I like them, it's like a non-fancy, fast, brutal fatality for specials.

I was expecting huge sick combos that tore your opponent limb from limb as you carried them out though, but simple finishers were always something i wanted in MK. There's nothing more annoying than fucking up a fatality and limply slapping someone in the shin to finish a fight.
I think the most brutal part of them comes from how they can just end a fight very quickly. With Fatalities the character does a shout or whatever at the beginning; here you don't even realize it's a finisher until it's over, sort of like Kung Lao's. They aren't a dramatic death for the opponent, they are just quick, painful and...well, brutal.
So, Brutalities are normal moves that [i]actually[/i] kill people instead of taking down their HP? Count me in.
Boon's just tweeted a picture of a cage for tomorrow, so that's got to be Johnny. Here's to hoping for Erron Black.

With Johnny having just been shown off in the comic, it seems good timing. Boon trolls, but his hints like that hold truth. He never puts up a hint that has no meaning.
He put up a picture of Bernie Mac and Green mac and cheese before Ermac's reveal. The day before Reptile's reveal he did similar things.
It has to be Johnny. I can't wait to see him in action.
Might be more characters than just Johnny, since it's gonna be a story trailer.

I mean, Kano's choke move as an actual finisher! I used to do that anyway in 9 because it fit him so well.
Maybe disappointment isn't the right word. I just expected super bloody mess. I can see it being pretty good because they seem to be easier than doing fatalities and they end the combo in a bloody way.
Thought at this point I think the names Brutality and Fatality could be switched.
