Tried the new supposedly more stable build. Crashes every single time trying to load the Olisar map. I already deleted my user folder and verified.

And wow I haven't played any space sim games so driving this space ship is a completely different beast to me. And why doesn't my space ship come with a toilet?
1: Blood rushing to your head because you're maneuvering super hard and nosing downward. Likewise you'll black out from pulling up too hard. You have a few options to consider- 1) be mindful of how hard you're flying. You don't have to go 100% throttle all the time. 2) rotate yourself 90 degrees so you're technically making left/right turns instead of tilting up/down. 2: specific ships have specific roles and are built around a purpose. Your sedan doesn't have a toilet but it's just to get you from point A to B on short trips. Conversely, a camper has a whole kitchen and beds and even a shower. The mustang beta is pretty cozy camper on the inside if that's what tickles your fancy [t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starcitizen/images/5/54/Mustang-Beta.png/revision/latest?cb=20141227171727[/t]
Vanduul Swarm seems to work just fine. The game in Vanduul Swarm is running way better than I've ever seen it run as long as I don't raise the resolution to my native 1440p. [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] It really sucks being limited to 2 Badgers in the Hornet. It's so undergunned and undershielded stock.
news: CIG Frankfurt is going to rewrite/update the engine for DX12 "(soon)"
Yeah, 100% of the time I try to load Olisar I get a "Star Citizen has stopped responding" message. [editline]1st December 2015[/editline] Looks like it's not just me. https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/3uxogf/ptu_200f_crash/ I gotta say though, messing around with the Hornet in Arena Commander it is now heavy as hell when it comes to changing velocity which feels great, although I'm crashing into stuff much more often because I'm not used to having to think that far ahead. It makes me wonder what the faster ships fly like. I'm especially curious about the Gladius and 300i, because both those ships used to excel at the Descent ADADADADAD FPS style of flying.
I got in once, managing to duck into a server without hitting the 15/16 problem. At first things went well but after five minutes performance went down the toilet before it finally crashed. I was getting 6-second hangs trying to turn my head so that I could activate the airlock and get back outside to the landing pad in the hopes that getting away from the station would improve fps (did not). Also, a note: At first, pirates around comm sats would ignore you and dogfight the AI if you just ignored them and got out. Now they will punk your ass immediately if you try and park near the door. At least they do to me in my fragile Omega. Bringing back the Avenger Titan (which my PTU account still thinks I have since I haven't recopied to preserve my PTU Issue Council history) was where I crashed during death lagfest, so I'm not sure if that would've helped.
Oh, I thought the g-safe mode would prevent that from happening, I guess the threshold for the screen effects to trigger is higher than I thought. And damn, camper variant looks nice, but I'm not a fan of the mustang's exterior. Can't wait until other ships get the camper treatment.
cutlass has some beds, non-combat seating and a toilet, and plenty of space to lay junk out if you're going space vagrant. Above that, the freelancer series is basically a semi truck equivalent of this [t]http://www.imcdb.org/i014240.jpg[/t] Constellation series of ships are essentially big personal boats with camper amenities tons of cargo space, and decent guns all over

And for good measure, here's the Connie's commercial. Reminder that Star Citizen takes place 960 years from now so the cultural references to 20th-century scifi are not only intentional, they're cultural touchstones from our first baby steps into space before interplanetary and later Jump Point travel was discovered and then commoditized, in just the same way that we still incorporate references to King Arthur and similar old legends in our modern lives.
.

Damn, I might actually shell out some cash for a virtual toilet.

probably late but [t]http://3kv.in/~techbot/ShareX/2015/12/01/15-57_188.png[/t]
Awesome, I'm in. Time to spend ten hours downloading, get pissed off at the 300i's handling, CTD and then face a four hour long update because a texture was backwards.
Fuck....
Chances are you will be in the next batch. Unlike me:
Is the standard SC game directory necessary when the PTU is installed? I want to delete it to free up some space but don't want to break any required files for the PTU.
nope
this is actually kinda refreshing compared to many FPS games just topping off your current clip from a reservoir [editline]e[/editline] meanwhile voice command apps are out of control
My experience so far with the PTU: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Dm2mGfp.png[/t] 10/10, haven't been able to do this since IE6 on Windows XP.
We've all been there, when we drag the error prompt around the screen to make pretty designs.
I did it mom, I did it. I'm in.
I really want the Carrack or something to be moddable to carry something more substantial than the scout ship referenced. Like a Gladius or a Hornet or something a bit... more. Ultimately I want a multicrew ship that can be a half-assed carrier/mothership type deal for 3 people or less.
Thou shalt not covet a pocket carrier.
finally I was on long enough to discover distress bacon [sp]after fighting the pirates at the beacon the game decided to go into turbo-slow mode. Actions were the same, shooting was sped up, but jesus the ships were swimming in peanut butter. Getting out didn't help, I drifted super slow too. Is there something I need to do at the beacon? doesn't do anything when I approach.[/sp]
finally I was on long enough to discover distress bacon
Sounds delicious
