looks very blurry
I think they probably up-scaled a picture then pasted ui elements on so they could get feedback before finalizing the changes in game.
New video.

Just a bit of an update, Wasteland 1 has had a sort of Steam release and if you backed Wasteland 2 you'll receive a key in the ranger center.
Also the Wasteland 2 beta is around the corner and should be up before 2014.
as an avid fo1 and 2 fan and player of the mmo this would be sex
Wasteland 2 beta is up for those that backed $55 or more.
Check your emails or the ranger center for more details.
This looks amazing why havn't I seen this before.
I just played some of the beta and it's looking very promising.
It has a strong Fallout vibe, looking like FO1 with modern graphics.
Oh, and you can die as soon as you gain control of your squad by digging up the nearest grave. So, uh, best not to do that!

You probably haven't seen much since this thread is mostly dead. Though maybe the beta will pump life into it.

I don't think this game will see much popularity, it's kinda why the genre died out so many years ago..
But as for the beta, I'm having a blast. It's exactly what I wanted and I'm glad that's what we got.
I heard this game might come to Early Access. Would it be worth picking up then or would it be better to wait for the game to be finished?
It's on Steam now

This game completely blew my expectations away, even if it is just a beta currently.
I completed the Ag Center, but now I crash once I leave.
But other than that, I'm enjoying it a lot.
i'm really thinking about buying that whole 60 dollar price... i'm hearing some good news (and general negative bather in the steam forums).
Any ideas on how to save that guy tangled by vines in the Ag Centre mushroom caves?
Anyone know how to switch to the secondary weapon without going into inventory and changing them around?

Z or X
Thanks man!
is anyone else getting heating issues ? the only game that makes my GPU reach about 78C with my fan speed nearly maxed out is just this, any other intensive game i.e BF4, etc doesnt get past 60-65
Try v-sync or some other way to cap framerate (eg to 60)?

using Vsync makes no difference ( i always have my FPS capped at 60 anyway )
Shit, I may as well just ask here instead of the fallout thread
How combat heavy is this game? I liked fallout 1/2 a lot since much of the games takes place in interesting settlements and locales (this goes double for F2) and the game provides the ability to avoid combat entirely, even.
Is the game sort of this constant barrage of unavoidable enemies, or do parts of it take place in settlements?

You can avoid some fights with words. Or cause more with words.
How do you heal someone from being unconscious? One of my rangers was mortally wounded so I had to perform surgery like 20 times before it was successful but then he only became unconscious. (Level 1 surgery)
Nothing else is bring him out of the unconsciousness, is that a bug or am I missing something? I've tried all the healing items I have.
I had a bit of trouble with that. I kept doing surgeon until they got up. I don't think they finished that bit yet.
Both my medics went down and after the battle, I couldn't do anything to help them.

I probably didn't phrase the question well. Does it play like Fallout 1/2 in terms of world exploration and pacing?
Fallout 1/2 has potential to play as such:
Step 1: Leave the Vault/Leave the camp with very loose and general objective
Step 2: ?????????
Step 3: Addicted to jet and digging up peoples graves in Golgotha
However if the game plays more like this:
Step 1: Begin the prison level
Step 2: Play through the prison level and move to level 2
Then it's probably not my type of game. Not trying to sound dickish or anything, the videos I've seen look awesome, but at 60 bucks I'm just hoping the game is totally non-sequential and non-linear like Fallout 1 & 2.
It is Fallout 1/2 in 3D.
You leave a location, you travel over a map, have random encounters, find a location, enter place and do shit, leave back to map.
And the beta lets you dig up a grave right off the bat. But at a terrible price.

The beta also gives you 2 quests that react differently depending on which you choose first. Or both go bad if you don't chose at all.
Sounds cool then, thanks.
Whats the total playtime looking at so far for you guys?

I believe the beta offers roughly 15-20% of the game at 10-20 hours
