I keep forgetting that it's not "one real week", too, and rushing into the My Roms section of my account to make sure I renew my shit at the 20% discount you get on renewals. And then I get there and there's 3-6 days left on everything. :v: Fuckin' Anxiety Commander. Just loading the hangar doesn't spend a token, and [I]attempting[/I] to load AC (but failing because it dies on the loading screen or something) doesn't seem to spend a token. But if you spawn in a ship in space, a token's probably been spent right then. Edit: Thinking about it, I don't really give a shit if they nerf REC for co-op VS to half its current rate, it's too easy to gain. My Aurora LX with quad Badgers (this is about to be fixed, but okay, two Omnisky IIIs or K&W laser repeaters on the S1 mounts is still effective) can compete against three other pilots of equal skill unless every single one's in an M50 or a SH, so I can count on a consistent REC income as long as I don't get matched with Team Ultratryhard. And, y'know, I'm not limited to the LX, but I don't even have to pay REC for it, just any guns I buy, so that's the baseline and it goes up from there. And once the fps module goes up and it's CoD Citizen day in and day out (and the crowd of holdouts rushes in), holy shit is it going to be easy to farm REC once the fps gamemodes/matchmaking are stable.
I keep blowing REC on Gimbals and Weapons for my Avenger (I made sure they fall under the proper sizes and whatnot), only to have them NOT show up in my Holotable. wut do? D:

D:[/QUOTE] When in doubt, delete your inventory xml in CitizenClient\USER\you\youinventory.xml. The whole inventory and purchasing system rarely works right.
Delete (username)_inventory.xml from your Star Citizen\CitizenClient\USER\ directory and relog. fuck :v

The game is way too buggy to force a grind on somebody, especially when all it does is prevent people from testing things out, which is the whole point of Arena Commander. Despite the fact that I've actually been having fun playing Star Citizen for a change, Arena Commander really isn't in a state of completion or polish to be played or thought of as a real game yet. I'm hoping it won't be a big nerf, and were this any other company I would expect things to go completely to shit at this point, but REC is already a freakishly forgiving and user friendly system so it might not be as bad as I'm thinking.

I've tried deleting my inventory.xml settings with limited success. I can now see my weapons under the "weapons" category on the holotable without any ship selected; but as soon as I select my Avenger it all disappears. Now, that leads me to believe that the gimbals I bought (tried both S2 and S3s) and the weapons I've bought (Badger and Panther) just won't fit on the Avenger... But I've heard stories about people putting a Panther repeater on the nose mount before? How is this possible?
I think it'd be kind of funny to have an all-ES race. :v: Cheapest ship in the REC store, weapons don't matter, everyone's equal, not completely slow and uncontrollable so it won't be a total disaster. Use LeftAlt+M for limited-look-ahead mode if you don't have TrackIR.
Welp, I got one thing to work: missiles. Apparently you can equip size 2 on the Avenger's rack. (Cluster Missibles are pretty cool.) But that's it as far as I can tell... Edit: Reading some old patch notes states that the Avenger can ONLY mount the Tigershriek on the nose, and nothing else. So besides S2 missiles on the only available racks (the default ones), I am limited to my two wingtip, size 1 mounts, where my repeaters are. Any suggestions for swapping those? Or are they pretty much the best I can get at the moment? Not much variety for only-Avenger pilots. D:
Remember: A gimbal mounts guns one size smaller than itself (at least one, possibly more). Hover over the hardpoint ball on the turret and look at the slot size(s). If you put a gimbal in the S2 mount, it will have one or two S1 slots and will say either 1 or 1-1. A S3-mounted gimbal can take S2 or possibly only S1 guns (a gimbal with autotracking, for example, goes down a slot size due to the bulk taken up by the tracking hardware and would go S3->S1). Badgers are S2. Panthers are S3. Bulldogs are the S1 guns. oh, wait, you're trying to replace your Tigerworkstoppage nose gun. Yeah, no, as you said, right now that's the only thing that goes on the Avenger's nose and that's the only place the gun can be mounted.
The Avenger nose gun is special and can't be swapped out for anything else at the moment. I don't know if it's going to always be that way and stay a unique gun, but that's how it is for now. With only S1 on the wingtips, yeah your options in the Avenger are unfortunately very limited. Sledges are super good to carry in S1, but those are getting nerfed next patch for good reason. Omnisky IIIs are pretty fun too if you want a slower firing but heavier hitting gun than the Bulldogs. I'm still hoping that at some point you can put some giant spinal mounted gun on the Avenger in the place of the nose gun. Maybe as a variant eventually. sounds like the A-10 and its gun also that picture makes that ship look way more interesting than just the ship by itself, I can't stand the weird hump shape without thinking about how it'll just kind of nose dive in circles if it were in atmosphere
Yeah... it kind of bothers me too. I wish the ship was a little longer, so it would make it look less "stubby" and "fat". Plus, the strange angle that the wingtips curve up at BOTHER me to no end... I'd rather just have flat wings as opposed to wingtips...

Good for Anti-capital combat, terrible at fighter based combat and is an alternative to heavy torpedoes.

PSA to remember to always test your loadout in Free Flight before taking it online. Like 9 times out of 10 something gets screwed up and I'm missing a gun or three.
