I can do it if anyone else wants to; I think I can figure out how to set up a Google Forms page for it. :v:
Holy shit do we have enough crewmen for 18 multicrew ships???
Retaliator: pilot, engineer, 5 gunners x6 = 42
Connie: pilot, engineer, 2 gunners x12 = 48
90 people for full crews on everything :incredible:
i know for sure i will be buying an automatic fire control system/hiring NPC gunners in the PU
[editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
not counting the concept multicrews of course
Welp, looks like we'll have to see 3 years from now whether AI will be better or worse than random plebs.
Confederation of Facepunch and Also Gunners. C-FAGs
Making the form right now btw, please hold. There are a lot of fuckin' ships if nobody's noticed.

Took RSI/FP name off because forms displays it as if more than one of us would have the same name and doesn't give me an option of not including those questions in the displayed response, so screw it.

[sp]no cutlass variants?[/sp]
[editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
if the SH counts as a singleseater, why are the herald, gladiator, and khartu multicrew?
Fixed, I derped and thought I added the Red and Blue but fucked up and just kept going instead of actually adding them. :v:
[editline]17th August 2015[/editline]
Because I grouped the Hornets together, when CIG releases three single-crew Khartu-al variants (lol as if) I'll move it to singleseaters.
Also, I turned on unique responses because I just realized that people could submit crap or accidentally create multiple responses trying to correct things. Requires logging into Google. If this is a problem let me know and I'll turn it back off. You can edit your answers after submitting.

Hey, Elix. I think you forgot the Redeemer gunship, could you add that?
I am so goddamn mad right now.
I install the client, boot it up, and half my ships are missing. I verify the integrity of game files (Which takes an hour), delete the user folder, and try again.
Go to the holotable, pick my super hornet, try and put badgers on the ball turret and wings... Spawn in game with one badger repeater missing for no reason from my ball turret. Quit the game, start it again, try again. This time only two badgers seem mountable on my Hornet at a time. I give up, stick M4As on the wings, stick Badgers on the ball turret. Spawn in game, there's only one badger on the ball turret. Return to the hangar, try putting both badgers back on. Discover that now, I can only mount ONE badger on the Super Hornet at a time.
What the fuck, man.
The holotable's fucked up, it's a known bug. The holotable sometimes doesn't clue in that a weapon attached to a ship shouldn't be listed on the right anymore, and so when you drag it off that, it moves it from one hardpoint to the other instead. Close and re-open the holotable to see if that happens.
If it does, delete the (username)_inventory.xml in your Star Citizen\Public\USER\ folder and restart.
The holotable's to be replaced entirely so they're not really doing anything to fix it.
We seem to have more Retaliators than Connies.
I suspect that has to do with the module/LTI sale.

I bought another two Badgers with some residual store credit I had. I own six in total now, that's 68 USD worth of Badger repeaters. I am not proud.
The holotable's still treating the fucking things like I own a maximum of three, even after I followed your instructions. I even stripped the Super Hornet down of all its weapons, closed the holotable, started it up again, and tried attaching the Badgers. Nothing.
I'm done with this until the next patch, I think.
This was happening before the latest patch, and use REC to get items instead of buying them with UEC, sillyhead.

Think the social module release later this month will also mean the holotable is replaced?
I kind of doubt it but we might be surprised.
Star Citizen's unplayable for me until the devs make it possible to mount weapons on your ship without the game fucking it up.
We seem to have more Retaliators than Connies.
Five Retaliators sounds like it'd be enough hit 'n' run against a small capital ship. Look at the size of those bloody torpedoes, and we've got ten(?) per bombing run.
[editline]18th August 2015[/editline]
In short, I want to harvest the tears of corps who save up for weeks to get a mile-long ship only to send it back to drydock within 48 hours.
Unplayable because you can't put badgers on an otherwise-working SH? Forgive me but you might be just a little overdramatic over a long-standing bug.
You don't even have the problem I have, which is that if you remove the Mustang Beta's canard turret for any reason, it's gone from the holotable until you delete your XML. :v:

