I'm so glad I pointed it out as a Gamergate reference, just to see the shitstorm ensue
Remember during E3 2015 when Nintendo said Pikmin 4 was close to completion? Well, now it’s 2016. What’s the deal with Pikmin? According to Shigeru Miyamoto, progress on Pikmin 4 continues but it hasn’t been Nintendo’s top priority in recent months. “Yes, you are right, and we’re working on [Pikmin 4],” Miyamoto told Gamerant at this year’s E3. “So, you know, when we’re in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit that into that list, but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now.”
Source
I wasn't even aware there was going to be a Pikmin 4.
I wasn't even aware there was going to be a Pikmin 4.
The last one ended with a spaceship crashing onto the planet again.
I wouldn't mind if it was a NX launch title
I wouldn't mind if it was a NX launch title
Man, Imagine. NX Launching with Zelda BotW and Pikmin 4 both? That's a strong start
The last one ended with a spaceship crashing onto the planet again.
That wasn't a space ship. 100% the game and look at the final days description. Louie abandoned ship and fell back to the planet. It's him falling
Man, Imagine. NX Launching with Zelda BotW and Pikmin 4 both? That's a strong start
Pikmin 4 wouldn't stand a chance against Zelda though. They'd stagger the releases most likely.
I wanted to get two more Amiibo for Smah, but holy shit, are they expensive now. I got a Ganondorf and Link back in March for a total of $10, but that was with the upcoming Twilight princess HD. Now the cheapest Amiibo (that'd I'd want to use) are $22. Damn that shit is expensive now. I've also been playing a lot of smash recently. The game goes between being a lot of fun, and anger inducing. Thanks Nintendo.
Daisy deserves more love. She's loud and aggressive, yet still feminine. Kids being exposed to a character like that is healthy.
you fetishized her and said it was good for kids all in one go! cool!
A second set of cars, which will probably be out sometime in August. I don't know how these will work outside of the US but these will have their own dump bin in Walmarts. They will priced around roughly a dollar.
wario car isn't a cadillac 0/10
What's up with the real-life car Mario toys? I smell a Need for Speed, it reminds me of a Mario 64 bloopers episode where Mario and Bowser have a race in actual cars… and it was played in NFS Carbon.
you fetishized her and said it was good for kids all in one go! cool!
No??? the point of that post was that Daisy is athletic and aggressive, but also feminine, which is a good precedent to set. It helps break down the idea of "you're either a girly girl or a tomboy, there's no middle ground". Young impressionable kids need characters like that so they don't grow up and have some kind of identity crisis.

In all seriousness, I really like the idea. Some people see Daisy as annoying, but I agree that she's a good mix of two extremes. Giving her a larger role in a game or two, or at least using her more in marketing, would be neat.

Definitely a more interesting character than Giggles the Monotony from Space, though.
I think Rosalina shits all over Daisy because Daisy is literally nothing. Mario Party 3 was the last time she had anything remotely unique about her and it's just her slapping Bowser. Like the instruction booklets and whatever can say what they want but none of it is conveyed in the games where it actually matters. Rosalina is whatever but at least there's a character there. Just my 2 cents
I wished there will be also be mario kart themed hot wheels cars, not just choosing a non mario car and then choose a color that matches the character's palette and then slap a super mario artwork on the toy car.
Definitely a more interesting character than Giggles the Monotony from Space, though.
Get it right. It's "Magical Space Cyclops".

Definitely a more interesting character than Giggles the Monotony from Space, though.
Rosalina had a lot going for her in SMG1. Giving her a good bit of depth for a series whose main titles rarely bothered with that kind of storytelling. Then every game after that was like fuck that shit and basically made her another nice piece of ass to share the Peach character model base with. Now the only thing unique about her is the fact some games recognize shes like 6'4" like MK8 did and adjusts her model to fit.
Rosalina really needs to show up in a Mario and Luigi game to get an injection of personality or something. [editline]9th July 2016[/editline] The same could be said for most of the characters really.
I don't see how that works, Mario has been in plenty of Mario&Luigi games, yet he still has little to no real personality.
That's because Mario doesn't talk and is deliberately not meant to have much of a personality. Conpare to Luigi who is dripping with personality even when he can't talk, particularly in Paper Mario. Then look at Bowser and such. I would be interested to see what the other characters could bring to the table in an RPG setting.
I don't see how that works, Mario has been in plenty of Mario&Luigi games, yet he still has little to no real personality.
Mario's basically the straight man to Luigi and the rest of the game world's comedy. His personality is basically bland and serious so that the rest of the antics appear funnier, especially when paired with Luigi's cowardice.

Wait Rosalina hasn't been in a M&L game yet? I thought they were trying to put her in everything they could.
Wait Rosalina hasn't been in a M&L game yet? I thought they were trying to put her in everything they could.
As far as I know in the mario and luigi games they try to put mostly stuff that was invented just for those games. Bean kingdom, popple, those drill things from dream team, brick people, etc. The exception was paper jam bros, which had almost exclusively things from other, non mario and luigi games. Like the koopalings. And nabbit.
Wait Rosalina hasn't been in a M&L game yet? I thought they were trying to put her in everything they could.
They're giving her the Daisy treatment. They're shoving her into everything that doesn't require writing. Meanwhile Daisy herself has taken Rosalina's old role of just disappearing for a while. I think the only reason she got so popular lately is that kids still mistake her for Elsa.
Do you want to see the embodiment of suffering? [t]http://i.imgur.com/1lq9Vka.jpg[/t] I'll let you figure this out.
You're a mad man, Tentacles.
