Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread VIII. At The End

I know the rule in ds1 is if you run out, you can't sprint anymore until 120% of your stamina is filled, but I think a roll will cancel this out. However that will leave you with less stamina still
What was your ADP?
Also I quickly learned not to get too greedy even more so than in Dark Souls 1.
With stunlocks being even more dangerous you just can't risk it, period
I pumped it up to 100 AGL, but even with that I just fluff my rolls a bit too often for my own liking :v: Thankfully my stamina recovery is pretty quick so if I roll far, far too early it's not going to punish me for risking a second roll or a block.
Fuck's sake Ancient Dragon can eat my ass. Literally every single death has been because my character won't run despite having full stamina, and I need that fucking soul
To this day, Ancient Dragon remains the only boss i've never killed because fuck that noise.
Also my biggest hope for DS3 is that i'll actually be able to experiment with Boss/Unique weapons without having to take hours and hours just to farm one of whatever rare material will upgrade it.
I chameleon'd into a pot in anor londo and hid in the bonfire room after I got invaded last night. After 20 minutes the invader was still hanging around and finally gave up looking and instead set up and camped in the boss door hallway with the giants and archer, gesturing me to come down and face him when I emerged. I decided if he was going to be a faggot like that then he'd be okay with me spamming Wrath of God's at him.
He wasn't.

The best and only way to really fight him is to stack all the fire defence you can find and continuously fire great arrows at a distance. Dont bother fighting him with melee.
Oh jeeze, finally beat the dragon, if you fuck up his toes, he kinda just breaks. Terrible boss. Finally got the, uh, prize for all the crowns, and I have one question.
Given that SM fucks everything up, when should I stop leveling? I was thinking of bumping up my int & faith for some weapons that require it, as well as maybe my STR for powerstance shenanigans.

I've never fought the Ancient Dragon, and I don't expect I shall. I'm not gonna kill that dude while he's chillin' and givin' out free stuff to strangers, he dindu nuffin'.
comfy dragon did nothing wrong
He did one thing wrong in my eyes.
Be a boss I hadn't beaten yet.
Ancient Dragon has such good music too.
I don't know why they fucked that one up when they had Kalameet as an example. Sinh shows that they realized they fucked up, but still... you literally just had to do a bigger, slower & tankier version of Kalameet.
Why they just made him an instant one shot machine with broken hitboxes is beyond me.

salty peanut watched me choke out 3 times on that boss in a sleep-deprived state last night
Cutting Seath's tail is proving to be insanely frustrating, especially since I've spent most / all of my souls so far buying sorceries for this dumb achievement. I'm level 41 this is hell
I did it with a mace once on my SL1 guy you must persevere
Just finished Bloodborne + The Old Hunters for the first time last night.
What a ride.
Went back to Dark Souls 2 today because I never got around to doing the DLC, and I've got to say that everything feels like the character is swimming through molasses.
Why do the enemies attacks have five year long windups?
As much as I want to play it, the game feels so slow to me that it's borderline unplayable for me in my current mindset.
Not to mention how garbage the early areas are in SotFS.
Is it true that, should you defeat him without taking damage, Ser Alonne will commit sudoku upon death?
Also, WHERE THE FUCK CAN I GET THAT BLOODBORNE ARTBOOK?!
so that was different

They stayed in that arch and started chugging estus like there was no tomorrow. I counted probably twenty before I joined in. Once I ran out he bowed and vanished, and I got a message that I defeated him...

It is true. He pulls out a sudoku book and one of those tiny pencils at has at it.
Seriously though, he does have an alternate death animation.

I've got so many hours in Dark Souls 1 and still every time I fight the firesage it's a disaster, its the only boss I still have a pretty big amount of trouble with idk why I've been killed by it more times than all the DLC bosses combined
I tend to roll too much when I fight him, so I ended up missing the safe zone during his attacks, plus I get impatient
I still don't understand why in Dark Souls II every boss room must be preceded by a grand total of six to ten armored, hard-hitting, often mini-bosses level enemies whom every sane player will most likely dodge to reach the resident boss and exist, I can only assume, only to force a player to waste some healing items before the final battle and sucker punch the character as it attempts to pass the fog
Was doing a little PVP in Drangleic Castle. See the host turn into a crate and fall gently to the bottom of the stair steps while I was spawning in. Was just standing there thinking "Huh, how funny is that?" before the dude blew his Climax all over my face without buying me dinner first and I died instantly. That was my last Cracked Orb, too.

While [sp]Aldia[/sp] is a challenging bonus post-final boss and I really liked the general tone of the "forsake the throne" ending, like many things from this game, the game's ending doesn't live up to the Dark Souls standards
The final area of the game is just a long series of stairs towards the last bosses' arena you can access easily via a previous level. There aren't any enemies.
[sp]Throne Watcher and Throne Defender[/sp], the first final boss fight, is yet another fight the developers decided to make cheap for no reason: a pair of "huge ass knights with a huge ass weapons" with the same combos one grew familiar with over the whole game, they are challenging only because you face both of them at the same time. You can't even focus on one of them at a time and deal with the other later because the remaining boss will resurrect the other
[sp]Nashandra[/sp], who is the proper final boss of the game, comes out of fucking nowhere, with no motivation for antagonizing us whatsoever, and fails to live up to FUCKING Gwyn, Lord of Cinder in pretty much everything. She's also rather easy, as long as you dodge her orbs
Also, a minor grip I have is that, should you wait to enter the [sp]Trone of Want[/sp] only after acquirin the McGuffin, you basically have to face three though bosses in the span of few minutes. Something rather tricky to do without outside help
I think I'm kinda done with this fucking game. In the following days I'll consider if I'll have the will to clear the DLCs too. As of now:
- The Old Iron Kind DLC is completed, with the exception of Alonne
- I don't know how to melt the ice inside the Ivory King DLC (aside from that, I've explored the whole area already)
- I can't even go far in the Sunken King DLC before being sniped to dead by not one or two, but FOUR ARCERS, who also come with poisonous arrows
I'll see if the mood will strike me
