Anyone got a link for the Half-Visor AAP Miranda?
One page back, look harder next time.
Have a problem with installing the mod. Using the steam version and completed the steps for it. However, since texmod has been renamed to masseffect2.exe, where do I lead the prompt for texmod? Using the renamed exe does nothing.
Sorry, fixed link is here.
First of all, I'm taking my hat off with respect to a modder like you. Just finished me1 (adept on hardcore, took 75 hours for a 100% completion), I wish I knew about Garrus' face fix before this 3rd playthrough. Any way, just started me2, such a terrible console port even compare to me1 (which was good port thx to Demiurge studios), graphics are worse than in the first game imo (all maxed out in config utility and in nvidia control panel), I was wondering if is there any chance I can have high res textures for my custom femShep' face? Does you mod enhance overall quality for all the faces in the game or only for 10 non dlc squad mates? Thank you.

I know the textures are low res but they aren't THAT bad ;) That said, I've been trying to get decent FemShep textures going but the major issue with it is that FemShep uses the same base textures as all female NPC's in the game. So something that might work for FemShep doesn't work for everyone else. I'll figure it out eventually.

What's bugging me the most it's the lack of eyelashes on my character's face, iirc they were present in me1. I see you have xbox and psn profiles so I wont bore you with my hate towards consoles, I'll just say that I can not stand these evil things. E: nvm, set anisotropic filtering to 16x and antialiasing transparency to 8x, now I have the eyelashes. I will be waiting for custom femShep's high res textures from you. Keep in mind that judging by a demo me3 will look even worse.

have any good texmod alternatives popped up, or have loading times improved at all?
have any good texmod alternatives popped up, or have loading times improved at all?
Loading times are still the same. uMod has better loading times but the UI is horrendous in my opinion. By the way, JeanLuc, what resolution are the models in ME3? They seem good but not 2048x2048 good.
deleted as unnecessary
Can you help me?? =>I have to do all the process (use Texmod in retail[disc]) every time to start the game with the new textures? => How i put more than one texture (ex: select jack and* jacob) on the list? when you say: "6. Choose what mod(s) you wish to use, then click 'Open.", i can only select one of them to run. => How do i know that is it working? and it works on v1.02? OBS: Sorry if the questions are stupid, but i have to ask.
Well, this has been a long time coming. Finally got off my lazy, unmotivated ass and started working on mods for Mass Effect 3. To start, here's the ports of Legion and Tali (default outfit). A few more releases for ME3 today. We've got the porting over of Mordin, Miranda, and Samara, as well as a "restoration patch" for Ashley that changes her face to look more like her appearances in ME1 and ME2. Making ashley look from me1 would be cool
Making ashley look from me1 would be cool
but impossible :c Do we have to download that texmod junk for the me3 skins?
but impossible :c Do we have to download that texmod junk for the me3 skins?
Yes.
have any good texmod alternatives popped up, or have loading times improved at all?
Umod is many times better than TexMod, not stealing FPS! And look here, if you have any interest, but it will be strange ;) http://masseffect-universe.com/load/
Wow, never thought I'd see this thread rise again of its own volition. Sorry for not keeping the thread going folks, but I haven't been doing much work on the project. However, there has been a significant "breakthrough" for want of a better word, in that ME3Explorer now allows me to directly modify the game files to use the higher resolution textures. This only works for ME3 right now, but what it does mean is that there's no longer any need for Texmod (well, until I inevitably come across some kind of catch).
Actually I found ME2 very beautiful without any texture mods and I see no point in one.
Actually I found ME2 very beautiful without any texture mods and I see no point in one.
Which is perfectly fine and I'll respect that opinion. I would make the argument though that Mass Effect 2 is beautiful largely due to its phenomenal art direction rather than its technical achievement.
I would make the argument though that Mass Effect 2 is beautiful largely due to its phenomenal art direction rather than its technical achievement.
Sorry to revive dead(ish) topics, but I agree. That said, texture mods make it that much more spectacular to look at
I'm sorry to revive this thread after a full YEAR of no replies. I tried loading this mod up on ME2 because I'd like to play through with the modded textures. I followed the instructions to the letter using texmod v0.9b and the files that are hosted on the official bioware forums. However every time I load up the game the mod doesn't load. The textures are still the same and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. I don't know if it's origin causing an issue (I installed it off a disk but patched it + DLC through origin), or if Texmod is just refusing to work properly. Has anything changed that's buried in the 9 pages of forums that was not placed in the OP? I noticed someone mentioned something about uMod or something, but I'm still pretty confused why it's not working for me.

I wish I could help but I'm really bad with installing mods on ME2 as it is, but it has been a long time so its most likely broken. Bioware are good at breaking mods with their updates.

I'll try to take a look at it and see if a recent update fucked with Texmod or something.
You have to make texmod point to Me1/2/3 THROUGH origin and remove a dll file. You'll need to create a batch file to make it work.
You can find all the downloads for this modification at the far bottom of this post, past the demonstration screenshots. I will be uploading detailed comparison shots throughout the upcoming week in order to make the difference more apparent. Thanks for your amazing job on this ! As Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming, I'm trying to finish ME2 & ME 3. I must admit I'm in love with DeadEndThrills' screenshots and I'd like to have the same game on my PC (core i5 and Nvidia GTX 970). Unfortunately all yours files were uploaded en 2011 and are no more available from Gamefront or Filefront. We're in 2015, Marty ! ;) So... does anyone still have those files somewhere on his/her harddrive ? Or, best, on any file sharing site ? I'm looking first for squadmates' ultra textures and anything that can make my game look similar to DeadEndThrills' screenshots. Thank you very much ! mamieyannick
