He obviously did download it and somehow feels threatened now. Don't think he'll be back.
Right, if I don't want to be called a criminal, that must translate into "I don't want help" which is why I came to find answers to the problem, because I don't want any help. Your logic is groundbreaking! There can't "possibly" be any other answer why a mod may not work other than the user must be a criminal, right? Because ME2 is so mod-friendly. If you don't have any actual answers or anything that helps posters, why do you post at all? Just to start flame-wars?
In other words, he illegally downloaded Mass Effect and doesn't want to admit it.
The Kasumi ultra download links to Samara.
Are the screenshots the Ultra or the Optimised ones?
While I very much appreciate the support, it's probably going to take me a few months to finish this thing up. Between work, college and time for myself, I'm uncertain how much time per day I'll be able to devote to the mod.
Oh yeah it was worth the wait by the way.
Y u no rar archive work?!
I try to download the formal wear or the other rar archives and both 7zip and winrar claim that they are broken.

In that case I'm afraid I can not help you any further.

Works fine for me. Maybe re-install your copy of WinRAR?
Works fine for me. Maybe re-install your copy of WinRAR?
I've tried 32 bit and 64 bit of winrar (4.10 stable build).
I've tried 32 bit and 64 bit of 7zip (9.20 stable build).
None work.
Can you upload in 7zip format? I would appreciate it.

Alright, time for a release.
First off is, of course, Miranda's AAP armor. This comes in two variants: The first has her unaltered "Full" visor, and the second has an appropriately styled "half" visor. Choose whichever you prefer.

Miranda APP with HALF visor.
Later tonight, I'll be releasing Garrus' AAP in two variants so stay tuned!
How do I go about getting Texmod to work with forced AA? 27X told me how to force it to the normal .exe with Coalesced but whenever I want to use Texmod, the forced AA is no longer existent. It's probably a really simple process but I can't seem to figure it out.

Two questions:
1) Is your version of the game retail or steam?
2) Are you using an ATI or NVIDIA card?

Love the half visor. It looks so much better than the full visor but what about the improved Doctor Kenson you showed off?
Also any chance of a visorless AAP Jack?

Ooh, visorless AAP Miranda would make my day.

Steam and using nvidia.
Any word on if uMod works as intended? Making those few minute load ups take mear seconds? I'm just jumping into trying your texture work out and want to know what's up, haven't seen what affects the original textmod has on the initial load times for me but I'm always a fan of the 'new' and open source sexiness.
I think you have not got around to linking your recent Miranda AAP textures in your original post as well, made me scan through all 9 pages cause I thought there would be other things you'd worked on but failed to link in the OP but looks like it's just the Miranda one at the moment? That or I just missed it there.

I've been trying to get uMod to work but it's a damned frustrating program. A few textures import just fine with 0 loading time, but apparently there are some issues with the program that gives it issues with Mass Effect 2.

Yes I see that. It's not that hard to get working, there are 3 methods to get it to work and I can see that it would be very easy for someone to get confused and use 1, 2 or all 3 methods at the same time which the readme says you should not do etc. It's just as easy to get using it as textmod, add the game and launch it and it can swap textures in and out of the game in real-time theororetically (it's what it says...).
Anyhoo there is the specific 'bug' of it not working for ME2 over here so I gues we can monitor that till it's fixed: http://code.google.com/p/texmod/issues/detail?id=4
Eitherway textmod still works of course and a few minutes for initial load isn't a big deal at all for now.
Your textures are greatly appreciated by the way, making games better is something gamers need to do more of and I find it sad that all games don't get the same treatment as this (everygame should have people falling over themselves trying to do what you are).
Steam and using nvidia.
If you're just using an Nvidia GPU that means you can use the NVIDIA Control Panel to add AA to almost any game including Mass Effect 2. No need for weird ini file editing or anything. On a gtx 560 I am seeing above 60fps with 16x CSAA and 4x on transparency AA (I'm unsure if the game uses many transparencey stuff so it's on just in case, prolly don't need it on though.)
EDIT: Hey JeanLuc761 you don't have any way of actually changing the armors in the game do you? Removing the helmets from most of the DLC armors for example. I assume not but that's definitely something I've wanted for some time and I know a lot of others do as well. Some of those armors are amazing BUT the helmet kinda kills it for people wanting immersion or just a character that has great armor but isn't living out of their dang helmet 24/7 :) Anyhoo, played a few hours with your textures and they are pretty rad. My only complaint is I forgot how to enable to console in the game as it's been too long since I played it, I like to zoom around and take images and such, and google search finds weirdly taht the game doesn't have an in-game console which makes no sense since I have real images from the flycam and various other console command options... WEIRD!
Hello!
I tried Texmod 0.9b, it works well but i recognize a high frame drop on certain locations.
For example:
with texture load in texmod
37FPS
without texture loaded in texmod
122FPS
It doesnt matter which texture i load and if the texture is visible or not. In this Example above i load a Zaeed texture but he is not even on this level.
Anyways, great work on this textures JeanLuc761 !!! I love it but it is sad that your work isnt fully enjoyable because of this crap tool Texmod.
I play Skyrim with over 1400 (~3GB) HD Textures and is runs smooth with my HD6970 but only one texture loaded in ME2 with Texmod and my framerate gets crippled on some locations where it shouldn't be supposed to.
So Jean-Luc... You gettin' ME3?
*evil grin*
Not sure how many know this but Jean luc and this mod was mentioned on PC gamer back in january http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/01/26/mass-effect-texture-mod-makes-massive-improvements-to-main-characters/
By the way, the Half-Visor Miranda texture got taken down for some reason.
Mirandas' got to lose the botox.
HD6970
there's your problem. texmod preforms really bad on AMD cards
Anyone got a link for the Half-Visor AAP Miranda?
