I tried killing the worm so Patches' could keep going, but I didn't know it would detonate like a goddamn nuke and blasted me and Patches' into a million pieces. Fashion souls must prevail, and that was probably my favourite ring in DS2, hands down.

How active is Belfrey Luna at this point? I want to actually try and defeat the Gargoyles for once but constantly getting invaded by multiple people isn't my idea of fun but outright disconnecting my net seems kinda pissy.

If you get to the staircase and you haven't gotten a fog door then it's safe to say that you're good for the next minute or so. It used to be much worse, as in the moment you stepped out onto the bridge a fog door popped up

Oh I originally got DS2 at launch so I experienced the area at a pretty shitty time. It frustrated me enough to pretty much kill my first playthrough of the game and I'm only recently getting around to actually beating it. Walking onto the bridge and instantly getting invaded by two people just wasn't my kind of fun, but damn it I wanted that key for the Lost Sinner fight.

I remember I played DS2 the very second it came out. If you put down a soapstone in Heide's Tower of Flame, you'd be summoned in literally seconds.

I remember spending an hour or two just grinding souls by putting my sign down in front of the Old Dragonslayer's gate. Takes quite a bit longer to get summoned now but when I was playing through Heide's tower a couple of weeks ago it didn't take long to get summoned, though generally it was the same couple of people over and over (they tended to die against the Hellkite dragon).

You know what's ironic? I've spent several posts whining about Dark Souls II, and the game is really the only Souls game I regretted buying, but it did something great, as far as I'm concerned: it made dual-wielding a thing, and so gave dexterity players something to differentiate themselves from all the other guys with a shield and a big sword (unless you are playing a caster)

Dark Souls 2 murdered my family and shit on my dog thanks From's B team you bunch of frauds.

Dark souls 2 had the shadow set in it and tbh that's all I never knew I wanted. I hope it comes back in ds3
