What fucking chode designed SOTFS Iron Keep. No one played this area, no one
i'm excited for dark souls 3
What fucking chode designed SOTFS Iron Keep. No one played this area, no one
A friend and I JUST beat that area. He's a bit new but is rocking a huge Tank build but still had issues. The biggest issue I have with Iron Keep is that they removed the Turtle Knight Lava Bath.
Oh as if I needed an extra reason to think this area (most SotFS changes fall under this) was completely not-thought out. The fucking Forlorn spawned IN THE AIR AND FELL INTO LAVA
Aldrich looks like a really fun guy to hang out with. Definitely hyped to meet him.
It's not just the end of the cycle this time. It's the end of the whole world. I for one am super glad Dark Souls 2 is incorporated into the lore, I was fearful they were going to dismiss it. I feel like characters like [sp]Aldia[/sp] would fit the premise of the game like a glove.
Methinks [sp]Aldia, the Andre lookalike, the Abyss, Chaos, and a dragon descendant[/sp] will play a huge part in the final moments. Kindle the flame again, [sp]let another source fuel the flame instead of your own like the Chaos Flame[/sp], or let it return to a time where immortal dragons ruled? Imagine a large scale background battle [sp]with the dragon covenant and the unkindled[/sp] while you go for the Kiln?
What fucking chode designed SOTFS Iron Keep. No one played this area, no one

Are you man enough to take down some dudes in armor

I'm dude enough to take down some mans in armor, does that count?
Similarly, I like how the premise of Dark Souls 3 essentially confirms that the illusion of choice at the end of Dark Souls 1 was just that, an illusion. I mean, it is technically about the end of the world, but at the end of the day, the chosen undead doesn't really do much to change that. There are rarely any truly compelling stories that are about saving the entire world. Almost all of my favorite movies and books are relatively small, self-contained pieces of entertainment.
To be fair before DS2 there was a real implication that the Dark Lord ending would actually change the world quite a bit. The moral choice being do you hold on to the current world with all its faults or try to create a new one with unknown problems. Then DS2 flushed that down the shitter by saying "Nah, it's a cycle and it just repeats forever and there's nothing you can do to stop it." [sp]Until SotFS came around and added the "Maybe we can find another path separate to the cycle altogether" ending.[/sp]
What fucking chode designed SOTFS Iron Keep. No one played this area, no one
I used to think SotFS Iron Keep was balls until I brought a bow with me.
personally i prefer dark holes [editline]9th February 2016[/editline] beware foe but hole
Anyone have any issues running DS1 on PC recently? All of a sudden I can't get it launch properly. I get as far as a black screen and the Steam Notifications pop up, but once it gets there the game stops responding and I have to force-quit out.
Something that also annoys me in Dark Souls II is how the covenants work In Dark Souls, at the very least, I could get a general idea about what the individual covenants were about because I talked with a NPC prior In Dark Souls II most of the time you just stumble upon these statues or shrines and you are just asked to join a covenant without being able to determine what the covenant is about and what you should do to advance in it
i love how they're alluding to their previous games with those big boss boys aldrich, saint of the deep (bloodborne-esque lovecraftian abomination) farron’s undead legion, the abyss watchers (dark souls 1, artorias) yhorm the giant (dark souls 2 giants boys)
I feel Aldrich is more of a reference to [sp]True King Allant.[/sp]
make sure AA is turned off in-game if enabled in dsfix
This is a fresh install of Win10 and the game. I have yet to download dsfix.

The only ones that are really straight up are ones like the BoB, where you just fight dudes and progress. Not to say DS1 didn't have it's fair share, a la Sunbro just being a statue you can't interact with until like 20-25 FTH, but DS2 was pretty bad about it. Here, let's have this rock that alters the game in a decently significant way and not even have a vague etching on it.
This is a fresh install of Win10 and the game. I have yet to download dsfix.
well, then try installing dsfix? lol
well, then try installing dsfix? lol
I did. It did nothing. [editline]9th February 2016[/editline] dsfix can't do much when the game can't even launch to begin with
Fuck the ruin sentinels!
Kill the first one up on the platform, and then stop using the lock on. Bring lots of life gems, and attack them when there's an opening. Keep your camera on them both using manual movement, and they become so much easier. This advice is for the entire game, but the Ruin Sentinels specifically. They're a pretty simple bossfight once you get the hang of 'em.
Figured out the issue. Oddly enough the issue was the latest Nvidia drivers. Had to roll back a few versions to get it to work.
Not entirely sure why I'm in the BlueBruh covenant, I've been summoned to help precisely once and the host got put the fuck down the second I'd spawned in. It also pulled me from the Shrine of Amana to the damn spooky pirate cove. Long range jolly cooperation.
I just beat the iron keep and I just kept wondering where the fuck my ring of lava walking was, with all the chests on lava rocks I just assumed I'd eventually find one so I could backtrack
the first time i enabled 60fps dsfix on DS1 i slid down a ladder and flew through the floor, out of the world and died goty 10/10 still better than dealing with that game at 30fps

Afaik it's the only one that does this.
Been playing a pure sorcery build in SotFS for the first time. It's been pretty fun so far.
Was it the ladder that goes to the poison rats in undead burg? Afaik it's the only one that does this.
you can phase out of the world on any ladder that's sufficiently long. bell tower and hydra come to mind

Damn, I should have at least tried it sooner. I can't believe I managed to tolerate 30fps for 300 hours.
Is the Staff of Wisdom the best staff for pure sorcery builds?
Boy I sure do love the Black Gulch's soundtrack
