Stats are usually wrong, at this point.
It says the Mustang Omega is a two-seater. I own an Omega and I can confirm there's barely room to throw a corpse behind the seat, much less a proper second crew station.
It says 0 cargo here https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/mustang/Mustang-Alpha but i guess it's optional upgrade once game is ready?
[editline]13th March 2015[/editline]
But if that's true then im keeping mustang. I really like it in general.
It says 0 cargo space because it doesn't come with a cargo container. There is, however, space for a container in the back. This only applies to the Alpha though.
If there's space for anything, there's space for cargo. The listed cargo space is just space specifically for cargo, but nothing is stopping you from filling your spaceship with crap for trading.
poor aurora

It's more or less useless now, isn't it?
the LN eats mustangs for breakfast
the LN eats mustangs for breakfast
Not the Mustang Delta.
[editline]13th March 2015[/editline]
The Aurora's greatest weakness is its speed. It's quite agile, but in the wrong hands or caught by surprise takes little more skill to kill than a Vanduul Scythe.
Oh right, i hope you ppl remember what day it is:

- Subscriber Flair Release
- Inside CIG: Music
- Fly Free Week: All AC-Ready Ships
- Letter from the Chairman
Go go.
New PTU patch dropping at about 8 eastern this evening, no 1.1 release tonight, just confirmed on Reverse the Verse.
The PTU patch should have most of the features planned for 1.1, including MAYBE retaliators in hangar. Some things are broken that will be fixed in 1.1
Foundry 42 asked for the Xi'An Scout to be backburnered in favour of the Herald, which is now out of concept and working towards hangar-ready. That suggests it's being used in S42 sooner than the Xi'An are.
Next week they're aiming to have the next ship sale up, which should be the Vanguard, formerly Bulldog, the deep-space fighter, intended for extended missions ahead of the supply chain and being the first strikers.
BTW, if anyone has friends who missed out on the PAX East free-fly or want more but aren't ready to commit to a package,

Also, March subscriber hangar flair is out:

Basically a thank-you plaque for being a subscriber, and an in-fiction award for supporting the arts.

In the R&Y, it's located in the room that's behind you at spawn (what will eventually be the elevator and way down to planetside). Haven't checked Self-Land and Aeroview.

What happened with the aurora? I was about to buy one so I could get a starting ship, but now am holding back.
In dogfighting and racing, the Aurora's reasonably outclassed by most everything, but it's the baseline jack-of-all-trades. And a loaded Aurora can still tangle, even if it's not as fast. Skill trumps equipment, but a skilled pilot can do more damage in a Hornet than an Aurora.
The PU will be so much more than racing, Vanduul Swarm, and AC arena-size PVP, the Aurora has a place still.

Well, if we compare spaceships to cars, the Aurora's an old Volvo. Tough, reliable, and this one can lug a decent-sized cargo container along. It's even got a bed, which is actually going to have a function when Star Citizen launches. The Mustang, on the other hand, is a cheaply-made dogfighter. It's better in a scrap than the Aurora, it's faster, more agile, but it's got less armor.

Can you use this ship to get credits to buy other ships? During the free cred week or w/e is on at 15th

Not the one from the free flight week, no. But if you pay for a ship, you can melt it down for store credit towards buying another ship. Just keep in mind that if the package you bought gave you access to Arena commander and you melt it down, you'll lose that access.

Alright, thanks for the info!
Just two more question:
Have they discussed what exactly is going to happen on the 15th? Just killing ships to get credits, how do you check the credits or buy ships with them?

The 15th? Well, I'm not sure the REC (Rental Equipment Credits) system will be in place by Sunday. I believe it'll come into play when they roll out Arena Commander 1.1, but you should be able to fly with the free ship(s) they give you for the promotional event. Ships you rent with REC will be with you for only a few days, and will not be usable or retainable in the persistent universe. They'll exist only in Arena Commander, which, in the game's lore, is a virtual reality simulator.
In the full game, your credits will be accessible via the in-game OS, mobiGlas, which replaces artificial menu screens. Here's an entire design post about mobiGlas.
The SXSW show will be showing off the social/planetside stuff, whatever they decide to talk about.

What time is that stream slated for?
The holotable is filled up completely with all the versions.

Any one have a SXSW 2015 COUPON CODE?

So that means only the ships you buy with real money can be used everywhere?
So that means only the ships you buy with real money can be used everywhere?
Correct. They're pledges to support the game's development. Once the game actually launches, ship sales with real money will be stopped for good, and you'll be able to earn all those ships and more in the Persistent universe just by playing - Provided you have a game package.

Oh cool, so in game credits outside of REC can be used to buy ships for the universe? Or just playing the game gives you ship unlocks to unlock more of them?
Thanks again for all the info, going to read up on their forums.
All ships will be earnable in-game; it'll be like any RPG-like system, doing things will earn you money, you spend money on shit, ships included. Some ships will not be purchaseable on the open market, like Vanduul ships (the "enemy" alien race), and you'll need to capture them or buy them on the black market, but everything will be obtainable somehow without real cash.
It's not some weird F2P six-currencies-and-exchange-rates-from-real-cash scamstravaganza.
Now, having said that, you will be able to buy in-game credits with real cash, but there will be limitations. Currently you can only buy $25 worth of credits every 24 hours, and the maximum cash you can hold at once is $160.001 worth. This is optional, and it's intended to allow people to support the game and advance without having to spend hours and hours in game, if they're more of a casual, once-twice-a-week player, like a parent.
SXSW stream started. [del]Supposed to include lots of new persistent universe details[/del].

Well, so much for that. The Austin team was talking a lot about talking about the PU for SXSW including a trailer but I guess they didn't finish it for the presentation.

notes for the ptu patch http://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/2yytw2/sc_110_v2_patch_notes/
ok, I was happy before to assume that the lack of balance was just that - they haven't even bothered with it
but now I'm pretty annoyed because there's a slew of really dumb balance decisions here, I mean in what universe did the 300 series and m50 need another nerf???
So tried hornets, and pretty much all ships except cutlass. I have to say the huge argument with people arguing The lead indicator vs PIP is ridiculous. I mean both are pretty damn good equally, neither is better than the other and its all to personal preference.
