Goddammit. Can confirm that Dark Souls 3 has censored names.
Let's hope they don't ban players for modding that out. I'm 26, not 12.

its pretty ironic that a game for adults would do that
I understand censoring names like "Nigger lover" and "I fuck children" but ds2 got really retarded by censoring literally everything under the sun including legitimate names
when k***ht T**mas is a "BAD NAME" then you know you're babying your players

Shit's literally worse than Club Penguin.
just name yourself after fruit for example i am apricots
I knew it. Never trust a skelly.
This sucks, given my family name is skelly :/ were not all bad
if you get a message saying 'invaded by dark spirit apples' you are not going to be expecting zantar the death bringer with his axe bigger than his body it grants you perfect element of surprise
ironic thing about the censor too

At least "Tybalt of Astora" isn't censored. My character is safe!

It's funny that almost all the names they pick for their own fucking NPCs would be censored if a player tried using them. [sp]**ly K***ght **drick[/sp] is such BS.
fumed Raime
guess my work is done here
oh yeah and I didn't beat cool ranch smelty demon but tbh fuck that
I still think the Fextralife wiki is garbage and people need to stop using it.

How is it bad and what else should we use

Overall layout is sloppily made, looks and runs like shit on mobile, managed by people who don't follow the simplest rules (i.e. talking in netural, no opinions or personal experiences, etc.), and articles often over-saturated with needless unimportant shit. Not to mention they're way more prone to getting their articles vandalized.
Personally the Wikidot versions are way more useful and straight to the point than any of Fextralife's wikis. They may get updated slower due to less people managing them, however, but at least it's managed by people who know what they're doing.
Oh okay. I've heard people say never to use fextra but they never said WHY
Use all wikis available like I do for the most accurate info
Doing some ludwig co-op.
I'm level 100 and not on ng+ and gonna be doing this for a while, if anyone is in that range and wants to kick the dicks outta ludwig, I'm here
[editline]28th March 2016[/editline]
It's funny, fighting Ludwig was possibly one of the most frustrating things I've ever done in souls
And now he's my go to co-op boss
theres so much info about the game that you have to check many sources no matter what anyways
Does anyone have that shark giant wiki page image?
Haha, I got summoned and the beckoner was nowhere to be seen.
Turns out he was fighting an invader. Even with his npc partner my beckoner was getting beat pretty hard, and then one of those huge enemies joined in. While the invader stepbacked to heal I popper out and fought him one and one and killed him in two hits. Was kinda sad
Thanks for the echos though

Just in time.
Of all the characters I've played, swordsmen with fists of steel is the most enjoyable

if you play a spell caster as your first run tbh you're playing casual souls. It definitely makes the game a bit too lenient.
when you all unlock DS3, 100% trust me on this, doing a melee character as your first is FAR more enjoyable and engaging. It also gives you the most solid build you can get first hand.
being able to just sit behind and cast spells, even with less health you take way less risks as well as have way less extra chances. Doing solid damage and taking solid hits makes the game way better.
I definitely want to see them punish spell casters more through NPC's that can parry spells back at them.
I'm always doing strength builds as my first character in Souls games. For once I wanna' try rolling a cleric for my first time in DS3. I don't even plan to actually use any offensive miracles, I'm still going full melee. I just want them sweet sweet buffs. :v:
Miracles are for people who aspire to be something they never will be, but try to be anyways

grossly glorious

everyone else is just a poser and a wanna-be
Started DS1 proper this time.
Hit undead burg and so far got a claymore drop from a random undead and the halberd. Question is which would be best for the Gargoyles on the roof?
I know Solaire is a massive help and that I need to plow the Gargoyles in the ass but everywhere I look says halberd despite my experience using the claymore making me lean towards that.

Use what you're comfortable with. Halberd is good but many agree that claymore is one of the top tier weapons in the game so if you're comfortable with it, stick with it.
IM ACTUALLT FUCKING PISSED FUCKING GOD DAMNIT FUCKING DARK SYDE PHIL IS PLAYING THE FUCKING GAME AND IM NOT??? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUSSSS
You're not worth it. FromSoft thinks nothing of you, only for your money.
Save your money for GOTY edition

Stuck with Claymore and it worked stupidly well but I also had some gold pine resin left thank christ.
I think my issue the last time I played was not leveling up properly. I just stuck to endurance/strength as primary stats and dex/vit as secondary concerns and it worked pretty well.
Smithboxes, are they worth it?

Yeah. I usually hold off on getting them until I defeat the boss of Anor Londo
