs to Nintendo. But tell that to the third parties and the average consumer.
Nintendo is in such an awkward situation when it comes to third party support and it drives me nuts

despite not caring much for making a powerful console, the current rumors floating around are that NX will be somewhere between ps4k and scorpio.
You blame NoJ and their desired to mostly market to the one country/market they dominate in, Japan.

I can't see that happening. They'll go for cheap and power efficient which is something they most likely won't be able to achieve by being between the Neo and Scorpio.

What about the Wii? A bunch of Third parties released games for it, and it was incredibly underpowered compared to the 360 and ps3.
The Wii was a one time thing. They tried to replicate it with the Wii U and obviously failed. The NX is being targeted to once again grab that Wii audience, and we'll have wait until next year to see how that pans out.

We don't know if the NX is being targeted to get the Wii Audience, Nintendo haven't really been a major player when it comes to Specs, they've been like that since the SNES I guess, Genesis was more powerful.
If I am wrong, then the N64 is a better example, same with the Gamecube.
If it is more powerful than the PS4 and runs on X86, I could see it possibly still having a place in the market. PowerPC killed a lot of the viability of ports to the Wii U.
As a Nintendo fan though, they're treading very dangerously into an awkward spot with what they are stating with the NX, though. If it is equal in power or weaker than a PS4, they're basically wasting their time with a DoA system just because whoever would have bought it for 3rd party support would already own an Xbox One or PS4 for the same reasoning.

Ubisoft spilled the beans on it this week and I got what they said mostly confirmed from former coworkers who are still working with Nintendo. Of course they're all QA and may not have the full picture but they said they've heard the same thing regarding the NX and its potential marketing.

iirc the SNES was better than the Genesis except in CPU clock
Yeah, Genesis had a faster CPU but that was about it. Its sound and video cards were notably worse.
For the few multiplats that existed back in those days, the SNES version was always better tech-wise.
reminder: shin'en said that wii u's """underpowered""" cpu is actually capable of loading in 4k textures much faster than ps4 and xbox one.

Source? It's a surprice really
Just completed Metroid Fusion first time on Nintendo Hardware, with clear time 1:46 and 42%.
This game is just too much fun, though I have become pretty good at it, only the Yakuza gave me trouble. I also only saved on the sector 4 when I stopped for few hours, but I came back to it to win it.
I'm considering buying Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward from the eShop. Do I need to play Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors to fully enjoy/understand the game?

i guess i missed the bit about 8k textures too
