Its not a big surprise that you have people, new players in particular constantly banging their head against the wall trying to get through, thats the main obstacle before something clicks in their head and they proceed to get gud. They might just need that gentle push in the right direction by co-oping through the wall like Bill and Ben and showing them how its done, while trying to make them do most of the work.
Then they end up getting Rakishi Lightning bombed for the one shot kill and the whole song and dance begins again.
They'll eventually get into that phase. Although Manus is a bit of a knob and cheesing him is slightly justifiable. Although i only fought him once and the only boss i haven't actually killed would be Kala. And i've murdered the Ancient Dragon at least twice. But it does sound obvious that the due is certainly no crazy german bastard UrbanOrb. (I do hope he tries DkS3, although his trust for Fromsoft is tarnished because of DkS2. I think the game is perfect for him)
I might work on a co-op build for Dark Souls 3 soon enough, come to think about it. I just need to find the right boss and place to establish them. Maybe on PS4 side, i think my Xbox subscription ends on the release.

Besides jolly cooperation is super fun, it gives some fresh mood and have the chance to find cool people.
What's this nonsense about "True" Dark Souls players? I prefer to play without summons because I feel like it sort of gimps the difficulty of the game and is much more satisfying to go it alone, but that's just me. Dark Souls has a ton of different types of players, and not one of them is better than the other. It's a game, it's about having fun. If taking out a boss on even footing does it for you, great! If making him look like a dumbass as you stunlock him with 2 phantoms gives you your willies, fine! If you just like playing dress-up, then you're just as much of a "true" dark souls player as anyone else. The only exception is cheating, obviously.
Basically play how you want, just have fun cause it's a great series of games and don't let anyone tell you you've got a tiny dick because of how you play.

Yes, looked up scaling(I forgot), says it's double D [sp]you can start with it[/sp] and the moveset is what you'd expect, I think [sp]it has a shield piercing sword art.[/sp]

If they remove the ability to buff it then atleast let it be Charcoal Pine Resined or something for that cosplay flair.
It was always a pretty strong weapon though, granted it now has a really good moveset because most movesets are really good but still.

You guys say that but if someone outside this little group hears the word "co-op" and "souls" in the same context they get an aneurysm.
Though I'll admit after I got my all achievements in both games I just started soft-cheating nonstop. I upgraded a weapon legitimately to +8 or something and I wanted to switch to something else without chunkthresholding myself, so I brought that up to +8 with CE.
There's something nice about Co-oping a boss or area, it's a different feeling of badass when you or a buddy fight through an area like nothing or you and a stranger become fireforged friends. It's also really good helping someone who's been having trouble. That's why I love the Sunlight Covenant
Getting a message from someone you just helped out saying "Thanks" really warms your heart.
I'll try and stick with watching ClamTaco but that's going to be a test in itself due to some of the things i have difficulty to stand like facecams and just how he acts. But i'm just being fussy at this point.

For some reason, no, Dark Souls 2 is not cloud supported on Steam while Dark Souls 1 is. You can try finding your saves locally but no data is uploaded.
Beat Dark Souls II. Now to wait for III...
A very nice player helped me get to the Old Hero boss in Demon's Souls. He died during the boss fight, but I beat the boss and rated him S for helping me. Thank you, kind stranger, whoever you are!

Apparently he butchered/overhyped the movie Green Inferno, which is a spiritual successor to Cannibal Holocaust, that's where I heard of him and saw the hate reputation come from at least.
Animation doesn't look too bad. I just hope the witches aren't Firekeeper annoying.
How are folks already playing DSIII? I'm quite jelly.

I dunno, it feels like they're totally missing the point of the feeling and presentation of Dark Souls. It's not supposed to be an action-packed hack and slash thriller, which is what this is looking like to be. No one in the media business seems to get this.
