Ironically i think the wait has killed me more times than i'll actually get killed in DS3 ( i wish )
I'm surprised I didn't spoil myself on anything on DS3 yet except for what was shown in trailers.
I hear that (mechanic spoilers) [sp]Armor in Dark Souls 3 cannot be upgraded, and this sort of annoys me. Does this mean that armor doesn't play as much of a role as it did in previous Souls titles? As I recall, armor in Bloodborne provided negligible defensive bonuses because that couldn't be upgraded either. [/sp]
I wouldn't mind. If there is a challenge about getting armor, it's finding it/killing the character to drop it. Farming up materials to to level it up is just tedium and it's another thing to give the tryhards an edge in PvP that has nothing to do with skill level.

I focus on damage by maxing out str and dex, and rely on heavy armor to allow me to withstand more than just a couple of blows without dying. Less effective armor would reduce the viability of builds of the sort I usually play, and I'd definitely mind such a thing.
OK I ADMIT IT I HAVE NEVER DONE THE DARK SOULS 1 DLC [editline]4th April 2016[/editline] i cant keep it bottled up anymore
I've never played any of the DLC expansions. [editline]4th April 2016[/editline] I bought the Dark Souls DLC but I never got around to playing it and I can't be assed to hook up my PS3 again.
I bought the Dark Souls DLC bought I never got around to playing it and I can't be assed to hook up my PS3 again.
It's some of the best content in Dark Souls, in my opinion.
It's some of the best content in Dark Souls, in my opinion.
It was a great little expansion. I wish it was longer though, and not so vague to get to.

If they removed the ability to upgrade armor, the game is probably balanced around it. It's not like all DS3 armor would be equivalent usefulness of DS1/2 armor with no upgrades. Right?

man I really do not like blighttown. Getting to here is such a drag that I don't even want to fight my way back out to collect more purple moss at darkroot.
Incoming video title rage?
[sp]Run up to the stairs and fuck up the dogs first.[/sp]
[sp] ive been focusing the dogs first but i just feel like im getting shit on because of equipment. Im still trying to get used to the steam controller so i can attribute some of it to that but god damn i just feel like with most of the big bosses that i cant parry they just hit randomly once more in their attack pattern and i get shit on for half my hp. [/sp]
Anything slower than a fast roll is pretty much going to fuck you up in that fight. Judging by how Capra Demon is situated pretty early in the game, you probably don't have enough stamina to block his attacks, so just roll through everything and only hit when you feel it's safe enough. Whatever armor you're wearing doesn't really matter, you're gonna' get slapped silly no matter how much defense you try to stack on. So just roll roll roll.
[sp]Might be time to head back and explore other places. MAYBE find an alternate area?[/sp]
As far as i can tell all that i could explore is a cave with infinite respawning skelis in the graveyard area. I know a bit about this game about how thats the second area to explore i think so i was saving it for later until i explored all of parish. Is there some other area i could do. I could go try and beat the dragons ass but i doubt that will work. I already have the drake sword. [editline]5th April 2016[/editline] by the way i feel like this drake sword is fuckin broken. i was getting my ass beat by the first black knight well over 100 times and then i get the sword and i whooped the 2nd ones ass 2nd try after i didnt run into him by accident. Still getting killed alot but i feel like i wouldnt be this far without that sword
When's pre-load for DS3 on PC. Are they seriously not going to let us pre-load a fucking 30gb game?
When's pre-load for DS3 on PC. Are they seriously not going to let us pre-load a fucking 30gb game?
It's a week left, chill dude. [editline]5th April 2016[/editline] Bloodborne and ds2 had a preload time of less than a week iirc.

I took capra demon on my first try with the longsword cus the design of that arena is so atrocious.
I wonder if they'll ever make a Demon Soul's 2.

I think I'll get the Dark Soul III: Apocalypse Edition (or the base game) as a gift, but that means having to wait till the 13th instead of the 12th
okay what the fuck is going on, do the DLC enemies in Dark Souls 2 have some kind of spell resistance shit going on? and I don't mean magic resistance. I'm comparing the damage of my moonlight greatsword vs a soul spear. In the base game the soul spear does almost twice as much damage as the moonlight greatsword, while in DLC areas it actually does slightly less. As far as I know they both deal pure magic damage so it's not like it's different resistances. Other sorceries produce similar results, seems like they deal about half damage. I call shenanigans
Beat Dark Souls 1 again on a new playthrough and went back and finished the other two playthroughs I started at various points over the years. Both of them were stuck at the Bed of Chaos, what a pain in the ass. Never thought I would ever fight that garbage boss 3 times in one night.

I've had spears and rapiers with similar damage take wildly different amounts of health off enemies despite having the same damage type.
i had a phonecall to ebgames in the city to ask if they were doing a midnight launch for dark souls 3 and the chick was like 'NOO! I'VE BEEN PUSHING ONE I WISH DARK SOULS IS LIFE' and im like yeah okay cuz I know video game employees are paid to pander to the customers and she was like 'man i hope it's good' and i'm like 'actually it is i've already beaten it but i still can't wait' and she is just like 'WHAT IS IT GOOD??' and im like 'yeah it's the best in the series'. she like loses her mind and asks me if it's better than 2 because she hated 2 and i'm like 'it's far closer to 1 but takes some of the good bits of 2 but overall it's better than both of them' and she goes insane and is like 'I HATE YOU I LOVE YOU' and tells me about her being invited to play it at some namco event this weekend and i'm like 'SHUT UP NO WAY' and he coworkers literally have to get her off the phone that is my dark souls story but i enjoyed it it was very strange
