Wow I forgot how much I hate Nito
Armored Core with, say the Invasion mechanic might work, maybe.
Im not too sure, Armored Core 4/5 PVP is more difficult than Dark Souls. 4 Answer especially since thats pretty much Zone of the Enders 2 with Zeroshift fast. As in ludicrous fast.
Sci-fi souls is something i wouldnt turn my nose up on.
Invasions would be so sick since when an invader shows up, they wouldn't just materialize out of there, they would just overboost in like enemy ACs already do when they show up to ruin your day
I still want a cyberpunk game with replacing limbs and thus your 'humanity'

you were actually a robot this entire time
I hope preloading starts soon, there's only 4 days left :worried:
I'm starting to think we're not getting pre-load, just like DS2.
[editline]se[/editline]
Did DS2 have preload? I might be mixing it up with another game.

Preordering is worth it for that

And speaking of Grim, 4 Awnser has you killing a metric shit ton of civilans and you paying for it afterward, especially on Hard difficulty, Last Raven is pretty Grim too, apparently.
Sci-fi souls is something i wouldnt turn my nose up on. Really, i think the guys behind Lords of the Fallen have been working on that concept, which might be cool.
The problem I have with the surge or whatever the Scifi thing that the lords of the fallen guys are doing is that it doesn't really capture the atmosphere that I'd expect from a scifi souls entry. Maybe I'm wrong, but all the stuff they showed off was generic warehouse looking/base areas like you'd see out of halo or something. I'd expect a scifi souls to be significantly more... Alien, I guess? Less in the literal sense, and more like you're exploring some kind of weird, declining civilization rife with malfunctioning robots, held together by nanites and generally almost... Alive in its own right. Like this was once some shining utopia with buildings that could rearrange themselves and mechanical overseers that took care of mundane tasks, all of which has gone off the rails over the course of thousands of years. Like the city itself has entered a state of twisted undeath.
Everything that got showed in the surge alpha gameplay looked like it could've been built a month ago.
Wow I forgot how much I hate Nito
Nito is awful for the reason you start with huge disadvantage but once you get past that, he's your bitch. It's essentially Capra Demon 2.0 just less "gang bang in some back alley" and more "fuck you, there goes half of your health for no reason".
Also getting to him is a chore.
I still think they can make a great sci-fi souls game if they create a setting like the computer worlds from Expelled from Paradise or SOMA.
Memory and computing power is finite so killing enemies lets you take up the resources they're using to make yourself stronger like souls and blood echoes do.
The depressing setting can come from it taking place in a virtual world so none of what you do really matters or it does matter depending on your point of view, and it can make the player feel like shit because they'll realize that none of their actions matter or they do matter depending on how they feel about video games.
Or it can come from the system itself dying for some reason like hardware failure or the OS experiencing glitches and needing to be reformatted, like the cycles in dark souls
So... I'm running a quality build, should I trade Artorias' soul for the tracers or make the greatsword?

You can always kill Ciaran and do both.

If you're running quality I'd say the Tracers.
The greatsword has some hefty Int/Faith requirements if you're not using either.
Dark Souls Board Game
Oh... there's also the Abyss greatsword as well
Dark Souls Board Game
Already making a Bloodborne one, why not
I knew they were making a Dark Souls board game, wasn't aware they were making one for Bloodborne as well
