I had to register to say dude, your work is spectacular. While TexMod is a pain and causes ME2 to take 10 minutes to load, its worth the time to play through with squad members that don't look like their textures were made for duke nukem 3d. Keep up the good work man!
The old ones didnt look that bad, They could've been alot better but they certainly didn't look like they were made for duke nukem 3d. Loving the textures on this mod though.

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration with the duke 3d reference, but yeah they looked alright, just not up close, not like these textures. Amazing how one person can do what BioWare couldn't....make ME2 look like it should be on this generation of systems.
this made me cry
through my penis
And now for our next release: Mordin Solus.

Now see that's the kind of definition and sharpness Garrus needs.

I'll see what I can do. Striking a balance between too smooth and too sharp is a difficult task when the source material is so low resolution.
You should pack all of the files in to one download as well as having the individual downloads, so its easier to get, but people who want to customize more can still pick and choose.

I will absolutely be doing that once the squadmates are all finished. I still have Jack, Samara, Grunt, Kasumi, Zaeed and Thane to complete. Once they are done, I will be releasing a Squadmate pack.
Oh, I know.
This started out as 128 x 128, and is 4096 for the operating diffuse and set up for the normal in source.

Another awesome release. After the squadmates are done, any plans to do other details? Armors of enemies, aria t'loak, etc?

I imagine that once the squadmates are done I'll move onto requests. Aria is definitely a character I'd like to see finished, as are the annoyingly low resolution "generic" outfits that all the NPC's wear

*smiles*
How's this for definition and sharpness.

sexy.
Also request for Wrex.
I'm kind of hesitant to try this, because of TexMod.
However, it looks amazing judging by those screenshots.

Yeah, Texmod kind of blows (takes forever and a day to load).
Also, I'm actually quite glad 27X suggested I revise Garrus; he's turned out far better.

Looks awesome, specially the scars.
Garrus is definitely lookin good now, can't wait to get my hands on it. What kinda requests? You'll probably get alot from the adult scene haha.
Thanks for the mod.

Next step, exogeni suits? :v:
From the look of those two screenshots, the mod isn't working for you. Do you have Texmod set up properly?

I thought they were working properly; it looks nice.
But I'm pretty sure I have it set up correctly, but I might be wrong. What should my pictures look like? Miranda looks nice in the 2nd one, I think, but not what it's supposed to look like?

She should be looking more like this:

See how the hexagon pattern is clearly defined and shows a lot of depth?
Also, for you Garrus fans, here is the revised version of the previously released mod. This gives Garrus a much rougher face (more in tune with his original), and fixes up quite a few areas on his armor.

I play the 360 version and I can't complain about the textures at all. But I still see significant improvements over the originals. Good work.

I appreciate the support :)
Garrus was one of the biggest "offenders" of having a low resolution texture, and I think this comparison illustrates it pretty well.

Revised Garrus looks insane! props for "modifying existing genophage, much more difficult"
i have a HD 6990 and texmod absolutely rapes my performance. i go from a constant 60 fps with 24x AA to 10-15. I'm thinking texmod might be disabling crossfire.

Why do you even need 24x AA. Doesn't 6x or 12x AA already smooth the edges out already ?
Why do you even need 24x AA. Doesn't 6x or 12x AA already smooth the edges out already ?
i don't really need that much AA but the 6990 can run it fine (without texmod) so why not. i tried setting AA back to 2x to see if that was killing my performance but it appears it was not. my framerate is still terrible.
Might be an ATI thing, I have an SOC nVidia GTX460 and it runs it smooth as anything, including coalesced graphical enhancements and AA
Most AMD driver archs are not happy with external texture injection. See: Brink.
:allears: if only you did the generic Shepard skin (for custom faces)
That one *did* have its own texture, right? I haven't poked around that much with ME's textures
