[QUOTE=archangel125;49868749]giant spoilers[/QUOTE] Dude, link the video, don't embed.
[QUOTE=Nidhogg;49868860]Dude, link the video, don't embed.[/QUOTE] What's the problem with embedding? I only see a play button + a thumbnail with nothing really in it.
[QUOTE=Nidhogg;49868860]Dude, link the video, don't embed.[/QUOTE] The thumbnail and title contain no spoilers whatsoever. If there was a reason to embed it, I would. But there isn't, so I won't.
[QUOTE=archangel125;49869185]The thumbnail and title contain no spoilers whatsoever. If there was a reason to embed it, I would. But there isn't, so I won't.[/QUOTE] i dunno that title seems slightly spoilerish to me as to what your character is/ could be.
[QUOTE=mickers;49869203]i dunno that title seems slightly spoilerish to me as to what your character is/ could be.[/QUOTE] He always has some pretentious title in his videos, even for DS3 he's not suddenly going to stop baiting. Nothing relevant.
[QUOTE=mickers;49869203]i dunno that title seems slightly spoilerish to me as to what your character is/ could be.[/QUOTE] For the record, it isn't. It's a Vaati title.
[QUOTE=archangel125;49869417]For the record, it isn't. It's a Vaati title.[/QUOTE] Then you should have said this from the beginning. I assumed "Lord of Hollows" was a boss name or something from the game. I'm not going to watch a video and possibly spoil myself just to verify if the video title is even a spoiler or not.
[QUOTE=archangel125;49869417]For the record, it isn't. It's a Vaati title.[/QUOTE] What's that got to do with it?[sp]it still alludes to Yuria referring to you potentially ruling over her/others, it's still a reference to a spoiler[/sp]
[QUOTE=archangel125;49869417]For the record, it isn't. It's a Vaati title.[/QUOTE] It's not,[sp]it's something one of the Darkwraiths calls you after you've gotten 5 free levels from the turtle hermit and he's dead. She refers to you as the "Lord of Hollows" and he mentions failing Kaath when you off her and she uses the Dark Hand.[/sp]
Gotta love how that video ends. VaatiVidya, master of the creative process. [sp]Just fucking kill everyone.[/sp]
Unsure or not, DS3 videos shouldn't be embed but should use the URL tag instead under the name "spoiler video" or something. At all times. No "but".
[QUOTE=KaptonJack;49869479]Gotta love how that video ends. VaatiVidya, master of the creative process. [sp]Just fucking kill everyone.[/sp][/QUOTE] [sp]That's what everyone did with the remainder of their time after they reached the end of the build, to see if anything fun happened, haha[/sp]
Had to temporarily halt the stream, but it's back up now. Killed Flamelurker, Maneaters, and Adjudicator, and now Old Hero. [url]http://www.twitch.tv/nidbutt[/url]
K I'm having the worst experience with Dark Souls 1. I started with 2 and finished it along with its DLC. I keep replaying it cause I find it very entertaining. Now I'm like maybe I should finish the first since I keep trying but never do so. Goddamn. It's so fucking frustrating and annoying sometimes and is not enjoyable. Let's start with the Capra Demon and the build up to him. The fucking dogs and their hitboxes are so stupid yet they seem to stun lock me to oblivion. Then let's say we actually get to the Capra Demon. The fight takes place in literally a 20x30 sq ft box with foliage that fucks the camera and 2 dogs that rush and stunlock you. At least in DS2 multiple enemy management is actually possible. Then the Capra Demon can just lunge straight up the stairs with his fucked up hitboxes on his swords. I then beat pretty much everything afterwards with 0 deaths until Blighttown. The area itself isn't hard. The only times I've died was bullshit geometry on the wooden planks that push me off or the fucking elevator. People also say the "level design" is better in DS1. Sure, the settings and places look cool but fucking Anor Londo--let's have the player walk on a 2 foot beam and maybe they won't get hit off! Great idea! Also the idea of no immediate teleportation is stupid. Yes I get the whole epic exploration and journey is cool, but it should be cool getting to the bonfire then having access to teleport to anything you've already been to. Not journeying back and forth for no goddamn reason to upgrade armor. Cause here's the situation I'm always in: Blighttown swap bonfire, 45k souls. I want to upgrade weapons now but I need to walk all the way to New Londo Ruins > Firelink > then Andre. Then I die on the way, then trek yet again and die on the elevator losing those souls. Don't get me started on the awful controls as well compared to DS2. Also I swear, every time I drop souls and play as carefully as I can to retreive them, I die in the most bullshit way possible. Capra demon, dogs block me. Snakes all of a sudden stunlock me and push me off in Sen's. Quelaag stuns me then does her fire blast before I can recover. The demon in the Asylum (don't remember name, the underground one) swipes at me right as I land before I can do anything. Assassins push me off in Anor Londo. Elevator bugs out in Blighttown.
why didn't you upgrade before you left
[QUOTE=salty peanut v2;49869583]why didn't you upgrade before you left[/QUOTE] No titanite/souls to use. Everytime I end up in Firelink, it's with less than 5k souls.
so you decided to go down to blighttown without upgrading? good thinking

