yeah but if he wants the special ending he's gotta beat the DLCs first also elia stick to it, old iron king is the worst DLC and the other ones have really good level design and items
If you're talking about the[sp]Aldia ending[/sp], all you have to do is[sp]kill Venderick[/sp]before you beat Nash. The doing all the DLCS just gives you[sp]that one cutscene where memory Venderick gives you the super crowns.[/sp] Which you can do anytime.
Farming blood chunks is such a goddamn drag. I heard they drop from the blue-eyed werewolves in the Upper Cathedral Ward but even with two Eye runes I only see blood shards. I gotta max out this Rakuyo before I take on [sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] and [sp]the Moon Presence[/sp] so I can kick it into NG+ Is there any better way to get them? Because spending 20 insight I don't have on each chunk is not an option.
As much as I like the generic knight character for first/casual playthrough I'm thinking of starting DaS3 as Priest-like build. Maybe it's because of how much fun I had with it in DaS/DaS2. Weapons that cast spells & that Paladin/Holy aesthetic is unbeatable. If a miracle-casting weapon comes back, I hope you can do some outrageously high mana cost battle art that casts Lightning Spears, Emit Forces or Wrath of the Gods with each swing. Imagine pulling out a Grant and slamming the ground, causing this WoG shockwave to come out and crush everything around you. We need more fancy & show-off Miracle related things.
You get a shitload getting the wandering madness in Nightmare frontier onwards
I'll scour around there, then, see if I missed any

And yeah, hope DaS3 won't butcher offensive miracles but rather make enemies less weak to lightning.
I'm going to be a cleric in DS3, and my first quest will be to get Bountiful Sunlight and Soothing Sunlight and co-op the fuck out of people.
sorxery/miracles builds tend to make for TERRIBLE blind playthroughs. if you have no idea what youre doing they always feel so fucking weak
My first build for Demon Souls was a sorcerer/tank. My builds for DS1 and 2 were straight up tanks. I feel like I'm good enough to try something different for DS3. And by that, I mean I'm straight up pumping everything into faith until I reach 50.
sorxery/miracles builds tend to make for TERRIBLE blind playthroughs. if you have no idea what youre doing they always feel so fucking weak
I think that's a function of the best spells being either hidden away or locked behind boss souls. You can make your starting Soul Arrows really fucking strong, but that won't matter if the next boss has high magic resistance. What I usually do is have two runs going at launch, my primary swordsman and a priest/sorcerer. I send in the swordsman first, and once I've figured out an area, not even necessarily beaten it, I go in with the caster and have a go. It keeps things interesting and keeps me from having a repeat of my very first Souls experience, which was essentially "mad because bad."
Sword and shield always for first run. Anything else is heresy.
Sword and shield always for first run. Anything else is heresy.
Would cleaver and shotgun be the Bloodborne SW&SH?
Would cleaver and shotgun be the Bloodborne SW&SH?
i used the saw cleaver up until blood moon, that shit is honestly one of the best weapons in the game
Tbh all three of the starter weapons will get you into endgame
Holy SHIT can you please tell me where you got this? Shrine of Storms was my absolute favorite Demon's Souls area, all 3 parts, and one of my most memorable videogame zones, plus it reminds me of a great metalcore/deathcore band poster. Need.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/246141613/shrine-of-storms-video-game-poster-wall?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=shrine%20of%20storms&ref=sr_gallery_1
Finally getting into Dark Souls 2, after dropping it forever ago because I was bad. I'm really liking the enemy changes with SotFS, plus it feels good to have like, tangible evidence that I'm getting better. For now I'm just using sword+board, but I'd like to do bigass swords+miracles at some point. Does anyone know where to get a decent two-hander at the start of the game?
The Iron Passage is fucking impossible, even if I get to summon two phantoms for help (plus another player, if I'm luckly) It's just a constant bombardment of hard-hitting melee strikes, debuffs and magical attacks Also, what awaits me at the end is a reskin of the Smelter Demon whose attacks, for reasons I can't fathom, have a screw-up hitbox

For raw strength, the Greatsword is somewhere in Pirate Funtown near the top where you ring the bell. I say go for that one because it has the easiest requirements to keep up with if you want to do miracles too.

What are some halberd tips for DS1? Mainly wondering about PvP, the Lucerne seems like my best bet (due to it doing only thrust damage)
bk halberd is best
you can literally just run to cool ranch smelter
Honestly, I'm fucking tired of running like hell past everything to the next bonfire or boss fight. That's the way I advanced in the Old Iron King DLC up to this point I've never done such a thing in Bloodborne and Dark Souls, because, even with all the pain involed, I do like to explore every area as best as I can and defeat enemies for their souls/blood echoes
The mace itself was kinda gimmick with ridiculous split damage. And yeah, hope DaS3 won't butcher offensive miracles but rather make enemies less weak to lightning.
Yeah, I kinda want unique weapons like the Grant & such to not be straight up gimmicks. Now I'm not saying everything should be viable, but everything should be viable. Some things should counter eachother but imagine how much fun the game would be and how fresh it would remain if you could do anything & not actively handicap yourself as you do it.
u fuckin wot
Can you drop your "I've already beaten this game thrice or so easily, so what's your issue again" attitude just for once? It'd be refreshing
Is it true that helping a host defeat a boss as a white phantom lowers the Faith requirement for the Altar of Sunlight? (in DS1)
Is it true that helping a host defeat a boss as a white phantom lowers the Faith requirement for the Altar of Sunlight? (in DS1)
Yes.
