Yeah that site doesn't and can't really take into account the huge push that happens at the end, so don't expect the number to be close to that, it all depends on how big a push it gets in the closing moments. Double Fine Adventure made 300k in it's final hours, but I don't think this will reach numbers that high. [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] Also more artwork is on the kickstarter page. Just a tiny pic though, hopefully a larger one will follow.
Postal's pic is better, no dumb black bars.
Oh well hey here you go:
We have over 2.5 million on kickstarter page. Only about 53 hours left.
We have over 2.5 million on kickstarter page. Only about 53 hours left.
Don't forget paypal. We have almost 2.6 million.
Just donated 50 Bucks. I just want to see this thing happen. Edit: They are at 2.5 Million right now. They probably include a Modkit once they hit 3 Million - but I guess that's going to be hard, since there are only 51 Hours left.
Can't wait to see some actual screenshots.
Decided to upgrade my pledge from $15 to $65. After play the original Fallouts again it reminded me how good this project is going to turn out. It just sucks that the $50 reward requires an extra $15 dollars for international release.
I hope it's like that concept art and has overgrown towns. I'm not expecting cities though, a mix of urban and rural gameplay suits freeroam games better, even if the urban part is all ruins.
Based on your top requests and a forum poll we now offer the following as part of the $30 tier: An extra digital download of the game in any format. Many people wanted to be able to get a Mac AND a PC version, or PC and Linux, or even an extra PC version for a friend. Now you can. Access to a collection of exclusive Ranger portraits that will double the pool of character portraits you have to choose from at the start of the game when you are rolling up your Rangers. This unique image collection will not only give you more Ranger portraits, but more Ranger icons used to display your party location on the world map. Access to a four-episode Video Development Blog that will show you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the design and development of Wasteland 2. Sit in on designer meetings and art-review meetings to see the process behind how the game is made. See interviews with Brian Fargo, Chris Avellone, Mike Stackpole, Alan Pavlish, and the rest of the development team as they explain to you what they are doing and why they are doing it. A novella by Chris Avellone based on the universe of Wasteland. Of course, all backers who are in at higher levels will also get all of these added items too.
Just added in update #13. Now I'm gonna have to find the cash to update my backing so that I can get my brother a copy too...
Factoring in the 10% deduction and the money made on paypal, NOW they've crossed $2.5 million.

Holy shit they asked for $900,000 and they already got $2,900,559. This is outrageous, they could build three of these games fuck.
Oh man that ticker fills my heart with joy! Good to see there are still fans out there of classic CRPGs.

With paypal, did they hit 3 million? And is Tim Cain going to come into this?
With paypal, did they hit 3 million? And is Tim Cain going to come into this?
Yes. No.
Community funded games seems like a good idea, hopefully others will catch on.