I've got a module Retaliator so I can load up to 4 torpedoes.
Huntokar dropped a lot of interesting first hand insight into quantum drive and the system in the multicrew demo.
before the demo I always assumed you'd be locked to flying between points of interest due to the instancing system, being able to move freely changes gameplay a lot, for better or worse
like, now scanner ranges have to be extremely high, because otherwise you could just take a long, arcing path between jump points, away from anything else, and never encounter or be seen by anyone
Welp, looks like we'll have to see 3 years from now whether AI will be better or worse than random plebs.
Confederation of Facepunch and Also Gunners. C-FAGs
I'd imagine the NPCs should be at least competent gunners, what with over a decade of games with stationary turrets and such. Wouldn't trust them much to pathfind well in a shredded ship and fix shit, at least at first. They'd probably be fixing the coffee machine when the sheld generator goes down
Hmm, the initial results are interesting. I seem to be the only one (so far) who bought a Hull series (B) or a Reliant. We have more Talis, SHs and Avengers than anything else, with Omegas coming in close behind.
Props to the single-ship owners of the Aurora MR, m50, Freelancer, Cutlass Black, and 315p who each declared that they are at their spend limit. Nice work sticking to your guns.
To the people answering 'no' for their spend limit, what ships do you intend on buying in the future/what are you waiting for? Obviously, answering is optional (since the form's anonymous). I haven't listed any future ships just to avoid confusion.
If I should add another question, "What upcoming ships do you plan to buy, if any?" and list the known pledgeable concept ships (the Endeavour, announced but unreleased variants, etc.), rate this post informative as a quick poll. People at their spend limit are obviously excused.
Any answers to this one would be more speculative than confirmed because nobody should be making decisions on ship purchases before at least the concept art is revealed, but it would give us a picture of future plans as well as the current state of the game. For example, if for some reason there was mad votes for the Endeavour because it's a dedicated science lab ship, knowing about the high interest in the science ship might be the deciding factor that has someone melt for a Carrack or something.

I hope the Constellation will have an option to load torpedoes in the cargo bay. If it does then FP could wreck even small groups of capital ships.

Well it's not self-guided so it isn't a torpedo buuut

"warning: can cause injury or death"
I got a freelancer before they advertised the other variants, but I read somewhere that all these ships are customize able, I'm curious if that extends to be able to create the variants off the base freelancer with enough in game time and money.

the variants have completely different hull structures, especially the max. If they make it possible it would have to be through a different process than the usual swapping of ship modules/engines/stuff. Probably some sort of factory proccess where you put in the old hull and wait for it to be refit with cost, rather than the standard instant swapping we see on engines and weapons.
exploring the RSI forum a bit

[editline]18th August 2015[/editline]
updated the title with the census to get attention from non-regulars, and melted down the fucking $75 dropship rollercoaster chairs to put towards something else (I swear it said 25 or 50 in the store at the time, oops). likely looking at Gladius, rounding out the collection with avenger to solo travel, tali for group play, and a more nimble short range fighter for escort and more demanding dogfights
I think they're starting to move away from the unique hull variants plan with the new modularity system; I heard something about being supposed to be able to transplant the ass business end of the MAX into a standard 'Lancer. Don't quote me, I'm waiting to see it happen, but the modularity system should be a game-changer in a major way for any ship big enough for it. The 'Lancer has gotten bigger in general, too.
The Tali modules are entire section swaps, and that... MIGHT include the hull segments popping out and being replaced with slightly-differently shaped hull shapes that still connect at the right points. As much as it'd piss off the tiny screaming segment that demanded CIG not sell the 350r as a regular ship, a 315p could theoretically swap out dat ass for the twin-engine setup.
Thanks for putting it in the title, dai
