All those corpses stuck on torture wheels on the rooftops is literally straight out of Berserk.
Honestly not surprising, given how that's their main source of inspiration

Un-private video. I dig it. Don't know why people are complaining about the song, saying that it's not "Dark enough" or "a bastardization of the original song." Well people do covers all the time, and songs have been re-purposed multiple times for as long as Hollywood was around.
Some sick fat rolling action at 0:43.
I seriously can't stop watching the Dark Souls 3 gameplay footage to the point of addiction now, It looks such a massive improvement over an already amazing game, the dodge attack combo's and the increase combat speed it looks like a natural blend of what they've learned across all the games and i fucking love it! [editline]24th February 2016[/editline] Older video but enough said really.
My second trip to Blighttown (NG) was kinda smoother than the first, and I can't say I'm not a little proud of myself for it Also, this time around I slaughtered every sniper I could get my hands on before leaving just to make a point
Fire Tarus Demon?
man those wheels on the roof are literally berserk [t]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/63/98/d2/6398d2ef5dbd0ac08d92f5bb223b7188.jpg[/t] [editline]25th February 2016[/editline]
All those corpses stuck on torture wheels on the rooftops is literally straight out of Berserk.
oops but pic for posterity
With this game being even more inspired by Berserk, does this mean there's gonna be a part in the game where we spend 15 hours standing around on a boat?
With this game being even more inspired by Berserk, does this mean there's gonna be a part in the game where we spend 15 hours standing around on a boat?
DarkSydePhil still gets confused
Pvp in DS2 PS4 at the moment is really pissing me off, opponents are nowhere near you nor is their weapon attack yet its still connecting and hitting making it impossible to time your dodges properly. Bloodbornes wasn't like this so why is DS2's so shitty ( also constant humanity loss during pvp is fucking frustrating to replace )
Speaking of boats, I'm surprised we haven't had a bossfight on a boat vs. some ocean creature. In DS2 I was so sure that it'd happen what with the big ass boat between Wharf & Bastille, but nope. Dark ocean scenery would fit in really well with the aesthetic Dark Souls has built. Plus it might be an easy way to make a puzzle boss that doesn't suck dicks.
Again, however, I stopped playing because I ran out of herbs and therefore can't go any further. Great.
Go to 1-1 or 1-2 and grind for them you dummy Or grind souls and just buy them [editline]24th February 2016[/editline]
I really don't like grinding for anything in any videogame whatsoever, but I'll see what I can do
Okay use the dupe glitch on the grass then. Nobody's gonna care
Looking at the trailer, the one enemy looks like a cross between Turtle Knight of DS2 and the Armoured Pig from DS1

I imagine that in the Dark Souls universe, there isn't any sort of evolutionary chain, and most things just sort of popped into existence outright or through magical tampering.

My favorite part of that trailer is when the player is fighting a giant tree creature, and it lifts its foot to stomp him, but he double rolls out of the way.

I'm kinda sad fat roll is just fat roll. Dunno why, but I was expecting more. Maybe they tuned the recovery frames or something so it's not strictly unbearable. I never understood why heavy knights are so prominent in the game yet actually playing as them gets you annihilated.
friend who is playing dark souls 1 for the first time just said he thinks that artorias is bullshit i am now short one friend
Something I loved about Bloodborne was for the most part the hit detection was flawless. I remember so many times dodging just under an enemies blade, and it felt so fair. Something I despise about Dark Souls 2 is how brutally unfair the enemies attacks feel. So many instant kill swings when you are behind someone because their lock-on is preposterously strong combined with bullshit damage.
havels ring and loads of endurance
yeah I'm doing that right now at level 28 and just barely midrolling with 32 strength 20 endurance
I agree, when I first got ds2 I quit after I beat the game, didnt even go into ng+ cause I hated the pvp mechanics and deceptive range of npc's. went back to ds1 played it again pvp was still wonky, but I was winning much more often. came back to ds2 1.7 years later, pvp is still full of bull, but I realized that there's a consistent way of dodging pretty much any attack, and you do it by rolling headfirst into everything because your invincibility frames are at the start of the roll and nowhere else. I THINK you can avoid getting backstabbed 100% of the time with a well timed roll as well (you have to roll pretty much at the same time they press r1, if you are late/early, you will get sucked in, get mad, and call bull). lastly, what REALLY REALLY made this game fun for me again is learning how to parry. I want to get good at parrying so I found this: parry stats. parrying rescued the game for me because the satisfaction of cutting down those undocked havel meta builds with ridiculous health and glazed weapons ~oh man. tldr: parry everyday.
huge stretch but that hand at 0:30 reminds me of Seath the scaleless from the dark 1 intro
As much as I liked bird-waifu from ds2, I hope we don't get something similar in ds3. I don't want a fan service character.
