Haven't gotten to play further or anything (probably not going to) but current thoughts in general is that Color Splash proves that you don't need unique partners or npcs to be funny or good, the problem is that TTYD (and to a way lesser extent 1) had such good partners that it still feels like a step down anyway. And let's be real, PM1 Buddies outside Bow had little to no personality or character to them at all. They usually had a single line the entire game and that's about it. Parakarry, Goombario, Bombette.... whole lotta nothing going on. I think only Sushi and Bow honestly had any kind of development or lines. It's one reason I think TTYD is leagues better about characters.
Paper Mario Color Splash for surprise hit of the year?
Most Surprisingly Not-Awful Award goes to Color Splash It had a uphill battle to fight and managed to scrape away enough that it could call itself successful and wouldn't technically be lying.

The original was super charming and fun, but TTYD was a step up in every way in my opinion.
It's not surprising, though I've always loved the original Paper Mario. Bow had to be the best partner by far. When you do look at the little comparisons like Bombette and Admiral Bobbery.. TTYD was more fleshed out, but that doesn't mean the simplicity of the first game was bad!
Paper Mario will always have a space in my heart for being my first console rpg, but TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time- and hell, SPM was pretty good too.
Good Smile Company has announced new action figures of Twilight Princess Link and Zelda in the figma line: [thumb]http://mikatan.goodsmile.info/en/wp-content/uploads/-000//1/o0520055313754057925.jpg[/thumb] http://mikatan.goodsmile.info/en/2016/09/27/figma-link-zelda-twilight-princess-ver-the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess/ I've been avoiding spending money on figures lately, but I might have to make an exception...
That Link looks good. Something seems off with Zelda though, I'm not sure what.
That Link looks good. Something seems off with Zelda though, I'm not sure what.
she's got odd eyes compared to actual artwork and apparently huge breasts
I personally liked the original Paper Mario better even though TTYD's story, characters and mechanics are more interesting, but here's why I think I feel that way: Rather than throwing the Mario cast into a new world like TTYD and SPM did (not that there is anything wrong with that; after all, we got locales like Isle Delfino, the Bean Bean Kingdom and Yoshi's Island from Mario travelling), it tried to flesh out the Mushroom Kingdom more and did an excellent job of showing us more to the areas nearby. Super Mario RPG also did this to a degree, but because of rights issues those locations will almost certainly not be visited again. I'd like to see a future RPG-esque Paper Mario also try fleshing out the Mushroom Kingdom and Dark Land more. Like, show us the hustle and bustle of Mushroom City, Neo Bowser City and Bowser's Infantry or a valley with wild chain chomps or something else. For a series that has so many games, they've shown fairly little of what is actually going on in the land considering most games either have you play in a different land or have you rush through the MK for one world without sightseeing, and considering how technologically advanced and populated Bowser's domain is, they've barely shown what goes on but moderately tease that the tech in Dark Land exceeds that of the Mushroom Kingdom, especially in terms of warfare. Like, there has never been really a strong factory theme to any of the levels, despite the potential. (The NSMBWii hack "Newer Super Mario Bros Wii" created a few Bowser Factory levels, though)

I'll order Zelda but that DX edition of Link is really tempting.
Pretty sure it was a snarky remark about how the 3DS version has less enemies on screen at on time, making it more difficult to rack up KOs.
I wasn't being snarky. I'm legitimately having trouble getting it in legends but got it relatively easy on the wii-u.
not poseable, painted on lighting, 0/10
poseability isn't everything you know. you sacrifice quality for poseability
not poseable, painted on lighting, 0/10
Not poseable is what makes statues so great. And the paint on lighting is great too, gives it a nice effect.
poseability isn't everything you know. you sacrifice quality for poseability
So what you mean is that super powermaster optimus prime is the best optimus?
poseability isn't everything you know. you sacrifice quality for poseability
pshh yeah... http://www.sideshowtoy.com/
hot toys also cost a small home loan [editline]27th September 2016[/editline] that link figure is about $150, average hot toys is $300+ neither of those include shipping and any other taxes on the flipside those figmas are maybe 40-50 each

Only odd thing is that the DX version doesn't come with the Ordon Shield to match the Sword. [editline]27th September 2016[/editline]
on the flipside those figmas are maybe 40-50 each
It's going to be $56 for Zelda and $60 for the DX Version of Link

I would have been glad to have it, but i need to save it for Metroid Prime 3 Samus. that's gonna look so goooooood
Ordered the Zelda one. I have also her Wind Waker Nendo waiting for next month. I kinda want the Link one as well but i already own many of him already.
Now that I realized, I'm disappointed that there's no Ganondorf figure. It'll be cool to see his Twilight Princess version with the Sage Sword and all. It would have been nice if he had an attack that could hit multiple people on the same turn you use it that didn't cost half your FP.
I appreciated how tanky he was though. 40 hp ultra rank meant the old man could take a beating and still dish out some heavy damage.
I don't recall Twilight Princess Zelda's chest being so defined.
Probably has to do with the figma basic chest sculpts. Can't say tho since the only female figma I own is Lucina.

I only got the Kill la Kill figma aside from Lucina but they're meant to be ridiculously big. Look at Samus though: [t]http://images.goodsmile.info/cgm/images/product/20160609/5730/39504/large/ee66dc00391e092afb8fb39f7e67b17a.jpg[/t] Roughly the same size if you ask me.
