10 hours into the game and it really does feel like those 8/9 years of working on the Souls games plus Bloodborne has really refined Dark Souls 3 into what it is today and it really shows and feels like the top of the pack, i really wish the localised versions where released now, it feels downright criminal that you have that three week delay.
And there really is a nice selection of weapons and other thingys that are obtainable at the early starting phase. More than i expected and some finds are really early and surprising compaired to the past games. I can easily see myself losing track of time playing this just with the original Dark Souls.
Im not really helping anyone, arent i? Just tell me to shut up if you must.

I will ask [sp]That fellow from Firelink who gives you those cracked red eye orbs, have you found his gear yet? I'd love to know what its called/where to get it since I think it looks fabulous. Although if its through a major story element I'd rather not know.[/sp]
Was hunting for some dudes to stream snipe on Twitch to kill some time when I noticed this gem in someone's chat.

Looks like I'm gaining a reputation. :v:
I like how he calls you "a bit of a massive dick".
Boy make up your mind.
Soo for those who already beat the game once how long and what style of play-through did you run? Also, is the quality>quantity statement true?

Eh, stream sniping is lame though (especially when it overstays its welcome), regardless of how much of a crybaby the guy's being about it.
ds3 estus question
[sp]why does my estus automatically replenish? i dont think i have any special item[/sp]
Are you talking in context for summons/ invasions? 'Cuz if so, it might be the same reason for how it worked in the stress test. [sp]Basically if you killed a phantom it rewards you with Estus.[/sp]

no. [sp]it just randomly happens for me. im playing on xbox one so it's offline. i'll just be out exploring and every once in a while i'll just recover an estus flask and eventually i'm full again[/sp]
No, it randomly happens throughout gameplay for me where I'd get +1 for no reason.
^ yes that is what is happening to me. but consistently
No, it randomly happens throughout gameplay for me where I'd get +1 for no reason.
in dark souls 1 whenever someone lights (or was it kindled) a bonfire near online you you would get an extra flask even though you are not in their world

i am playing offline
That's weird. Maybe you get more after killing a certain number of enemies?
maybe estus is just dark soul's rendition of jarate because your character nor the npcs never seem to have any usable bathrooms
[editline]25th March 2016[/editline]
but that's just a GAME THEORY
Those asking a specific question about estus in DS3, [sp]you get an extra estus charge when you defeat certain larger or more powerful enemies[/sp] from what I've heard.

i've gotten it right in the middle of killing a regular enemy

sometimes even doing nothing at all

Oh. Shit.
Well I have no idea then I guess what I heard was totally off base :v:

There is no kindling bonfires it uses the ds2 system of upgrading your flasks

at least that makes no death / no bonfire runs less shitty to do
of/c with ds2's dumbass flood of healing items that's different.

I wish somebody would stalk me like that. It's usually hilarious.
Closest I've gotten was that there was this one dude who kept getting summoned to help me with Paarl in Bloodborne NG+. His greeting-emotions kept getting more and more desperate every time.
And this also happened the other way when we finally won. He kept summoning me, and only me. It was pretty great. We were both Paarl-experts by the end of it. :v:
I wish somebody would stalk me like that. It's usually hilarious.
I'd stalk you bro, but sadly we'd probably just see each other porting all over the damn place.
covenant updates
[sp]sunlight: you can now invade as a sunbro using red eye orbs to get medallions
mound makers: summoned phantoms have the freedom to do anything, to either help or hinder you, a wildcard basically. any entity is attackable for them
[/sp]
I'm torn between these two, [sp]For the sunbros is it you invade as a red, get a kill, get a medal? Because in DS1 with cheat engine one of my favorite things to do was to lock my player state in "Summoned Phantom", invade someone's world, turn out to be a sunbro, run off together and kill the boss. I'd love to have invading as sunbros again.[/sp]
But with the other, [sp]Is it just phantoms you bring into your world? Or does it work when you're a phantom going into others. Do you invade like an invader with a Seed of the Tree of Giants? Regardless I do feel a strong urge to be fucking fabulous as a purple phantom come the 12th.[/sp]
anybody in ds3 found a greatsword yet and want to tell me in spoiler tags where it's at? i just want to be guts

[sp]I would assume you can find his gear but i've not found this person yet. If i find him i'll let you know as spoiler free as possible.[/sp]
You know what's gonna be awful? DSPgaming is also playing DS3 currently. This is gonna be a trainwreck.

The comments are so toxic that it's makeing me ill.
It's weird but DS3 feels so long and yet i haven't finished it, maybe it's just me taking my time but so far i'm enjoying it.
How the hell are ya'll playing it already?

Japanese Copies
Yeah, i wasnt expecting Phil to get the game so early, must had done the same method as i did. I dont even know if it works today, it might be on reddit still.
Really want to invade him. I was hoping the time spent on the xbox version would allow for me making the invasion more interesting but looks like i need to prepare sharpish and hope the servers switch on for once.
Although he did make me search everywhere just to find the weapon he has. Which i now have though so i'll give him some credit for making me curious. Reguardless, i will only watch once i've cleared a significant portion ahead of him. Same with anyone, really.
Its a good thing he takes his sweet ass time doing shit. Thats a fair bit of breathing space.
