I'm on a 460m and i7 2nd gen, I could max out SotFS, but the new requirements are nutso compared to my rig
Aye, a 460m isn't going to cut it :(
Cheapest bet if you really want to play is to buy a Ps4.
I got a Radeon HD 6970M 2GB with 16GB RAM. I'm not gonna make it either. Was getting it for the PS4 anyway.
Is DS3 set in a totally new land or are we back at Lordran again?
Just did like 1 hour of invasions and I have no idea why they made it so people can summon 3 other phantoms so it was mostly 1v4s, invaders can also hit each other now so when everyone clumps up you either end up killing everyone or nobody, not sure about that..

As with any Dark Souls game ever, there's a little ambiguity.
I'll leave that for Vaati to decide. In the meantime...

[sp]Best not to say anything until April 12. I'm holding my tongue[/sp].

Why did you spoiler tag that?
I gotta know. Will my gtx 750 with everything else at the recommended specs be able to play at least comfortably?
I have a side character, one ugly son of a bitch, pretty much where my main is right now in 1/4th the time.
I hope the xbox servers are turned on soon so i can invade with him. If all works out, it should be worth it.
If you guys do have any questions, i'll try and awnser them as vague and spoiler free as possible.

Comfortably, yes. At a full 60 frames, probably not.

That's fine. I'm too used to dark souls 1's 30fps madness. :v

You should be able to do better than 30 for the most part. Hopefully above 45. You never know!

For lack of my better judgment, spoilers beware. You have been warned:
[sp]This game is extremely off the walls with DS1 references, straight down locations and boss inspirations.[/sp]
[sp]You can even find somebody with a small fluffy tail.[/sp]

I wish I hadn't read that.

What I like about Dark Souls 3's item descriptions is that they seem DS1-tier in quality. There's not a whole lot of Dark Souls 2's tactic of "Lol everyone forgot where this came from."

[sp]Is it so bad that there's more of that than original stuff? That's my main concern right now.[/sp]

[sp]Nah its a pretty even mix of new stuff vs old stuff, and I've been enjoying it so far. There's a lot of throwbacks but its not enough to detract from the game i'd say.[/sp]

Loads and loads of original stuff, from what I can see.
OK so I just got summoned by a guy and he was wearing (armour spoiler)[sp]Elite knight set. I must have missed it, where is it?[/sp]

HOLY SHIT this area is literally (area spoilers)[sp]Tower of Latria 2.0. Except the guys with the lamps are sooo much worse[/sp]
I thought the general idea with system requirements for Dark Souls is that it's possible to play the game below the minimum requirements? At least someone here said that they could play DS2 maxed at steady 60 while not meeting the minimum.

Dark Souls 2 was a game that could probably have run on a PS2. Dark souls 3 is much more visually advanced, and so will require a better rig than Souls 2 for sure.
I wonder how well my rig can run it with a 780Ti
praying to god that my 960m can run it, dont think i have it in me to wait until i get back to my home pc, i honestly doubt i'll be able to run it but if worst comes to worst i'll just refund it.
Here's a little treat to get your poor minds off of the wait for DS3.

OK I found (armour spoiler) [sp]Alva's armour. In Latria 2.0, when you get to the lowest level with at least 6 glowing brand-wielding assholes roaming around, make an immediate left and it should be on a body.[/sp] If you've found the (major item spoilers)[sp]Dragon torso stone[/sp]then you've gone too far.
Proof - (Armour spoilers)
Well shit.
Equipment Spoiler - [sp]Welp, I've found the Grass Crest Shield, that fucker won't leave my back now.[/sp]
Also, i found something else that i'm going to keep quiet. But i am very happy to see.
For anyone who's playing right now - hub area spoilers[sp]If you've purchased the 20,000 soul key and entered the tower yet, you might have missed the fact you can drop onto a roof from the bridge exiting the spiral staircase. There's a very familiar friend nearby
Additionally, there's a ring in a chest and an estus shard nearby. Keep on the lookout[/sp]
I don't think I'll be able to handle another seventeen days of this. I need another game to play, something to get my mind off Dark Souls.
Armor Spoiler - I think i'm in love the [sp]Fallen Knight Set[/sp].
-snip about something, i really want you guys to find out yourself.-
This game, this fucking game just continues to hit the right notes.
Oh man, vague third lord spoilers: [sp]Coolest fucking demon's souls reference ever. Won't be any more specific than that but man, the chills[/sp]
