Just a quick question for anyone who has played the game. Is the [sp]Red Eye Orb and Darkwraith gear back?[/sp]
Yes and it is significantly easier to get the [sp]Red Eye Orb[/sp] than it has ever been.
But for reals, save the DLC for last. You won't be 2-shotting anything; you'll be the one getting 2-shot.
So pretty much play everything normally up to the last boss, then try out the DLC?
Awesome, though I assume [sp]The R2 attack for it will no longer be a humanity drain, hopefully it's some sort of health drain, because it was cool to use instead of a riposte after parrying.[/sp]
[sp]It doesnt seem to have much use as a weapon, its R2 is now on the shield and it does the same animation, though I'm not sure what it actually steals because I've never landed it[/sp]
I do have one DS3 question. Anyone found any secrets on the level of the kung fu man from BB [sp] that steals you to a much higher lvl area early in the game if you get killed by it [/sp]
Keep it up man, and anyone else waiting. I wish I could have kept myself away until it came out in english let alone glorious 60fps but I knew I was going to spoil myself. It's worth the wait
I'll try man but it's gonna be hard
I can't beat Ornstein and Smough, I just can't, it's impossible for me to do it, there's too many dick moves for me to beat it.
I have fallen to despair.

Yeah, that's what I reccomend. All of the DLCs basic enemies deal alot of damage.

The worst are the people who equip the entire havel set, sans(haha get it) the dragontooth

Shit really? [sp]The Barehand R2 parry was useful for me as it was really easy to bait out parry's considering you weren't actually using a shield.[/sp]

Kindle your humanity, and venture to the large hall before the boss chamber. Go around the back, down the stairs past the silver knight greatbowman. Climb down the stairs and you should see a shining signature with a brilliant aura. If you miss it, you must be blind.

Did the Undyne at least have a spear?
An Undyne build is being planned at some point, i got a few ideas what to use.
Someone re-assure me I won't have anymore bullshit situations after taking on the first capra demon. If it wasn't for the absurd close-quarters I would find this fair but it's not in the slightest. Fucking Havel was easier than this and statistically he's stronger.

I just completed that fight, found it easiest to summon Solaire and have him kill Ornstein while I was distracting Smough. Also good to bring a lightning resistant shield or armour set with you to survive ascended Smough's thunderous butt slams.

not even a spear
not even a spear
What trash.
Could someone remind me what the current ds2 PvP meta is sl/sm/area wise in sotfs?

Soul spear
Greater soul spear
Crystal soul spear
Ng+7 and as many copies of soul spear as possible
Man, the removal of Bonfire Ascetic is really shitty, or at least a way to respawn bosses (higher difficulty or not), mainly because I fucking hate having to summon npcs for bosses to progress their quests, I loved doing that on NG in DS2, then using an ascetic for NG+ difficulty on my own, to still have a go at the boss the "intended" way.

Welcome to your first real test as a Dark Souls player.
On my first playthrough, nothing could have prepared me for it. I was playing on my TV. My little brother, who had introduced me to the game, had his friends over. I struggled in futility for what must've been ten hours in total - They all fell asleep on the couch after watching me wipe again and again and again. But every death made me more cautious, and I got better. The victory at the end was the sweetest thing - because I didn't take the easy path and kill Ornstein first - I killed Smough and fought Ornstein after. Without the help of any summons.
I had a pretty interesting encounter for Iron Keep
I got summoned and saw a sunlight phantom and immediately thought "here comes a gank"
but they had another red phantom and gestured for me to get into position for a 2v2 fight
first time I've had something like that happen
Seems like you stumbled into a fight club.
No, I've been into a lot of fight clubs
this was me and a red phantom vs a sunbro and the host
usually I just get summoned for 1v1 duels

it wasn't exactly that amazing thinking about it but even if just a little bit, switching it up was pretty cool of them

Don't you dare go hollow, friend.

My char is Elliot did you fight me? I was a sun phantom

I remember that the host was named Sam and had the full dragon set
GTX 465 is the minimum according to steam, and that thing is mega ancient. I have a 660, which is also old, but not THAT old.
Those spec requirements are outdated, they've been changed on FROM's official site. I don't know why Steam hasn't bothered to update the changes yet.
Anybody using a 970 that wants to tell me how it's running?
Anybody using a 970 that wants to tell me how it's running?
Nobody on FP has it for PC yet. The PC version is only available to about a hundred streamers and games journalists worldwide.
