They're probably referring to the guy who sent an email off to Netherrealm Studios and got a response from customer support stating that the game would not get a pre-load and would be released at 1:00 EST.
I really want this game but I have a feeling it's going to pull an Injustice and there will be plenty of DLC characters outside the season pass, so I think I'm going to have to play the waiting game.

I went to go rewatch the story from MK9 to check and saw this comment
[sp]Quan Chi has to be the best character in this game. He killed Scorpion's family disguised as Sub Zero so Scorpion could kill old Quan Chi's enemy. Then, he brings Sub Zero back to life and turns him against his own brother. Injustice had two more DLC characters (Martian Manhunter and Zatanna) besides the four from its season pass (Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, Zod).
MKX may follow a similar situation.

I kind of hope so. They announced all the hype before the game came out, and the Kombat Pack isn't called a season pass anywhere.
I guess I didn't notice Martian Manhunter and Zatanna because I didn't get into Injustice until there was a $5 deal on it for PC, which was complete I think
They were giving out copies early here in Austria but I couldn't play for more than an hour because I wasn't home :v:. Life is cruel. Game is awesome though, doing some of the brutalities is really tough.

not for nothing, steam servers are already going to be overloaded with gta v. which means i will either have to uninstall some games to make space for mkx or put it on a separate drive.

Same. Why, oh why can't game releases nowadays fucking work? I wouldn't mind if it was a really slow download as long as it worked when it was completed. I don't give a shit about this pre-load nonsense if it doesn't even work. At least I hope this has to do with the pre-load "feature" because if they seriously released this on PC with a crash to desktop included upon selecting any gamemode than that is pathetic.

I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it wasn't for my shitty CPU. I can bear with 20 to 30 fps in single player games like GTA but there's no way on earth I'm going to even bother with a fighting game if I can't run it at a smooth 60 fps, that's just a recipe for disaster.
I'll just keep on looking at different Mortal Kombat videos like I have done for the last hour until Steam fixes this issue.
