Hmm, the Xbox English version of the game just updated. I wonder if online's enabled now. Well, it's updated to 1.01 but the online servers seem down still. In other news, only now is Bandai-Namco asking streamers to not release any new content until April 11th. Yeah, good job guys.
You mean people play Dark Souls with a mouse?
I played DS1/2 with a mouse..
Oh sweet jesus, some of these bosses i've fought and had some trouble with in 1.00 are going to be nightmarish in 1.01. Very noticable damage increase.
The PC 'day one' patch they've been promising had better damn well be more than just the 1.01 patch that the consoles got on release. I expect them to take steps to fix the FPS bottlenecks in the [sp]swamp[/sp] and other areas, performance there according to PC gameplay right now is kind of unacceptable. Far as I can tell from watching Oroboro's gameplay, the framerate drops from around 60 to sub-20 there. And he's running a GTX 980.
has anyone shown ds3 with the steam controller?
I'm expecting 12th April to have full notable fixes and other stuff Because for what i've seen [sp] NG+ gets nothing new like enemy placement, invasion etc but better ring etc[/sp] That's dissapointing.
There's also drivers like most major releases get.
Pretty sure that if the game runs okay in other areas but has massive framerate drops in specific areas, that's more an optimization than driver issue.
Okay, I'm getting 0 nodes in Dark Souls and I'm starting to freak out. It was working fine before I got to the Undead Parish, too. Dark Souls 2 is working perfectly, I don't get it.
[sp] I loved SOTFS [/sp]
I bought the base game full price plus all the DLC. Then shortly after it's all released, they say they're releasing the game and my version isn't multiplayer compatible with the new one. Also it's full price and my $100 investment provides... what was it? A $10 discount on the new game? Fuck that bullshit.

who thought it was a good idea to buff the alonne knights so that they do a quarter of my fucking hp in one hit??
I played DS1/2 with a mouse..
Completed DS1 with a mouse? you're a bigger man than I. DS2 with a mouse is at least possible for me I don't wanna think about fighting artorias with a mouse [editline]31st March 2016[/editline]
Hmm, the Xbox English version of the game just updated.
who thought it was a good idea to buff the alonne knights so that they do a quarter of my fucking hp in one hit??
After doing Iron Keep with SL1, the alonne knights mean nothing. They have the same initial attacks so you can easily parry them, and take them out one by one.

Got him after about 30 tries. Full dex uchi +15 with full darkwraith armor and WGR.

Thinking of doing a "survival horror" run of DS1, where i only use makeshift weapons like the club, hand axe, pick axe etc, or "shitty" stuff like broken straight sword, broken round shield, straight sword hilt or plank shield, and a light crossbow to serve as a handgun equivalent. Only basic upgrades, no magic and only wear light/cloth armor, basically just be some random peasant just trying to stay alive. Minimal levelling up, only enough to two hand the more requiring weapons if necessary and maybe resistance just for shits and giggles. Thinking of giving my character the Leon Kennedy haircut to complete the experience :v: This'll probably be hard as fuck and i might give up, but it sounds too fun to not at least try.

BKHalberd and green crest shield, block and attack and hope to god you beat the boss before the game crashed.
i beat ds1 on kb+m without DSMfix because it conflicted with my only keyboard it's playable it just feels like sandpaper on my wrist and/or balls

Really dude? You couldn't spoiler tag the video? Now I know that the armor heavily featured in the trailers is in the game. Just gonna cancel my preorder now. Thanks alot, penisdick.

I fucked up. I thought I was reinforcing my flasks but it turns out I used the thing for souls. I really should have explored firelink shrine more, I didn't know there were more people and that it was more than just a way to get to undead burg. Well I killed the gargoyles and rang the bell, where now? I went to darkroot earlier and got my ass kicked by a black knight but I should be able to do more damage now that I have the winged spear, zweihander, gargoyle tail axe, and drake sword
the great club is one of the best weapons in the game so much for horror
Yeah I was thinking of leaving out the big clubs and just allow the Deprived starter club and maybe the reinforced club.
I should be able to do more damage now that I have the winged spear, zweihander, gargoyle tail axe, and drake sword
:why: Just kidding, ditch that shit though, it'll get crap fast. Upgrade the weapon you're liking the most and level either strength/dex depending on what it scales best with (or just level both). You can kick the black knight off the ledge if you want an easy kill (there's a good shield nearby) but you run the risk of missing a decent item from him (it's rare and might not drop at all though.) So where to next? There's a boss in darkroot basin that's relatively difficult (watch your footing) but doesn't progress the game. Next stop for the second bell is blighttown, but you'll need to go through both lower undead burg and the depths to get there (go to the hellkite dragon bridge and go through the door on the right just before the bridge. You need the Basement key from the Parish to unlock it). If you're ever confused where to go next, always check the description menu for your keys [del]There's no 'reinforcing' flasks[/del] woops, yes there is. Sorry, tired By going human, consuming a humanity and then kindling a bonfire, you'll be able to get 10 when you rest at it (and more in the future once you have a certain item, but don't worry about that right now) Here's a tip - once you get to the depths, there'll be a guy in a barrel in a room who calls to you for help when you enter it. Roll through the barrel to free him and he'll turn up at firelink to be your very own pyromancy trainer. Pyro is especially good in DS1 since it involves no stat investing (no need to level int or faith) so essentially you feed it souls and get better fire magics. It's a win for someone new to the game
By reinforcing Flasks, I think he means Firekeeper Souls. You should hand those to the Fire Keeper under Firelink Shrine so your Estus heals more.
By reinforcing Flasks, I think he means Firekeeper Souls. I didn't notice there was a lower level that leads to new londo or that there was a graveyard that leads to the catacombs until today. Right now the drake sword is the best thing I have since the base damage is 200 and none of my other weapons even come close.
