I could detect some of Chibi-Robo's bile with the Pikmin game, didn't really seem that interesting considering how much Olimar seems like an inaction hero and having the Pikmin to do most of the work. i mean sure puzzle solving and strategy is Pikmin's main schtick but it doesn't really translate well to 2D where it almost seems kinda Lemmings-like. wonder if its developed by the same studio or something, guess it could be something to tide nintendo over until Pikmin 4, it's not the first time there was a spinoff since those e-Reader cards. Probably wouldn't mind some more backport games though, Paper Mario: TTYD and Wario Land: Shake It could be pretty nice on the 3DS, latter would probably be more creative in content than Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D's infamous reputation on being handed out like candy despite not actually adding much newer content. like a few more levels is pretty great, but mechanically doing stuff like blowing dandylions holds it back. depending on how they go about it, Wario Land could still have gorgeous hand drawn frames without it being too taxing on the system. Final thoughts: I'd probably get 8-Bit Link and Toon Zelda (adorable!), kinda hoping that Tank Troopers will pick up more steam, could be the next Splatoon if there's an engaging singleplayer mode, customizable tanks and online. [sp]think Rana Ran and Aroma will get fanart soon?[/sp]
Most of these games shown look pretty good and I am open to try out that Pikmin 3DS game because it has a pretty interesting touch screen gimmick, but you can kind of easily tell that this direct screams "Yes, we're abandoning the Wii U". Between focusing on Hyrule Warriors Legends, the Yoshi's Wooly World and Super Mario Maker ports and what looks like an improved version of Mario Tennis Ultra Smash packed into a 5-pack of subgames, I wouldn't be surprised if the next direct included a port of Rainbow Curse to the 3DS.
i hope the soccer will be fun in sports superstars. strikers and strikers charged are some of my favorite mario sports games
Honestly I'm annoyed with all these sidescrollers that are coming out. It is not my genre of interest and they all look sub par and underwhelming. The only one im interested in is the ever oasis. That is looking great.
Can I just comment about how 80s this new trailer for the NES Mini is?
Do y'all think they plan on making the Nintendo Classic Mini line into a series of systems where each one will be shipped with a number of favorite games, and then more become available on an eShop-type deal that you can connect to with the system?
http://www.mariowiki.com/Gallery:Mario_Sports_Superstars
Why do Daisy and Peach get breathable summer clothes while Mario and Luigi sweat it out in their rugged overalls and long sleeves? Won't someone think of the Italians?!

when mario gets serious, someone's getting hammered
Local Italian Fucking Hates Balls
Is Mario's getting mad now because of the bad Nintendo games?
Local Italian Fucking Hates Balls
#BlameTakumi no more, now we have #BlameMario
is there anywhere i can actually buy the NES mini in australia? nowhere seems to be taking more orders.
Why are they releasing a gimped version of Mario Maker? Why remove online and the mystery mushroom?
Because they know it'll sell well anyways.
Kinda sucks seeing that the Wii U is effectively dead. Oh well. I think I got my money's worth out of it, but it has so much wasted potential. The gamepad is a great gimmick that a few games used wonderfully and even just using it as a map, menu, or off-screen mode still makes it a worthwhile controller to use. Certain games (like Star Fox) just forced it in a way that wasn't intuitive or fun, as the gamepad is more of an addition to gameplay in that genre rather than a focus like in touch-related games. The off screen play is a godsend for a lazy fuck like me that likes to play video games laying down, and it's okay for watching streaming stuff too. I feel that if I didn't own a Wii U that I'd have been more pumped for the direct as it was 3DS focused, but some games like Ever Oasis, Dragon Quest, and Mario Sports looked great.
Why is new sports Mario channeling American box Art Kirby Making cute characters look angry 'because it sells better' is just so weird.
Well it's mostly only on the sports game that mario has a serious face.
I just assume it's part of Mario's identity just to have some sort of consistancy between series. Mario probably looks badass in Spinoffs because they want to let people know that the events of those games has no canon to the main series, whereas the main games has more of a casual/happy whimsical look to it. Paper Mario kinda has its own thing either showing off exploration or some of the cast, but only due to the artstyle. and the Mario & Luigi series just swings from ingame badasses/badass gamebox to ingame competent punching bags/contrasting protagonists. With that said, the Mario & Luigi boxes eventually stagnated into Mario and Attentive Luigi from Bowser's Inside Story onwards. now Mario's Badassness just gives wayside to giving Luigi personality since in M&L, Mario is mute for the most part. though even Mario shown some anger in Kart's art from 7 onwards, i assume that would be in part due to Kart just picking up speed from Wii onwards that they just had to do something when more fantastical elements are stacked up. having a sporadic powerup that lets you jump is slightly overpowered and Luckbased, but having live weapons like Piranha plants, boomerangs and multi-use fireballs just brings up more high contact combat. Antigrav also adds badassness. [sp]Maybe Mario is just competitive like Goku[/sp]
Why is new sports Mario channeling American box Art Kirby Making cute characters look angry 'because it sells better' is just so weird.
They've been doing this for a while though. Maybe not as consistently as Kirby but it's technically been a thing since Brawl and Mario Strikers.

So when is Bayonetta 2 3DS going to be announced?
Received my new faceplates, and they look p damn good. [t]https://i.sli.mg/b31LGM.png[/t]
The New Leaf stuff has me pretty hype. Though I think it's coming out in November which is such a ways off I think I've played New leaf almost every single day for the past 2 years, it's become a bedtime ritual for me to fire it up and check out my town for a few minutes. New content is gonna be such a breath of fresh air I can't wait for that mini AC themed direct though, I wanna know just what's going on here [t]https://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/7l8ZpneLkAHsJ85bJ8yE-iRqGM4=/0x7:400x232/1280x720/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/50163055/ACNL2.0.0.jpg[/t] An injecting of a ton of Splatoon content into AC would be so killer

The games never were quite my style, I have to admit. Really amazing seeing a years old game get updates like this though [t]https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzROI8b0k93-6kT[/t]
It's fun knowing that the AC devs made Splatoon. One of the villager leaving quotes is something among the lines of "I hear a turf war is going on- I wanna go sling turf!" Wonder how many of them were giggling at each other while they wrote that.
Which one of the free Streetpass games is better? I'm leaning towards picking up the slot car one, but the stock market one looks fun too :Tc

What do people here think of the whole tn vs ips 3ds screens? I just recently got the Sml3d N3ds and it's very nice but I honestly wonder if it's worth going out and hunting down the different screen type. The differences seem big but it could just be the photos.

Also I'm pretty sure it's almost impossible to find an IPS screen N3DS.
I found on reddit that there's a way by looking a the serial numbers.
