The stiffness of the bow animations made me laugh, looks like the bow has barely any power at all with how easily it's drawn back, but still does decent damage. Hope they polish those animations but I might actually play a bowman for once, sick mechanics
Looks like you're still protected from damage during a backstab.
Some weapons can use battle arts to perform quicksteps, much like bloodborne.
Those rolling and quickstep animations tho.....
Also, it feels like dodging/rolling uses less stamina. At least compared to DS1, which is the only one I touched so far.
Looks like you're still protected from damage during a backstab.
Good, you shouldn't be punished for doing something right. Getting damaged opening doors, pulling switches, and walking through fog doors was bullshit in the DS2 network test and I'm glad they mostly pulled back in the full game.
I still wish they'd change how the health/mp/stamina bars looked. Something about them looks super bland
Uh oh That backstab, soo DS1 Lagstab fest imminent RIP
It's like you guys forgot the Network Stress Test even happened. Those instant backstabs only happen against NPC enemies, not real players. Instead what happens is that you get locked into a backstabbing animation but the opponent is still able to freely dodge away, so if you still somehow get touched by the animation then it's entirely your fault. Those mountains remind me of the view after beating the Asylum Demon

This'll take some serious skill to pull off, lag or not. This is my fucking SHIT right here. I hope they add a whiffing animation for the final build or atleast take out the fleshy impact noises if you're not hitting anyone, would be cooler to see him trying to backstab with that axe and instead fail horribly.

With that bow swordart, i imagine a bow that shoots sword and lets you be super anime. :v: I like how they handled the dagger in general with its special move.
Some weapons can use battle arts to perform quicksteps, much like bloodborne.
Anybody else notice that his quick dodges were consuming mana?
It's the weapon art of the dagger.
Anybody else notice that his quick dodges were consuming mana?
All Arts do from what i understand.
I imagine the lance weapon art would be the typical charge thrust attack, hope i'll be mistaken.
Now the question is - will they make same battle arts for every weapon in the whole class or everything will have its unique special move/ability?
Now the question is - will they make same battle arts for every weapon in the whole class or everything will have its unique special move/ability?
I'd imagine it'd be class wide with special/boss weapons having their own, like special L2s in DS2

The Lost Sinner is a perfect example of a boss who isn't challenging for his abilities or flunkies, but because he was made artificially hard The guy is yet another big humanoid with a huge sword with the same moves as his predecessors, only this time the entire arena is dark so it's a bit harder to see which move is coming at you and your lock on the boss can set itself off without warning at the worst time Granted, I've beaten him easily, and apologies for repeating myself, but the bosses in this game are fucking uninspired
