[sp]this looks a lot like flames being linked. definitely some flame linking going on here[/sp]
***dark souls 3 ending spoiler***

[sp]seriously one of the lamest endings ever
when i reach the end of one of the greatest game trilogies i expect something huge. i don't even care if it doesn't tie up loose ends, i just want something cinematic that is also longer than 30 seconds. what i got was the exact same ending from previous games, but even lamer. a huge majority of players are gonna get the same ending and it's such a shitty reward to end a trilogy.[/sp]
[sp]I don't disagree with you. Part of me is happy that I did the most boring and straightforward ending first (it's the last game in the series, why would you link the flame when you can end it all?) so I can complete the more interesting endings on PC. It did end pretty abruptly though haha[/sp]
Oh my god i'm so bad at pvp, i just want to curl up like an egg and wait to be cracked
I'm surprised that I won pretty much all of the invasions, but when I try formal PvP it's mostly either a[sp]FUGS babby[/sp]or some kind of[sp]naked glass cannon ultrabuff demon (literally a guy wearing nothing with a giant flaming katana that hit me for 60% of my health). I only win about a quarter of the time[/sp]
[sp]I got way more wins using a large weapon rather than my claymore though, so maybe just try different weapons out to see what would work[/sp]
i wish bloodborne was on pc :(
if you send me;
a corw's eye
snake skin
gryphon tail
hydra scale
cockatrice oil
your bank credentials
trump's hair
and the tears of a stray cat
i can conjure a magic spell that makes bloodborne multiplat and base several servers in each country that supports Trump as the next US president

[sp] I use either Greataxe or Lothric UGS, they do good damage but both weapons don't have the brightest weapon art and eat stamina for days, i do win some but they are underwhelming against FUGS or other fast stupid weapons[/sp]

Still my highest rated message to this day.
I don't get it.
I know bloodborne had this but is [sp]the sit emote[/sp] in DaS3?
Yes, with multiple variants.
From what I've heard of Souls 3 PVP, the [sp]Fume Ultra Greatsword[/sp] needs a serious nerf to bring its capabilities more in line with [sp]Its Dark Souls 2 counterpart[/sp]. I watched a video of Oroboro using it in Souls 3, and he was one or two-shotting people with over 1200 HP.

it's too strong. more than half of people i've seen online are using it. i had to stop using it myself because it does way too much damage and trivializes bosses.

Its iteration in [sp]Dark Souls 2[/sp] was already strong enough; it was a very popular PVP weapon even then without being ridiculously overpowered. It should be changed to make it so again.

You know what's sadder? People defending it. No matter what people will try find an excuse and say "But you can counter it with-" or "You can parry etc" or even worse "There are other weapons that are faster and can hit harder"
It doesn't help it has a giant AR
I haven't clicked the spoiler tags just in case, but I think my guess is right. Are you all talking about the [sp]moonlight greatsword?[/sp]

Nope.
Speaking of, how's that doing in DS3?

Weapon spoiler
[sp]It's back. Created through a boss soul.[/sp]
I don't get it.
try tongue but hole, dragon!
I hope DS3 isn't short, I've heard it's light on bosses.
I hope DS3 isn't short, I've heard it's light on bosses.
A friend of mine told me [sp]there's a lot of miniboss-type enemies that aren't treated as actual bosses and don't respawn, but would most certainly have been dedicated bosses in Dark Souls 2[/sp]. His example was [sp]the Dragonrider and the Prowling Magus[/sp]. According to him, it's unfair to compare DS2 and DS3 in terms of dedicated, fog-walled bosses because of this.
I hope DS3 isn't short, I've heard it's light on bosses.
Vague description of my impression of the bosses/enemies/length of the game - [sp]every boss is worth it. Even the minibosses put up a good fight, let alone the mob enemies themselves
Basically it's quality throughout. I felt that DS3 was an ok length while DS2 was a slog to get through the base game + DLC. I think we'll be very happy with the size of the game once the DLC for it is added (provided it's a 3 deal like DS2, but I wouldn't mind 2 bigger ones)[/sp]
Besides which, DS3 is much longer than Bloodborne.
Any word when the preload will open up?
Realtalk, would it even be a spoiler to say that "Yes, the [sp]Moonlight Greatsword[/sp] is in fact in Dark Souls 3" when the weapon has shown up in some form in every single combat-oriented FromSoft title since King's Field, more than twenty years ago?
I bet that even people who haven't clicked those spoiler tags would be able to figure that one out.
Without any spoilers, is there a soul vessel equivalent in DS3 that lets you respec?
Without any spoilers, is there a soul vessel equivalent in DS3 that lets you respec?
Yes. (Mechanic spoilers)[sp]You can only respec five times per playthrough.[/sp]
Does anyone know how to use the [sp]Dragon stones?[/sp] I've already killed the area boss at [sp]Archdragon Peak[/sp], but I don't know what else to do after that.
Yes. (Mechanic spoilers)[sp]You can only respec five times per playthrough.[/sp]
Fuck yeah. Being forced to start a whole new playthrough to try out a new weapon in bloodborne was the worst.
Fuck yeah. Being forced to start a whole new playthrough to try out a new weapon in bloodborne was the worst.
from what i've been shown by watching streams and stuff, its actually [sp]5 times per character, not playthrough.[/sp] though it could just be misconception.
Is it bad that've I haven't beat dark souls yet. Like I flat out don't know what to do
Is it bad that've I haven't beat dark souls yet. Like I flat out don't know what to do
I'm in the same boat as you. I bought DS: PDE when it came out and could never get into it or beat the taurus demon but I gave it another go this week and I've already killed the gaping dragon.
Maybe it's because I'm not that far into it, but dark souls is a lot easier than Bloodborne. In bloodborne I was dying a lot to everything in dark souls I've died maybe around 10 times.
Also BB is way more linear than DaS. There's not really anyway to get in over your head but in DaS you start right in the middle of everything and you have to hope you don't run into the beef gates first

[sp]I believe it's per New Game Cycle, actually.[/sp]
I just one-shot the final boss of Salt and Sanctuary my very first playthrough. :flex:
I was rocking a fully upgraded pair of greatscissors and a tier 2 heavy armor set upgraded to max. And the armor really does make a huge difference.
I know S&S isn't a Souls game, but it's SoulsLike - and I didn't see an S&S thread on the first few pages anyway.
