The gamma metroids and their fucking impossible hitboxes and randomized movements are also a fucking pain in the ass. They just hug the ground and never let you hit them unless you glitch through their body so you can fire missiles at their tiny fucking little hitbox and hope to god they don't just dodge out of the way magically.
They don't hug the ground if you just jump. You can't stand still against Metroids, you gotta be acrobatic. Gammas are easier than most if you can draw out their lightning attack, that basically gives you a free hit. Are you playing with a controller?
Nintendo Land $20 LOL
I'd gladly pay $20 for a new copy of Nintendo Land if I didn't get it with my WiiU. It's a good party game.
If I remember correctly, he retconned the Prime trilogy to make his shitty story make sense in canon. This is the first I'm hearing of Other M being retconned, though I certainly hope it's true. Can we just finally get a Metroid game that takes place AFTER Fusion? Maybe it could be like Metroid 2 where you have to go to the new home planet of the X Parasite and wipe them all out, and could implement the fact that Samus has Metroid DNA in her to play with new ways for her to obtain power ups and such.
It wasn't that he necessarily "retconned" the Prime games. He said that he didn't have them in mind when developing Other M, and considers them "side stories." Which, despite being vastly superior games to Other M, are technically side stories as they're more of a self contained story that isn't too relevant to the overarching plot of the Metroid series.
Nintendo Land $20 LOL
nice, will definitely cop luigi's mansion
Why is the first Luigi's Mansion still not on Wii U Why are most NGC games not on Wii U
Why is the first Luigi's Mansion still not on Wii U Why are most NGC games not on Wii U
Too busy not making the GC adapter work with VC games for 0 reason.
Isn't there a third party GC game on the japanese eshop though, proving that it is possible? I swear that's a thing, I know I've read that before but I suppose I never found out if it was actually true or not.
And I would also love them to push past Fusion and get more crazy with the Power Suit design and powerups since it's now more organic.
I always wanted to see them make an "intermediate mode" between the Power and Zero Suits. Like - more slender than the Power Suit and helmetless (maybe an eyepiece for visor functionality?), but still has some armor compared to just the Zero Suit alone and the arm cannon is still active (but can partially retract to reveal a metal glove so that she can use both hands.)

It's sad to see how the Virtual Console is still pretty laughable. - Still no Gamecube games - N64 games are missing - Gamecube controllers are still not compatible - GBA and DS games only on WiiU (And i'm pretty damn sure the New 3DS could handle those perfectly) - No cross-buy between WiiU and 3DS - GAMES STILL TIED TO CONSOLES INSTEAD OF BEING ACCOUNT BASED IN FREAKING 2016 ...and the list might goes on Online interaction is probably the very first thing i want Nintendo to greatly improve on. But hey that's not something we'll see until 30 more years.
i'd kill for a cheap legal way to play paper mario ttyd in 2016
So, Megaman?
Ehh... ish? The whole "arm cannon and powered armor" thing is already shared between both of them. If you're talking about the retractable thing, I would say this would be more realistic in nature since there's an actual human underneath. Like - you can already see Samus's arm fill the whole length of the cannon through the X-Ray Visor, this would just retract the outer housing at the end to show a metal glove underneath. Mega Man has the cannon and hand transform into each other because he's a robot (or in X's case, the cannon's always fully-formed on his forearm and his hand just pops out of the barrel when he needs it.)
Yea the Virtual Console isn't that great. I missed out on a lot of great Gamecube games and have considered buying one because Nintendo won't put them on the Virtual Console :(
Ive thought about using homebrew a couple times but I always get scared that i'd mess up my Wii U somehow and brick it.
- GBA and DS games only on WiiU (And i'm pretty damn sure the New 3DS could handle those perfectly)
Oh yeah, the 3DS (both New and Old) can in fact handle those perfectly, as shown both when Nintendo gave out free downloadable GBA games exclusively for 3DS Ambassadors, and when they initially put Warioware Touched as a My Nintendo award. The main problem is with how the games are being run, as the examples that I listed run on the 3DS through the systems DS mode. This means that while those games are being run natively instead of through emulation, this also means that Nintendo can't implement suspend points (a.k.a. save states), and since they have been including this feature into almost all Virtual Console games (the exception being Pokémon Generation 1) since the 3DS (and even in the upcoming NES Mini), they probably just see it as a waste of time if they can't include that feature. Everything else you said, however, I 100% agree with.
Now I can finally get Tomodachi Life, 20 dollars is a good price.
Walmart and Target will be having a New 3DS bundle for $150. [t]http://nintendoeverything.com/wp-content/uploads/0809_Announcement_Graphic_1-01.jpg[/t]

So, definitely can.
I keep wanting to homebrew my 3DS but don't want to fuck anything up. Plus I don't think I can on my current firmware anyway.
I keep wanting to homebrew my 3DS but don't want to fuck anything up. Plus I don't think I can on my current firmware anyway.
You can downgrade on 11.0 iirc
I keep wanting to homebrew my 3DS but don't want to fuck anything up. Plus I don't think I can on my current firmware anyway.
If you just want emulators and romhacks/HANS, you dont need to mess with firmware.
If you just want emulators and romhacks/HANS, you dont need to mess with firmware.
Thats all I really want. But I also want to make custom themes.
Custom themes are ok to. You'll just need to use browserhax to install homebrew. Although once you do I recommend you also install a secondary explot like OoTHax, or StickterStarHax. Here's some more info
Okay, Hard mode on AM2R isn't fun anymore, I just fought my first Zeta and because they can randomly swat missiles out of the air, I just don't have enough ammunition to kill the damned thing. This wouldn't be so bad if hard mode also didn't cut the value of missile tanks in half, and charge shots can't damage metroids (which begs the question what the hell is the point of the charge beam) This is really chapping my ass

Holy god damn dog shit I think I oughta put some coal between my teeth, the pressure from the grinding could make diamonds. Have you ever heard a PS3 controller groan from being squeezed too hard? It sounds strangely like leather rubbing against leather. Still, you're doing better than me if you're able to deplete your missile supply before you die. Between switching between missile types to try to preserve super missiles for guaranteed, non-swattable hits, trying desperately to avoid this Geigerian nightmare that hits so hard it makes truck accidents seem like pillow fights, and wiping off the profuse amounts of sweat that keeps dripping into my eyes, I can't keep a level head. :hammered: I haven't had this much trouble since I took on Running Hell in Cave Story.
This would be made infinitely more tolerable if charge shots could hurt Metroids. And the worst part is I don't think there's a chance of such a feature being patched in due to the DMCA. Edit: Also Zetas are actually very easy to trick into a pattern, if you back up against a wall, then spiderball up into the top corner, the zeta will ALWAYS backhop, spew acid, then walk away.

Nice, Henry Hatsworth is a blast. I still need to get a copy for myself. I got both Superstar Saga and Wario Land 4 boxed for like 20 bucks yesterday though so can't complain about anything for the rest of the month v:v:v
