The ending of that game always felt a little silly to me considering all the high-concept stuff everyone was talking about up to that point. "Hi, I'm an expert-level hacker." "Hey, have you heard about the Ship of Theseus thought dilemma?" "So here we have these different isotopes of ice..." "DEAR GOD A [sp]BRAIN AGE PUZZLE[/sp] AAAAAAAAAAA"

To be fair, it does make complete sense in context. [sp]It is supposed to be a puzzle for a little girl after all.[/sp]

Ehhh... Unless they've spruced it up with something like a gyroscopic control option (which I seriously doubt they did) it isn't that interesting in my eyes.

I'd love to replay it regardless.

Super Mario Adventures is imo the best portrayal of the personalities of the Mario characters. It fits their usually jolly behavior but simultaneously actually gives the characters some interesting quirks and moments. It's also got a fairly unique artstyle that, despite being a manga, has heavy western influences in design.

You ever think NX isn't even going to be [i]as[/i] powerful as the Wii U? Like - it would be understandable if the portable form isn't, but if the power boost from its console mode isn't that big, I could almost see a power relationship like between the PS3 and Vita(TV) where sure - the latter is on newer architecture - but it's still gotta make compromises in terms of sheer power for its smaller form factor to happen and the two end up about roughly equal (Wii U/PS3 having more raw compute and NX/Vita having more sophisticated tech.) One positive would mean Wii U wouldn't be totally obsolete and its playerbase not necessarily left behind completely, and NX would indeed be a "third pillar" to fill the gap between Wii U and 3DS, but on the other hand it would also mean putting Nintendo further behind in the horsepower race. And of course, many would see the Wii U still being Nintendo's strongest system as a [i]major[/i] mistake.

I'm pretty sure whatever Nintendo is doing with the NX. They fully intend on replacing the Wii U with it. Why else would they have [B]NOTHING[/B] planned for the console other than Zelda? This is either gonna be a rousing success or another wet fart of a console.

Were those rumors of a Mario and Pokemon title being launch games ever proven? Or even have ground to be true? At the same time, they are announcing something in the near future so might as well just wait.

They can release new Amiibo-containing bundles of Fates, but they couldn't bother to sell again a blatantly understocked limited edition containing all three versions of Fates, leaving it basically to a few hundred scalpers. A+

I don't think many people doubted it was going to be a bad game. It's just not the Metroid game we want or need. It's another good game with the Metroid name slapped on it for no reason and as a result we expect things from that name. I'm at least happy it's not a bust.

I guess if there's moderate success it'll be time to make this the new standard in Metroid like how Sticker Star is the new standard in Paper Mario :suicide:

Looks like a repetitive and bland shooter to me. And the final bosses are [sp]a mind-controlled, giant Samus.. stuck in Spiderball form, meaning your final boss fight is literally a deadly Blast Ball, followed by an easy-to-beat not-Mother Brain computer and a survival sequence after that to shoehorn in the usual exploding base at the end.[/sp] Even the music is a bunch of repetitive atmospheric orchestra that occasionally references Prime songs.

It looks alright. Not something I'd buy at full price. A Prime Hunters sequel would've been awesome though.

The game is even worse than I thought it would be overall.
