I also edited the Elite Knight armor to look more like how it appears in DSII.
I've made it a bit too blue, but I reckon it looks nice.

What? It's good man, it's Artorias walking into the Abyss. You can see AGS & AGS, the armor isn't exactly on point but it's pretty artoriasy.

That's clearly Elite Knight armor, dude. Only with the character so cartoonishly proportioned it looks like something made by freaking Lionhead studios.

It doesn't look extremely EK, I only really see it in the helm and the head, but that's still GS of Artorias and a sharper greatshield of Artorias.

That cover is from launch, it's pretty much touched up concept art of what looks like a top-heavy EK set, some kind of kite shield, and an Artorias-y sword. Not to mention that isn't the abyss, and New Londo(and thus the ghosts) wasn't really a thing when Arty went to face Manus. Basically it's just an odd cover for the game that doesn't really feel related to what you do in the game, or any particular character from the game. The similarity to Artorias would be meaningless at launch and it's more likely that the art is related to the concepts that went on to be incorporated into Artorias.

I don't know about the shield, but the sword is an extremely scaled down Black Knight ultra greatsword.
