Looks like the "Abyss Watchers" took notes. Reminds me of the Abyss Greatsword.
I would be really happy if I get to frontflip slam enemies for a 3rd time.
Sounds like [sp]"Aldritch, Saint of the Deep" and "Tharon's Undead Legion"[/sp]for the other two
[sp]i thought it was the undead legion dudes but Tharon makes more sense[/sp]
But it also filled that house with a bunch of heide knights and a dragon

And then sent the Pursuer and some ogres to punch a few holes in the drywall.
Right, but now my maid service won't disappear after 15 days, I can actually drive down Lost Bastille boulevard, and the library has some new books to read.
I just want to be able to get all of the boss items this time around too. The fuck is the point of having old dragonslayer/pursuer and giving us his weapon and shield but not his armor and Orstein's armor was even in the last fucking game
guys I'm going to use this constant blizzarding to my advantage and deep-freeze myself so I can wake up in two months see you then
I'd really like to replay Dark Souls as a strenght character just in order to wear Ornstein's armor set and wield his signature spear It's most likely a case of Stockholm syndrome
That opening cinematic gave me chills, holy shit. I also like how it starts with [sp]...Yes indeed. Like it takes place right after the opening cinematic of Dark Souls I.[/sp] Sigh. Oh well. Hype train has no breaks. :hypeisreal:
Man, we must be super, super far in the future from DS1. [sp]The world is ash from all the rekindling undertaken by the untold legion of former Lords of Cinder.[/sp]
It's always confused me why a Giant would be a Lord of Cinder when all giants were already exterminated. The Giant Lord was the "last giant", was it not?
And from the ash-covered tomb he rises again. Using the power of humanity he regains his former self. Muscles gain form and ripple along his entire body as he tests the motion range of his hands, pulling his fingers into a fist. He is reborn, LORD LIFT prepares for his next quest.
I'd really like to replay Dark Souls as a strenght character just in order to wear Ornstein's armor set and wield his signature spear It's most likely a case of Stockholm syndrome
It scales with Dex though, you just need 24 Str to wield it but i'm pretty sure you can use 12 strength and just 2 hand it all the time. [editline]8th February 2016[/editline] honestly what you really want for it is a dex + faith hybrid kinda build. [editline]8th February 2016[/editline] My bad you need 16 str
I'm glad that, even after watching that Cinematic, I still have no idea what the fuck is going on in DS3, or anything about the game really

How long until release, and will there be a beta? I've been watching Berserk and hear the Souls games were partially inspired by it, and have been itching to get back in the series.
I think I'm starting to get it now for the trilogy. [sp]Every time someone rekindles the first flame, the world restarts with new key figures, but the ashes from the fire never leave. After so many people rekindled the flame, the ash was too much, and covered the world. The sacrifices were achievers with powerful souls from the previous Lords, much like us in Dark Souls, but built kingdoms under their power like Vendrick. After that, the flame started to fade again, but now there's so much ash that the world is dying. At the end of the world, the Lords of Cinder being the more recent sacrifices, were resurrected by an unknown power to keep the flame from being rekindled. It's less about the Lords, and more about how are we gonna end the trilogy; Rekindle the flame/cycle and possibly doom us all, or let it die, and see what happens?[/sp] [sp]Unkindled? So they're hollows that are born from this cycle while the undead are born from the Rekindling of the First Flame?[/sp] Also here's the YT video of the intro:
watching Berserk
hol up. there's a Berserk anime?
According to the opening cinematic [sp] we won't be seeing previous Lords of Cinder that we already know, such as Vendrick and Gwyn. Quite a shame, but on the other hand it's nice that they're not building the game on old things like "HEY, REMEMBER DARK SOULS 1/2? HAHA PRAISE THE SUN ;)))", makes it feel more standalone. Doesn't mean I won't like a nod to those characters either, though.[/sp]
hol up. there's a Berserk anime?
There's one from the 90s I think, covers the same stuff as the movies though.
I still think it's pretty gross that a possible first boss in DS2 is just Ornstein, they really rode DS lore way too hard and made a lot of the story feel worthless
I still think it's pretty gross that a possible first boss in DS2 is just Ornstein, they really rode DS lore way too hard and made a lot of the story feel worthless
He's a big dude in armor with a big weapon, he fits right into DS2.
So bottom guy is a deserter from the legion guys then? Same armor, minus helmet.
So bottom guy is a deserter from the legion guys then? Same armor, minus helmet.
That armor looks DELICIOUS
So bottom guy is a deserter from the legion guys then? Same armor, minus helmet.
A descendant straying from the path perhaps?
I think my favorite part about DS3 will be the fact that there's no hollow/soul form, so I can do stuff whilst not being in ember form without being super ugly or constantly glowing :v: [editline]8th February 2016[/editline] also minus the helmet that legion armor looks super rad, neat to see a return of the chain link hood too. [editline]8th February 2016[/editline] I'll put money on those guys being a gank squad boss fight :v:
My initial satisfaction about leaving that fucking poisonous pit and entering a new area with a charming new design, the Iron Keep, soon vanished as I kept being gang-banged by armored ninjas and pinned to the ground by unseen javelin bowmen
Are you man enough to take down some dudes in armor
I'm gonna wait until the game comes out to watch the cinematic for ultimate hypegasm. Love watching cinematics the first time I load a game up.

That was the lowest point in Scholar for me. Slog through it, summon some help if you really need it, and then enjoy the rest of the game. [sp]Except Black Gulch.[/sp]