Did you get the weapon/armor upgrade boxes that allow you to upgrade at bonfires?
[QUOTE=eatdembeanz;49869616]There's a blacksmith in New Londo. [QUOTE=Bokito;49869618]Did you get the weapon/armor upgrade boxes that allow you to upgrade at bonfires?[/QUOTE] Ah forgot about that. My mistake on that, then. Goddamn it.
[QUOTE=Niven;49869627]Haven't fully went into New Londo, I was only there to get back to Firelink from Blighttown. [/QUOTE] He's in the safe area at the vey beginning of New Londo, you really can't miss him :v:
[QUOTE=NitronikALT;49869723]He's in the safe area at the vey beginning of New Londo, you really can't miss him :v:[/QUOTE] Either way, I lost all my souls because of the elevator. I'm at Anor Londo right now, and who thought two archers shooting greatarrows would be a great idea?

Try the fight with the EK set or knight set with the wolf ring on a newer character, and a +5 wep, the battle becomes hella easy. It's a badly designed fight for sure, one of the games few "GOTCHA" moments. But it's not as bad as the stray demon surprise your first time, that one is complete garbage.
[QUOTE=Quantuam VTX;49869732]Capra is a poise check if you arent used to the roll mechanics yet. [/QUOTE] I wear light armor so I can do the max roll. When I tried during the fight though I would either a) get stunned by the dog then killed or b) survive for a split second only to then die by Capra's fast spin. Sorry for the ranting, but it just annoys me that people think this is a godly game and 10x better than Dark Souls 2.
A very, very basic rule for you to follow when you play Dark Souls: Accept that you will die. Accept that your deaths will be frequent and embarrassing. Even the best players, the most experienced veterans make fatal mistakes from time to time, dying to enemies that shouldn't have given them any trouble at all. Then every time you do, think about what went wrong, and what you can do to avoid the problem. Keep throwing yourself at every obstacle that defeats you, refining your techniques, honing your timing and your dodges to a razor's edge, and finally victory will be yours, and it'll taste sweet. Your strength and skill will be forged in the bonfire; through defeat after defeat your technique will be sharpened, your skill tempered, and you will go from a hapless victim of the horrors that beset you to the bane of all who face you. THAT is what makes the Souls series great. The lore ties into it, too. Those who lose hope, who give up, are the hollows that go mad. The Chosen undead is one who has unbreakable will, no matter how many times he or she faces death.

Pretty much just like fighting the Royal Rat Authority but faster and with better-telegraphed attacks.

[QUOTE=Dr.C;49868606]So I've been thinking and isn't the brain of mensis a joke character? I mean it's covered in eyes and literally stares daggers into you. It's just a giant pun. Also the sequel to bloodborne should be called Bloodborne: First Blood: Part 2[/QUOTE] It's pretty much a Shoggoth
[QUOTE=NitronikALT;49869826]The stray demon is among the first mobs you get to see...[/QUOTE] Thats not what im talking about. Im referring to the floor on which it caves in on to fight him. You can walk on it clear as day at the start, and even fight the asylum demon while it swings its huge hammer around no problem. But if you find your way back, it just decides to collapse? There isnt even a tell sign on the ground or anything, it looks the same as before. It also doesnt help that the base hollows can walk over it no problem on your return visit. It's another "gotcha" moment of the game.
