if they went the cartridge route, it IS a console, so I would imagine that any carts would be more akin to an N64 than a Vita or 3DS .. which would be a bit of a money sink since discs are much more cost-efficient to produce nowadays
Exactly what I was trying to say, it would be bugger because it's not a small portable device, and apparently I'm trying to make it big for no reason.
Don't be ridiculous, the NX will use cassette tapes. And later, they will release an addon that uses 3.5" floppy disks.
Finally, Nintendo games for PC systems since Mario Teaches Typing, once again!

http://nintendoeverything.com/details-from-nintendos-76th-annual-general-meeting-of-shareholders/ Nothing of interest.
Q4. About last year’s leadership change. Last July, Iwata-san passed away and in September, President Kimishima succeeded him. There was a problem with not having a president for 2 months. I want to know why that was. What will happen to [Iwata] Asks? Many people are demanding action games as smartphone applications, so will you release a physical controller? Kimishima: In regards to [Iwata] Asks, I don’t come from a game dev. background, so if I ask, it wouldn’t be interesting. Former president Iwata entered the hospital before passing away and directed Takeda, Miyamoto, and I at that point. However, he didn’t expect to pass away so soon, so we needed time to decide upon the following organization and direction. Miyamoto: Thank you for the last question. About Iwata Asks, even he said, “It’s gotten in a rut.” For now, we want to continue with Morimoto. We will do lots of new things.
Nintendo's shareholders are so fucking stupid
It seems Iwata knew his time was up; he had been admitted to the hospital and was in the process of making plans with the others about the company's future. Apparently he died before he expected to and thus didn't finish, which is why Nintendo's been sort of stumbling around lately. Also, Nintendo's marketing budget in recent years is a fraction of it was during the Wii peak. And those dipthongs wonder why the Wii U didn't sell well...
"Man it sucks that our company didn't have a CEO for two months. Why is management so unorganized?? also r u going to make a mobile controller" Can these people kindly sell their stakes for $0.01 each so someone more passionate can fill their spots.
Because if it's a home console, why would you want a game that can be lost easily? It makes sense to have SD card sized games for portable devices, because you're constrained by the size of the console itself and weight. Besides, the 3DS and Vita don't use SD cards for their games. They use a propriety storage medium to avoid easy copying.
I think they will come in a full-size case (or at least a 3ds sized case but probably not due to general consumer perception needing to remain). so tbh the ownness would and should be on the consumer to put things back in their fucking case so you don't lose them. [editline]29th June 2016[/editline] but let's be real they're going to be on bluray discs. MAYBE BD-66
If you were unsure about Splatoon there's an phone port that China has been so gracious to put together. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9DLUxW9.png[/t] Here's a video of it.
Super Mario RPG is hitting the Wii U VC tomorrow.
Super Mario RPG is hitting the Wii U VC tomorrow.
Nearly a year after Europe and Japan got it on their VCs. :v:
Super Mario RPG is hitting the Wii U VC tomorrow.
About time. I got it for free on the Wii VC at the beginning of the Wii U life cycle, and now I can get it discounted. [editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
Nintendo's shareholders are so fucking stupid
No doubt about that, this was the first question they asked:
Q1. I’ve held shares for 20 years. I want to protest the board of directors being all-male. Remember half of the market is female. Also, I don’t use a PC, and I’d like the opinions of those kinds of shareholders to be taken into account. A1. Kimishima: We don’t have any females [on the board]. For foreigners, Reggie is an operating officer. There are many female employees, and their opinions are applied in product development. It’s important that we continue taking their opinions in dev.
It is literally demanding some of the board to step down for diversity reasons.
Monster Hunter Generations demo went live an hour ago if anyone's wondering.
A1. Kimishima: We don’t have any females [on the board]. For foreigners, Reggie is an operating officer.
I had to re-read this because I thought he was calling Reggie a girl
I thought the HWL Awakenings DLC came out today? Is it not out yet or do I have to mess about with the game some more to get it to force download?
I thought the HWL Awakenings DLC came out today? So the C stick in Majora's Mask 3DS has stopped working all of a sudden. It's fine everywhere else except for in that game. I can't turn it on in game, because the game won't detect the C stick. Anyone had this problem before? I have New 3DS XL MM edition.
Yeah, it's so unfair that Europe got it so much earlier.
Yeah, it's also apparently fair to compare the original cartridge release with how the NA Wii U and 3DS VC is trash compared to Europe's and Japan's and always gets the former's scraps months later while barely ever discounting them or using them as promo items. Pretty much the sole exception was Donkey Kong 64, but we didn't even get the DKC trilogy or DKL trilogy until months after Europe, either. Do please tell me a good excuse for why a game that was released on the Wii VC here years ago already took over 6 months after it's European Wii U release when they didn't even have to translate anything.
EU gets shafted with game releases all the time anyways. I play all my games in english, but apparently there has to be a 3 month gap between physical releases even though we're getting the exact same game as NA.
After two days of playing, and cruel, cruel time spent in Ridley's lair without a screw attack, I finally beat the original NES Metroid trough VC Zero Mission. You know, aside from the absolutely horrible 30 health start, it's a pretty nice game, though Tourian is probably the easiest location in the game, as Metroids are the only enemies with generous drops.
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/07/new_my_nintendo_rewards_are_now_available_in_north_america These new rewards are pretty bad. It costs 100 gold coins to get 30% off Fire Emblem Awakening, which is still $40 because Nintendo rarely does price drops. And you can't even stack it with other discounts.

I think there was a ton of time to get it honestly, I had it in the first week of My Nintendo launching and I got the required amount like 3-4 times over by the time they finally took it down. [editline]2nd July 2016[/editline] Like I actively stopped using miitomo and I still have 700 something coins I don't know what to do with

Guess with Miitomo it would have been easier, yeah
Oh yeah Miitomo was a thing. It seemed to die off SUPER quick once the charm faded away.
I deleted Miitomo on the same day I installed it
Oh yeah Miitomo was a thing. It seemed to die off SUPER quick once the charm faded away.
Died because there was no real use for it outside well, miitomo.
I used it for awhile to get coins but got bored of doing that and tossed it. Much like the game it's based off there's just no substance
I never even installed miitomo because it requires a Twitter or Facebook, one of which I never even set up and the other I deleted a few years back.
