I just want to know how the game series as a whole explains characters getting totally murdered in a round, and then reappearing 10 minutes later for another round where they get totally murdered.

This character appeared in the comic and the writers confirmed that it's either Reptile or Chameleon. No ones seen the costume before either, considering how lizardy he looks and I think someone might have said the colouring of the costume was off I think Reptiles in.

All the writeups portrayed it as an animalistic killing machine completely divorced from the original soul, and the Armageddon intro had it using those hooked chains as weapons to grab and pull in victims... while in-game it was just an alternate costume for the normal character. That still did the goofy shouts. And had nunchucks for the weapon slot.
